Great stuff, Martin is a treasure and a good modern example of courage and faith. Really cool to hear more of his story. My take on the question of how to foster courage is answered in 1 John 4:18; “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear” I thought about this a lot, and this verse becomes particularly real for me when I imagine one of my kids in danger. If they fell of the edge of a cruise ship, you might think me diving after them is courage, but there is no courage in my action. Just love. I think people are so wound up in their own lives and pursuing their own self serving desires, that the result of this is an empty life of misery and fear. If people made it their goal in life to just serve God and help others, they would be full of love and would appear to be full of courage, too.
