Sony MXD-D400 MD belt replacement

Trying out a GoPro Hero 10. I'm not super impressed. I don't know what it was focusing on, but it wasn't really the subject. Honestly I think the Xperia cell phone I found in the e-waste pile does a better job than the GoPro. Maybe I just need moar practice. Or to strap it to a helmet. I dunno.
Anyway, Techmoan already did a pretty good video about replacing the belts on these particular mechs, but this is mine. Plus I have a super interesting story to go along with it, so there's that. Enjoy.

Welcome. Please help! I bought a Sony MXD D4. Unfortunately, the minidisc is faulty. It was suggested in a Sony Facebook group that the Sony MDS-JE440 or Je470 minidisc mechanics are exactly the same as the D4. Are any of these really good? Or what would you suggest? Unfortunately, the Sony service here in Budapest no longer repairs such devices. Thank you for your help.
