I have a little suggestion - please be in limelight and use different media mediums otherwise they will try their every bit to suppress your videos or voice so try to be versatile and focus more on zenG.. Hari Om and happy vijaydashmi, i hope this evil of bad campaigning be destroyed sooner🙏
His revolution is a waste… people will still eat junk food no matter what. When people are eating food from stalls which are located near to dirt like Naala’s which doesn’t require reading any label then how do you expect them to join your revolution.
Don’t eat anything that comes packaged or ultra-processed. Simple! Exercise daily. No fried food, or sugary products. I look a decade younger. Some think I’m in high school 😅. I’m 40.
For 2+ years, I never drank any packaged juice or Cold Drink + wafers + chocolates + biscuits and I made that as one of the principle of my life, no compromise.
Same.. I have stopped drinking colas and packaged fruit juices for years now.. And also I have never ever even tried those so called energy drinks But people are just crazy about it.. Don't know why
I haven’t had a cola or lays chips in almost 12 years. I am still guilty of eating good day biscuits. Once in a while though. I want to break that as well.
Thank you team ANI and Smita Prakash mam for inviting Revanth. His insights are really worth considering and that fact that he is making us aware about the evils in the FMCG industry is inspiring. Keep up the great work Revanth, we all support you!
Thanks to ANI for giving Revant a broader audience by which the at least the educated can become more health aware. We are surrounded by corporate greed fraud misrepresentation and cleverly packaged lies. He has chosen to be different and I wish him success.
Full support to Food Pharmer and his initiative!!🤝He has transformed many individuals, including myself, the way we consume food. This should be taught in schools!
Absolutely fantastic podcast. As only 15% can understand & read English I suggest this podcast be dubbed into as many Indian languages and uploaded. This will ensure far-reaching positive consequences
Good one. With economic growth, we need to be extremely conscious consumers. We have legislation in this regard, that is, the Consumer Protection Act . There are consumer courts. However miles to go. We need huge consumer awareness .
In India it mostly depends on individuals to be aware & conscious of what they use & consume. Even if rules, regulations & laws exist as of these are archaic, have plenty gaps that allow for manufacturers to get away with wrong doings & if not that then there are corrupt officials n politicians that make wrong things possible . If Maggi had lead & there was public noise, suddenly all investigations disappeared and Maggi was back to business . A long time back there was a report & big news on Haldiram's manufacturing units effluent was coloring the soil yellow. That news died fast & seems even the internet was sanitized to remove the news. Coke had similar issues at its plant in India with people complaining of soil containation
@@aosaeanor Yes. Admitted. But unfortunately the gaps in such legislations are yet to be discussed and debated widely in the public forum. I hope with this kind of podcast such awareness is beginning to grow among the urban consumers.
When I was young we had a PG from the US stay with us over summer. She laughed when she saw us having cornflakes at breakfast. I still remember her words - She said that if you see how much sugar goes into creating this, you will never eat it. It is healthier to eat ice-cream at breakfast rather than cornflakes. When my brother first went to the US, I saw this product called ‘I can’t believe it’s not butter’. I liked the name so out of curiosity I looked at the label to see what it is made of…. I almost dropped laughing when I saw it is the cheapest margarine or the baddest quality of dalda- the highest cholesterol inducing products. I laughed because my brother was earning more but eating worse food and the marketing was convincing him that this is the best! When my father had a heart surgery in the US, one of the first things we were taught was how to read food labels and the need to understand what they are pretending to say and what they are cleverly hiding. Sugar, sodium and salt levels, oils used … there are no guides for consumers to be able to clearly understand and comprehend what the product actually contains. And worse, the advertising creates misconceptions. These were my personal experiences that made me be vary of ads and careful about products. I still eat that biscuit and sometimes a coke. But, as Revant puts it, I know it’s an unhealthy choice so I am careful about how much I consume. Smita is right that ice cream awareness is low. As is that of most packaged products. Your ideas of making Home Science and Health and Nutrition compulsory is such a good one. Everyone should write to the Education Ministry about this. @Foodparma
As a society we are trying to educate everyone about everything. The easiest way is put a pressure on governments to formulate the laws which can force the food and drink manufacturers to be honest on the labels and use simple words which are easily legible....🙏
Excellent Revant. Way to go - God will bless you. I am a senior in Canada and, in my own little way, I am trying to do the same; making my family and friends aware of health and the foods to avoid. I developed two videos on (a) why we get chronic diseases and (b) what can we do about it. Some people mock me, some are grateful.
Thanks to revanth, now I am consciously reading labels and forcing myself to put back the packet back on shelf. But still I find difficult to find stuff which does not contain palm oil. Even local namkeen shops use palm oil.
Even the peanut butter is loaded with sugar except few brands. I am lean at 33 and lost considerable amount of body fat when I completely stopped eating junk and processed foods.
Honestly, it's so embarrassing that one person is doing the job of FSSAI. This guy singlehandedly has achieved more than FSSAI could ever imagine. Ofc there is a long way to go, but I am such a big fan of him already! An actual change maker.
Oh my God! Thats so thoughtful and right way of dealing with things. Hard path chosen. I believe, Rhyming of brands or blurring logos are good ideas if anyone can make a movie on this very impactful topic.

Great work done Revant. People generally make faces when asked to read labels - taking the argument to the other extreme like "you want us to be in grocery store forever?" or like it was said in podcast "hawa khaayein phir?" Such a negative attitude even from the well to do people. And if nothing, they'll blame it on grocery stores or kirana wala to keep that product.
Revant... you are living up to your name. Needless to say you have chosen to take a very tough stance in the world's most crooked theater of action namely fmcg marketing/sales. More Himmat to you.
Thanks for such a insighful podcast. This kind of revolution is very much needed for healthy India. He should be made brand ambassador of FSSAi . @Foodpharmer no worry we all will join your fight eventually..
