I rotate between eggs, oatmeal, protein shake, protein pancakes. Usually do oatmeal (with chia/flax, almond milk, almond butter, topped with berries followed by 2 hard boiled eggs) when I have a tough workout planned for the day - for the extra carbs! Not a fan of mixing protein powder in my oatmeal. Maybe just need to find the right protein powder though! :) Interested in trying the cottage cheese. Thanks for the idea Michelle!
Diabetic. I follow the glucose goddess. I start with the salad. All sorts of good things on it. Have my coffee. I have to take pain medicine because I’m old and beat up. And then I have my protein and carbs. And take the wild eat breakfast, but boy is it yummy . I save the sweets for later.
Your video reinforces that I am on the right track.✅ I make all of these breakfast ideas, in some form or another... except the protein smoothies as I find "drinking" my meals not very satiating. My all time favourite go-to breakfast is overnight oats with yogurt, protein powder, chia seeds, collagen, a sprinkle of nuts, and blueberries. I often have eggs, meat, veggies and avocado for dinner. Thank you Michelle!💕
Very very helpful! I’m inspired to not only try these, but try some variations as well! Thank you for sharing your recipes. Your enthusiasm for protein nutrition is highly motivating!’
I notice the more foods that i add to a meal that are sugary/high carb it changes my insulin. I'm not diabetic, but to learn what foods my insulin respond to i have to check my insulin. I did it in the beginning so now when i eat a high carb food now body sometimes tells me by how i feel, i then check my insulin and i was right, it was elevated, so i exercise to bring it down. It should go down within to 2 hours. If your insulin is high you want to reduce the carbs. Just fyi🤗
Great ideas. I've only really just started my body recomposition journey and busy exploring meals and snacks. Ordered the pancake mix to give them a try and trying the overnight oatmeal idea tomorrow morning.
I’ve been doing bento. For breakfast I have apple slices and make a dip with plain Greek yogurt, pb, honey and cinnamon. Some grapes and an egg. I got protein pancakes from Aldi. The protein farts were awful lol.
The male bodybuilding community thanks you for these meal ideas that actually taste great and have good presentation! 🙏🏻 We're tired of eating super plain high protein embarrasing food mixes that looks like dog food (and don't taste much better either 😂)
rediscovered hemp hearts that have been hanging out in my fridge for too long....10 grams of protein for 3 tbsp! Needless to say I'm sprinkling them on my greek yogurt/low sugar granola with berries like crazy :) Started taking creatine to help with more lean muscle but I dont know if I can stand the bloat and may have to ditch it :( Do you have successful experience with creatine?
Hey Tina! The protein company I was using just shut down so I don't have any recommendations as of yet, but when i find a new one I like I'm sure I will be sharing it on here lol!
Hi!! Glad you are enjoying my videos! I would say if you are looking to keep your fat consumption low to buy low fat or fat free. Check out my video on high protein low fat options and I explain it a bit more 👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you for all your knowledge. Could you do a video on how to put recipes in my fitness pal? I can't figure it out and that would really help. Thank you so much.
My coach told me that Cronometer is more accurate because the food info comes from scientific study and not user input. IDK how much difference it makes, but it makes me feel better.
Hello!! I'm not a doc, but from what I know carbs are lower on the glycemic index and actually help to lower blood sugar (of course with portion control of the oats). I would maybe chat with your doctor about whether oats would be a good choice for you for breakfast :). Thanks for watching!
Hi Isaac, check out my video talking about calorie deficit here: ruclips.net/video/cf0OaA2xXog/видео.html but a great way to start for you might just be to start adding in more movement to your day, even bodyweight strength training and try to really focus on healthy habits (sleep, water, fruits/veggies etc.) check out this video as well: ruclips.net/video/7WcC6-RyvRA/видео.html
I do overnight oats w my scoop of protein and a fairlife protein shake both 30g of protein so at least 60g of protein in that. Not to mention the Greek yogurt and almond milk. And I do 1 cup of oat. Too much?
That seems like a lot of protein for one meal....but in the end it depends on the rest of your day and how you feel after eating that. My advice would be either the protein powder or the fairlife shake not both, then save the other for a snack mid morning or afternoon?
Ur body can only Process around 30 grams Of protein at one time (per Meal) so ur basically wasting protein because it will get rid of the excess protein and will Not be used in the way u want it to .. you will just pee the rest out pretty much lol..
Michelle I love your hair in this video... so pretty 👌💯❤I also love your passion about fitness. I'm taking in everything you're saying but I can't push the go button its so silly but I'm scared 😔
Thank you so much!! The hardest part is getting started, just remember - baby steps and progress not perfection! You don't have to be perfect everyday, but set little realistic goals each week and build on that. Ie. try to add more protein to breakfast or one meal a day and build on that. Drink more water etc...
@@MichelleRoots I always wondered if I always had to eat dinner for dinner since sometimes I crave breakfast for dinner hehe. But now you cleared my doubts. Your content is so informational 🙏❤️

I am having a hard time hitting my proteins goal though am just starting on this journey. Based on my calculation am suppose to be on 234 g of protein in a day and I can't seem to hit half of that in a day which leads me to ask if my calculation is right being so high???
ALOT of us cant have whey protein. Florish has 31 carbs(thats alot) and only 11g protein. Many athletes cant have whey protein or cottage cheese, or greek yogurt. a video on high protein plant based please.
You can add protein sources to oats (which also have protein) to make a well rounded high protein breakfast which also includes a healthy carb source too :)
Don’t like oats, don’t like Greek yogurt, don’t like protein powder, don’t like chia/flax seeds Your palate is used to eating extremely healthy foods and don’t mind textures and after tastes 😞
I don't find these to extremely healthy foods as they are normal foods you find in the grocery store, but you don't have to eat what I eat :). There are lot's of high protein foods available. You can find the foods that work best for you and start slow and slowly get your body used to healthier foods.
Hello, why would you recommend high protein breakfast when the best and more effective way is high carb low fat breakfast ? High protein adds more weight rather than making someone skinnier.
Hello, I don’t believe that there is a “best” breakfast for anyone. All individuals are different with different body composition and different goals, nutrition needs. The average person I coach is looking to decrease body fat not just looking to get “skinny”. Protein is known to help improve energy, keep you feeling full, and fuel your body/build muscle in order to decrease body fat and get stronger. To each their own - if you prefer high carb low fat breakfast go for it. I made this video for people who want to eat high protein at breakfast to give them a resource. In the end it’s to each their own.

Love from India! I started my body recomposition journey this week. Hope i achieve my goal. Thank you for your hardwork.
Love making eggs bites with chopped spinach and cheese…sometimes ground turkey and cheese. So good.
Cup of Greek yogurt and half a cup of cottage cheese, mixed berries, pepitas, and flax seed meal. My go to breakfast.
Sounds delish!
Awesome ideas and I love that you give options without protein powders because I don't want to use them..❤️
You're so welcome!
Low fat cottage cheese and blue berries.. down 40 pound thanks to videos like this .. and exercise and no sugar..

I’m diabetic and oats raises my sugar levels not good for diabetic.
I wish this was helpful 😢I can’t eat dairy
I have a few other high protein foods videos on channel that might be helpful?
The protein waffles have a net carb amount of about 17 grams.
I don’t know if this is a good option for a pre diabetic.🤔
This is general advice. I believe is if someone has a medical condition they should be getting advice from their doctor not the internet 👌🏼
THANK YOU

What can I do if I hate Greek yogurt and cottage cheese?
LOL my best advice don't eat it then :) You can find other ways to get your protein in if you don't like those foods.
Get a hypnotist to hypnotise you into thinking you like it.
