    I rotate between eggs, oatmeal, protein shake, protein pancakes. Usually do oatmeal (with chia/flax, almond milk, almond butter, topped with berries followed by 2 hard boiled eggs) when I have a tough workout planned for the day - for the extra carbs! Not a fan of mixing protein powder in my oatmeal. Maybe just need to find the right protein powder though! :) Interested in trying the cottage cheese. Thanks for the idea Michelle!

    Diabetic. I follow the glucose goddess. I start with the salad. All sorts of good things on it. Have my coffee. I have to take pain medicine because I’m old and beat up. And then I have my protein and carbs. And take the wild eat breakfast, but boy is it yummy . I save the sweets for later.

    Your video reinforces that I am on the right track.✅ I make all of these breakfast ideas, in some form or another... except the protein smoothies as I find "drinking" my meals not very satiating. My all time favourite go-to breakfast is overnight oats with yogurt, protein powder, chia seeds, collagen, a sprinkle of nuts, and blueberries. I often have eggs, meat, veggies and avocado for dinner. Thank you Michelle!💕

    I notice the more foods that i add to a meal that are sugary/high carb it changes my insulin. I'm not diabetic, but to learn what foods my insulin respond to i have to check my insulin. I did it in the beginning so now when i eat a high carb food now body sometimes tells me by how i feel, i then check my insulin and i was right, it was elevated, so i exercise to bring it down. It should go down within to 2 hours. If your insulin is high you want to reduce the carbs. Just fyi🤗

      Hello!! I'm not a doc, but from what I know carbs are lower on the glycemic index and actually help to lower blood sugar (of course with portion control of the oats). I would maybe chat with your doctor about whether oats would be a good choice for you for breakfast :). Thanks for watching!

  • @drtruth5291
    @drtruth5291 2 года назад +2

    I do overnight oats w my scoop of protein and a fairlife protein shake both 30g of protein so at least 60g of protein in that. Not to mention the Greek yogurt and almond milk. And I do 1 cup of oat. Too much?

    • @MichelleRoots
      @MichelleRoots  2 года назад +3

      That seems like a lot of protein for one meal....but in the end it depends on the rest of your day and how you feel after eating that. My advice would be either the protein powder or the fairlife shake not both, then save the other for a snack mid morning or afternoon?

      Ur body can only
      Process around 30 grams
      Of protein at one time (per
      Meal) so ur basically wasting protein because it will get rid of the excess protein and will
      Not be used in the way u want it to .. you will just pee the rest out pretty much lol..

    Hello, why would you recommend high protein breakfast when the best and more effective way is high carb low fat breakfast ?
    High protein adds more weight rather than making someone skinnier.

    • @MichelleRoots
      @MichelleRoots  2 года назад +22

      Hello, I don’t believe that there is a “best” breakfast for anyone. All individuals are different with different body composition and different goals, nutrition needs. The average person I coach is looking to decrease body fat not just looking to get “skinny”. Protein is known to help improve energy, keep you feeling full, and fuel your body/build muscle in order to decrease body fat and get stronger. To each their own - if you prefer high carb low fat breakfast go for it. I made this video for people who want to eat high protein at breakfast to give them a resource. In the end it’s to each their own.
