You could probably deloft the GAPR LO by a degree which would match the spin rates and flight height of P790 but you would end up with 7-10 yards extra carry compared to the P790 - that would be a fair comparison. The reality is GAPR Lo is a higher flying, higher spinning club than P790, depending on the courses you play and what you need the club for, that is either a good thing or a not so good thing. IMO the GAPR is the better club but not massively better so it comes down to price
Stupid question but when or why would you use a 2 iron? If you were hitting from the tee would you not just be better using a driver? Thinking about getting the gapr lo as I have a gap in my bag but not sure when I would use it.. I tend to use driver off the tee mostly and hit around 250 yards and then use a fairway wood if I'm still a distance away.. are these irons used mostly from the fairway? Or are they used by people who would prefer hitting an iron off a tee rather than a driver?
Good question, people use 2-3 irons off the tee on holes with lots of OB or very narrow. They do it because a shot to the left or right will be far less penalizing. And the iron gives them almost a automatic fairway hit.
I'm only 18 handicapper but still find I can manipulate V6 to hit low stingers or high bombs. It has quite a 'deep' face compared. My swing speed is a little quicker than Mr Taylor and flightscope gave me a carry of 235 yds average. (4 Iron 210 yds for comparison) Freely admit I'm biased but also love the buttery feel of the V6's. Just feel that it is worth contemplating extending one's own set as opposed to paying for the idea of a 'driving iron'.

How do the two shafts compare ?
By popular request!! 👍
Right guys, hi guys all aboard the coach trip Brendan 💋
GAPR £230'ish. UDI £160'ish. My Wilson V6 3 iron tweaked to 2 iron £99.00 and at least equals performance (for me performed better than either)
Ian Simpson wow! Surprising info!! Is that just into the wind or in general?

Speedfoam = 3 yards carry

Think they both have speed foam ?
David Maxfield
Yup, they both have SpeedFoam
ill keep my UDI Speedblade 17 degree for 290 total distance off the tee
