Good information. Food for thought to make your milling life easier; the Woodland Mills log rests/ back stops are very poorly thought out. As you know, they can bite into, and stop, a log you're trying to rotate. Others have mounted ball bearings to the top to reduce the biting. Others have gone an even cheaper route by slipping a length of PVC pipe over the stops when it's time to rotate. Gotta give you credit for milling in the dark. Dave
