    Ospreys are the cheetahs of the bird/raptor world...fast and agile with good strong legs and wings...but they are not well suited to defend themselves against even slightly larger raptors. They just don't have the hardware (just like cheetahs).

    Some bird species seem to be so savage toward others. Since birds are believed to be descendants of dinosaurs, it has me thinking the dinosaurs had to deal with a lot of carnage, kind of like a dinosaur eat dinosaur prehistoric world.

    • @chrisdonish
      @chrisdonish 24 дня назад

      They are not descendants if dinosaurs, they are their own group of dinosaurs and yeah I agree abt the lives of the dinosaurs, it must have been short and brutal for the smaller species.

    He tenido que ver el vídeo varias veces e incluso reproducirlo más lento, porque al mismo tiempo del ataque del águila, otra ave se acerca al nido, parece un charrán o similar, lo que no tengo claro es si viene huyendo del águila, aunque mirando bien, parece que viene un poco por detrás, que extraño. O quizás es simplemente una coincidencia...🤔

    I can't find a chat for this site, I am so sorry for you all who were watching this nest. I am devastated by this also. Nature can be a terrible thing some times.

    • @CootCut
      @CootCut 8 лет назад +6

      Terrible? If all killing stopped many critters would starve to death. Reality is what it is. Moral judgment regarding killing to eat to live is futile even foolish.

    • @Brandy9160
      @Brandy9160 8 лет назад +16

      Wow, I guess I should have been more specific, I was responding to the moment. I am not making a moral judgement, simply saying that nature can be hard to watch, but a necessary part of life. Reality is what it is, that doesn't mean we should cheer when a nest we had been following gets attacked by a forager. Sorry if you think I am foolish, I am who I am. Have a wonderful day, try not to judge everything so sternly, people do have hearts.

      @@Brandy9160 Nature is not difficult to observe if you are objective and mature to recognize how things work, having the correct perspective.
      Nature is difficult to observe only for hypersensitive people who live too much inside their bubbles of "beautiful" things, they are mentally weak to everything.
      Nobody tells you to be happy, but reacting in a dramatic sentimental way to something that is natural and neutral is also ridiculous.
      you judge everything irrationally. There is no common sense here. :/
      You have to judge serious things severely, because then they become incoherent narratives. People do have a heart, another thing is that you base everything on that, ignoring the rational part of the brain. For a reason people today only act in a hyper sentimental, sensitive and delicate way to everything. Lack of common sense. This is called idio /. cracy.

      @@CootCut yes, terrible. You know, like how we will never stop diseases, it always has happened and will happen to people because that’s just part of life and nature, but it’s still terrible.

  • @kylejohnson7645

    Interesting tho, I re-watched it a few times, and I can't see where contact is made one the remaining osprey to not flee/defend the nest. It must be protecting eggs. It played dead, for its children. I wonder what the next 10 minutes would show had the poster not savagely cut the feed.
