  • In this video you will be watching how to test the resistance of the solenoid for solenoid valve body for 09 nissan versa .this will help us understand the reason why our cvt transmission fail so before we dig in deeper inside the transmission we might try to test our solenoid

    You can find that PDF he is referencing on wittrans. He says the wrong ones. The A and B on the transmission diagram are not left to right. “A” (as in, the one all the way to the left in the video) is the TCC solenoid which goes from 6 to 19 ohms so 12-13 on the multimeter is in spec. It is good. The line pressure control A solenoid is the one to the very right.

    Be sure to also do a pressure test. Besides checking if resistance is in spec , you can also apply 12v to see and hear them actuate. All mine read and opened/closed just fine; I further tested with a little air pressure, found the bad one that way.
    Also, note that the spec sheet he's showing is for tranny RE0F08B; specs are different for RE0F10A, which can be found in the same vehicles and years.

    Hello you showed the first as A which is the Torque converter "select" solenoid (I noticed because the top has a lip) 6-19ohms. It stated 12.5 isn't that good then?
    The rest are 3-9ohms. I tested the TCC select on mine and read 32ohms which is faulty, thanks

    • @webrbio3153
      @webrbio3153 6 месяцев назад

      Yes!!!! The solenoid he labeled as "A" is the TCC Select Solenoid which is supposed to read 6-19 Ohms is 12.6 Ohms is right on the money! All of these solenoids read proper resistance! No issues here.

  • @michaelescobar2194
    @michaelescobar2194 3 года назад +2

    The 12 homms resistance is not the solenoide A, that's the selector solenoide and that's the correct reading ,the other 3 solenoides are 6 homms,

Now I've got P1778 (stepper motor), P07046 (solenoid A) and P0868 (low pressure) I'm going to check resistance as you are showing in the video. Do you know if these solenoids can be purchased separately? I see the solenoid pack on rockauto but it's $400. Thanks!

      @@asianmechanicguy6483 thanks, got the valve body out and measured 15 ohms on solenoid A. Guess $400 is better than a new trans. Question is, is it worth it. Someone put ATF in this thing so it may be shot. Seems to drive OK though when it's not acting up. It creeps in drive/reverse once it gets warm. Maybe it's just solenoid A is shot. Thanks for posting the pic of which valve body bolts to remove, that was super helpful.
