Wow, I've been a South Coast NSW fan for ages but it's definitely the most overall spectacular part of our coastline. Still maybe it's best it's best it stays under-rated.
Great selections. Murray's is a standout as beautiful beaches go. North facing (same as the iconic beaches at Byron and Noosa much further north), so -protected from prevailing southerlies, easterlies and onshore sea breezes. Bowen Island gives shelter from ocean swells too (the island is also a fine scuba dive site). There is a great walking track over the headland and along the top of eastern coastline, for as far as you want to go, or just a 5km inland loop back to the carpark. Visitors may be surprised by the extensive cleared area associated with the carpark. This was slated for a nuclear reactor development back in the 70s ! Beyond belief now. Mercifully the politics of the day prevailed against it.
All very true. I was amazed when I first heard about the Nuclear plant plans for Murrays - couldn't imagine anywhere worse to put it. But it does mean there's a good road in and out and that large car park, so at least some good came of the madness. :)
LOVE your videos, they’re so well made and a perfect resource for a Sydney couple always looking for great beaches to get away to!! Thank you! Also wondering where the music in your videos is from?
@@barefootgeek Could you list the music in your videos please as my music identification app does NOT always get it right and I can't find out some of the tunes...🙏
Just discovered your videos. Excellent presentation and superb commentary
Cheers Amy - appreciate it :)

These spots stay peaceful and quite because they are not advertised.. people who explore reap the rewards..
Wise words.
Watch out at Red Pt. Some locals there are less than friendly. Don't leave anything unattended.
Have you checked Bengello Beach ?
I’m going to ask my parents to go there
Love and miss those beaches thanks for video barefoot greek
