Wedge had a Scottish accent because his actor in the movies, Dennis Lawson was scottish, but Lawson hid his accent really well, so the games going Full Scottish for him seems silly.
Yup... I remember in the movie how the Falcon just laser blasted and plowed through the interior! I never knew you could shoot the stuff and so I always ended up going with invincible.
Interesting that you shoot all the pipes and stuff. I never did that back then in '99 and always evaded the obstacles wherever possible. I guess more than one strategy leads to success!
I don’t think it’s even possible to beat this mission without shooting your way through in some cases if you’re using XWAU, since the millennium falcon has an enlarged size.
@@Variable7 Well then, I guess I have to consider installing XWAU on top of my old XWA and see the difference for myself... it's been a while, but I still got a joystick! ;-) ... and of course I have to earn my own Kalidor Crescent once more, complete with Bronze Cluster, Silver Talons, Silver Scimitar, Golden Wings and Diamond Eyes... :D
DIEGhostfish I guess you didn’t play this mission with XWAU mod pack. The extreme difficulty it adds made this mission one of the most thrilling gaming experiences I had in the previous decade.
I fucking hate this mission I keep dying and hitting the pipes why did they put them there they didn't have to shoot them in the movie! and the tunnel going to the superlaser thing is much wider for u than me. pls halp :(
+thegr8rambino Several tips: 1. Remember that your cockpit is to the right, so stick to the right to avoid colliding with objects with the Falcon's main fuselage on your left. 2. The lasers are to the left of your point of view, so aim right of the target to assure a hit. 3. In the pipes roll to keep the body of the ship between the pipes. It took me A LOT of tries too, hang in there, you'll make it.
i played this mission i let Wedge shoot the power regulator before i shoot the reactor i watch Wedge go around the Reactor Core with a high speed, then i shoot the reactor
+VariableCiA Hot Rodimus is lying. It's not possible in X-wing Alliance. He's just phishing for upvotes. XWA is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm currently working on importing the starfighter models from Rogue Squadron II on Gamecube over to XWA.
+★iteachvader★ you want proof try it once you reach the reactor chamber stop your ship and watch wedge, what is the use of Lando's line "Lando: Alright Wedge, Go to the Power Regulator On the North Tower" "Wedge: Copy Gold Leader, I'm Already On My Way Out"

This is definitely not quite as exciting a tunnel run as Rogue Squadron 2(And 3), but the game overall is better

Not a bad movie but not fulfilling the full potential. Bad script writing if you ask me, and the last battle was meh.
