      @Petsinwinter2 2 месяца назад +30

      @@felixdaniels37 just so we're clear, Infernoid's critical card is a lv1 fire, it was looking at Snake-Eye as a supplemental engine since AGOV. And because they're also a fiend fusion deck, they love Fiendsmith's Sequence more than anyone other than the Fiendsmiths themselves

    • @hafizyb
      @hafizyb 2 месяца назад +8

      @@Petsinwinter2sure, the road or intention may be different, but at the end of it, it's still just another SEFS variant with just slightly more focus on infernoid.

      Tbf, Tear (with all Ishizu retrains banned) is peak fun due to the fact that skill and power ceiling go hand in hand. You want to have that sweet power? You gotta start being skillful then in using whatever resources (like cards being milled). Instead of SEFS Generics meta we have. Fucking boring as hell.

    • @gravemind76
      @gravemind76 2 месяца назад +1

      @hafizyb the biggest bs take I heard all morning. The deck is super brain dead and plays itself. Only the mirror is skillful because you can just go nuts and shotgun everything.

    • @hafizyb
      @hafizyb 2 месяца назад +1

      @@gravemind76 and you're implying that SEFS is not braindead? BRO, literally any deck that can make use of those will literally have 80% similarities in their endboard just because those things are ridiculously resistant to handtraps to begin with. You can misplayed like 3 times and you will still get about the same endboard, even when faced with limited handtraps.
      The current meta is literally braindead generics endboard and your gonna say that is better than fucking Tear with no Ishizu retrains?

    • @gravemind76
      @gravemind76 2 месяца назад +2

      @hafizyb whoa whoa buddy I didn't defend that deck either don't just make assumptions. That same statement with the missplay can be applied to tear in its strongest versions also. What does the current meta being brainless have to do with what I said and tear made a slightly similar generic end boards.
      We we are talking about crippled tear(current state), then yeah, sure, it's skillful.

    I’m not really sold on Grass in Tearlaments. With all the names limited, the deck gets incredibly watered down when you bump your list up to 60 cards. this will make your hands FAR worse in the games where you don’t draw grass.
    The third deck in this video realistically should have been Lightsworn, but MBT just likes Tear. I can’t blame the guy for talking about one of his favorite decks.

    Same with all the generic end board boss monsters. The deck’s endboard power is concentrated in the ability to recycle decatron up to 5 times during your opponent’s turn to pump out nigh infinite negates. Not some garbage Zelantis + IP setup.

    Just my thoughts but 60 cards in a deck like tear doesn't seem right. Sure grass mill 20 card wins you the game but depending on a 1 of in a 60 card deck with few starters if asking to lose because of bricks. Tear is more than happy to run a list with 48 cards (dont read too much into that number, something else could be better) and a 1 of spell that now essentailly reads "mill 8" all without sacrificing too much consistency.
