Bro imma be real i have my end of yr exams happening literally tomorrow and found your vid, it's so helpful I learnt so much more than my science teacher could ever teach and plus your way of teaching the topics in the specs for Paper 2, is so easy to remember and follow so thanks bro hopefully I do good in all the science papers I have !
I have my paper 2 mocks tomorrow. Really have to thank you for putting this up it really helped me understand topics i was unsure about. Appreciate it!
Started year 11 two moths ago and it's scary to say I barely understood Biology Paper 2 topics as a triple award student. But finally after this video and a 2 hour session of sitting down and making detailed notes I've finally got it! Thank you so much for making my science teacher look useless lol! Hopefully I do well in my mock next week and base line test tomorrow! 100% Subscribing!
"I began year 11 two months ago and found Biology Paper 2 topics challenging, despite being a triple award student. However, thanks to this video and a two-hour note-taking session, I now have a better understanding. I appreciate the help, and it even makes my science teacher seem ineffective. I plan to do well on my upcoming mock and baseline tests, and I will definitely subscribe to this resource."
sections needed for 2022 under the "For this paper, the following list shows the major focus of the content of the exam" part of the advance information: 05:01 Endocrine system: glands & hormones 05:33 Pancreas, insulin & diabetes 07:16 Thermoregulation: sweating, vasodilation 08:28 Kidneys & water control 09:44 Plant hormones, auxin, phototropism 11:02 Sexual & asexual reproduction, meiosis 11:58 DNA & protein synthesis - genes, chromosomes, triplets 13:01 Variation, dominant & recessive genes, Punnett square 17:22 Ecology definitions: ecosystem, habitat, community 17:41 Predator-prey cycle/relationship 17:54 Sampling: quadrat & transect 18:27 Carbon & water cycles
Really helpful vid! One nitpick though is that at 17:45, you start talking about prey going down = predator going down. But when you say vice versa it could be confused for predator going down = prey going down
Hey your videos are super helpful, I think you've missed a topic! Restoring biodiversity, restoring field margins etc. and the important ecosystems like coral reefs. very brief but im pretty sure its important
8:08 the blood vessels don't move, the blood vessels supplying the capillaries widen, increasing the blood flow to the capillaries closer to surface of the skin
Not trying to be a pain or anything but if possible, in the future could you specify the triple science subjects like how you did for your chemistry paper 2 video.
You can pretty much guarantee every exam question you get will be on stuff you either didn't learn or didn't study for. I think I winged my way through my GCSEs 30 odd years ago. Probably explains why my grades are average or worse(if you can call C grade average that is).
what about those 6 markers about how a species seperates and becomes different entirely? I learnt it in school but would really appreciate it if you taught it as your style is better for me
got my mock tomorrow. in y9 and 10 i averaged like 30% in biology, now i average 75% (that’s a 9!!) thanks for this, i watch these videos a frankly concerning amount update: mock results are in, I GOT AN 8 IN BIOLOGY!! 3 marks off a 9
I spotted a mistake at 3:59 u stated the size of the pupil is determined by the ciliary muscles, the ciliary muscles are involved in the accommodation of the lens, it is actually the circulatory muscles and the radial muscles that determine the size of the iris ( the contraction of the radial muscles makes the pupil bigger and the contraction of the circulatory muscles makes the pupil smaller )
Thanks for making this, I made notes on most the things you talked about and managed to get a 6 in my biology mock which is great for me as I’m not great at science 😅
Hi, at 3:55 it talks about the ciliary muscles controlling the size of the iris but that's incorrect, the ciliary muscles only contract/relax to help focusing with the lens.
