Best part about AJ and the moto Academy is just how dam honest the man is. Speaks like he’s one of us even sounds scared at times too which we definitely all feel at new tracks or hitting new bigger jumps for the first time “but he’s still shredding it the whole time regardless “ lol the fastest humble guy out there and a great teacher 💪
yep. most guys who are fast don't really give a rip about helping the next guy go fast. AJ's non-prick attitude is refreshing.

Which one? The uphill triple? I do all of the Mains jumps and they look nowhere near this size imo

What I gathered watching this video is you ride a gear higher. Keeping your RPM’s lower. Even when you’re on the hammer, you’re not redlining the bike.

Yo AJ. arguably the best mod for a stock Honda is going to the flexi aftermarket motor mounts. less twitchy and easier to tune the suspension.
I wanna see AJ back in SX or pro motocross, I also wish he would come to the local NC tracks closer than silver valley!
Really good patience and heads up riding while behind that guy. Was a little sketchy where he was going to go or not. Finally an epic lookback at him over the monster triple lol.
Aj wasn’t even behind him long enough to get startled by something like that 🤣 nothing sketch about an open track my guy, just knowing situational awareness is common sense on a track
@@ashtonwakkinen9874 I don't recall suggesting that AJ was startled. I just thought AJ exhibited maturity is all. Yes it can get sketchy when you're behind an unfamiliar rider (assuming he was unfamiliar) who's using inside/outside lines. It's easy to press the issue and get moved over on. If it turns out you were the other rider, I wasn't saying YOU were sketchy, just the "situation" potentially lol.

The other guy is clearly a good rider, but that's irrelevant because it can happen easily enough with a couple of good riders. My original comment was simply commending AJ on his situational awareness and patience (which I would expect from a pro).

508 International is a great all around track. They've done amazing work in the last few years tweaking it

What did you think about the stock suspension on that bike?
I think 450s aren’t right for most people, especially while racing. I enjoy riding 450s on outdoors but 250s in Supercross!
The suspension on my bike isn’t stock, but it’s 100x better. The stock stuff is very rigid feeling on the hondas. Mine feels like a couch 😁

I'm one of those people that has no business on a 450......but I have two. I have no business being on my 250 2 stroke either but I have one of those too.
I want to ride a 250 4 stroke just to see how it feels. One of my 450s is a 04 crf so I've been riding it for 19 years now. My 22' 450 doesn't feel that much more powerful than my 04 but the stock suspension is plush.

That triple is on a practice track? Geeze.
Possibly the biggest jump I’ve ever seen on a public track. But it’s so big that no one really attempts doing it, so it’s safe 😁
I haven't seen it as an official rule on the website but here's quote from the description of a video of the second person to ever clear it.
"Must check in with the track staff if you wish to hit this jump so as to get it on video and notify next of kin for safety-- please, please, DO NOT ATTEMPT without prior notification."

450 just seems like to much for a dirt bike for most people imo
For a 6 rides a year guy probably. For someone who rides twice a week they last way longer.
