Oh! I drubrush the VMA metallic paints all the time, but I never realized you kinda need to use a different technique with them until you mentioned it... And I do have a near complete collection so I can drybrush multiple similar shades on top of another. When drybrushing, the VMA are more like glazes. You need stiff bristles and a lot of layers, brushed over a matte base color or VMA.

"Much needed snake skeleton" is the best phrase I've heard all day. Also, I got one of the many versions of that air compressor for $60 (USD) on eBay a couple of years ago. The listings for them will come and go from various "brands" but it's worked perfectly since I got it.

I really like modular paint handle systems like this, the benefit of being able to just slot minis on and off the handle as you go really makes batch painting a breeze. I make my own out of D781151 containers flipped over with the cap anchored to an appropriate handle. These are specialty containers that may not be common everywhere (pretty common in 18 US states and Canada) but are really handy for a lot of things in the hobby if you or anyone you know happens to go through them.

I also love the Gorilla Glue Gel myself--to avoid clogging, I've found keeping it in the fridge actually helps prevent it. The only downside to doing this is you have to let it warm up a bit before use (about 10 minutes) which I speed up by just holding it in my hand for a bit. But so far, I've gone a year doing this and haven't had a single bottle clog up on me!

Contrast: I don't use them but I think someone who does should make a video where she tests whether inks + Liquitex (or other brands) pouring medium provides the same results. I like how Dana says Vallejo properly! 😉
Everyone raves about contrast paints.. is it just me?! To me they are just washes and require multiple coats for a proper layer, which defeats the stated purpose. My other bugbear is that the descriptions in no way indicate the actual colour... Which is fine if you buy them all and experiment but rubbish for beginner painters with a limited budget!!
Has anyone else tried the army painter speed paints? A few channels recommend them but it's hard to know if they are incentivised or have 1 million paints and will go off them... ?!?

Do you find the Stynlrez primer obnoxiously hard to clean out of the airbrush cup? Even when using airbrush cleaner I have to sit there and scrub the inside of the cup for a long while before it starts to budge. I also find that it clogs the airbrush really easily(I use Badger Patriot 105 with .3mm needle), and that's with doing the short burst spray method, too.

To be fair: you can make something similar to the vallejo basing paste with sand and glue and paint but it's not the same and doesn't behave the same way. I think there's also marble dust so the medium between the grains doesn't shrink as much as pva and sand. Am I going to make a comment for each item: probably. Did I make one for the snake skeleton: It wasn't required. Snake skeleton doesn't need more selling. Am I going to keep posing questions and then answering them like Triboar from Final Space: Probably, but I'm done for now.

It produces neat results but it's more time consuming. I did this over some fairly flat metallic surfaces that had been undercoated with Vallejo Game Color tinny tin (the same as the old Citadel tin bitz color). The resulting color was just beautiful.

If you are having problems with super glue drying in the bottle start storing the bottle in the fridge. The temperature is too cold for the glue to cure. The only problem is when you do go to use it the glue will take longer to dry (because it is starting colder).
