Disney does not own the first two movies. The new world movies were sold separately from the rest of there assets when the company was brought by fox back in the 90s. But whlie they do not now own them this hellraiser movie along with inferno, deader and hellworld were made by Disney and released them on dvd and video until miramax/dimension was sold by Disney along with the films they made
It would be cool if new Hellraiser Pinhead is actually supposed to be Kirsty since in Judgment Day we see Pinhead become human again and that's why Kirsty becomes Pinhead in the comics
What I found amusing about it was that bumber was probably on the original vhs and dvd release of that movie since at the time this movie was made miramax/dimension was a division of Disney at the time and all there divisions at that moment used that same thing during the previes sections on the vhs and Dvds back then
Hell Yeah. "Kirsty has been through much worse...like reviewers calling her Kristy." 😂 Thank you very much, Sir. Your channel makes the world a better place.
It was a theme through a couple of these used to interesting effect in my opinoin. When this and the previous one came out I thought it was a good idea if you have to rework the hellraiser series and do something new with it. It made for interesting twists and excuses to make weird movies which I'm always on board with.
@@cornbredx I see where you're coming from, but not sure I agree with you. It kind of changes the whole premise of the Cenobites into a form of Karma, and that's not what they were. I mean, watching this, it's like an episode of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits, a little morality play, but with Pinhead shoehorned in. It kind of works... but is still so off.
It feels that way because most of the hellraiser movies made after bloodlines where scripts that Miramax/dimension had brought that had nothing to do with hellraiser and they were rewritten just to put some hellraiser elements in them

Hellraiser/Pinhead reminds of Mr. X from Resident Evil 2, & that eel coming out of Trevor's mouth reminds of a plaga coming out someone's mouth on a Resident Evil Conflict.
Mentioning not knowing what the protagonist's job is reminds me of the "Mad Magazine" parody of the "Good Times" TV show. The mom is asking the dad what he does. He asks if she remembers the old Ozzie and Harriet show where that white man would go off to work and come home and one never knew what he did -- he got Ozzie's job.

I don't see the point in turning Pinhead into the actual Devil, instead of just a sinister supernatural character reminiscent of the Devil (and God, Death, etc.). The Jacob's Ladder impression doesn't help either, that movie wasn't exactly the most original thing but it did a lot to separate itself from its sources. It definitely adds to the cheapness factor.
Doesn't make a lick of sense either because we've already seen pinhead as a human and the surgeon kicked his ass in the second film. Pinhead is more like head caretaker.
Snob, I've been watching you for years and enjoying your videos. Even if I do not understand all the jokes, but still. Episodes with Lloyd are extremely funny. The series that he looks is completely insane! Greetings from Russia
Completely underrated. I like this one best of all of the post-Hellbound sequels, despite a sketchy CG sequence. The "protag" in Hellseeker is a much more likeable character than the cop in Inferno. Also, the twists and turns are handled better.
