Hey Rob, hope you have been doing better. Do you have an opinion on the sound quality and bass of the Soundboks vs these two speakers? I'm sure the 1000 sounds better, but I was wondering about how the 710 compares.
I have both. The SB3 can only do bass and some highs. The mids are very muffled. I like it anyways due to it's real portability unlike the big JBL boys which can only be rolled indoors, on one floor :) The SB3 sound quality is not there unfortunately.
I bought a refurbished one on Amazon this past weekend so hopefully I will be happy with the overall performance. I’m a sound snob lol so crossing fingers. 😄
Brother, I am wondering which one's bass or sound can be heard better in open air, for example, from a distance of 100 or 200 meters, I would be glad if you can help me.
So I don't understand exactly. Is Pb 1000 stronger outside? You said Pb 1000 is more than enough in the concert hall, so does this mean it is stronger than Pb 710? To tell the truth, Onerin can also give me improved bass.@@Robsreviewsanddemos
in some ways, the lg is great for outdoor parties and it has great features. for indoors the 1000 is great, but for the price I'd still get the lg. Another issue is the lg isn't available anymore.
the 710 will kill it bass, over all sound and loudness wise. Where the Lg exceeds the JBL is with features and the sound profile is the same no matter how loud you have it, I also think the Lg's sound better when playing rock music.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos thank you, I didn’t notice that. However the first track with the police siren doesn’t seem to be listed. Any idea what it’s called? I really appreciate the help!!
Does anybody know what frequency range the 8 inch drivers on the 710 does play? Are they woofers playing like 30-100hz or are the midrange drivers playing higher frequencies also? If they are midrange drivers its not good because they cant play both low bass and highs at the same time and you will only hear bass?
Can anyone who listens mainly to electronic music help me choose? I will be playing techno/psychedelic trance on it only. I need as much clear and deep bass as possible and I need as much battery life as possible. I don't care how vocals will sound, light effects don't matter at all and so doesn't the weight of it. Which one of them has better bass? Or maybe there is a bluetooth speaker from any other brand that can match these JBLs? Please help, thanks.
if you need a battery I recommend the jbl310. If you wanna spend more another option is the soundboks, which also has great bass. These large jbl's don't have batteries.
With batterie, the Partybox 310 is a better choice. If you don't care about having any batterie, you should go with Partybox 1000 or even the 710 if the price difference comparing to PB1000 is too large.
Wish you were doing a review on the new Ultimate. Would really like to see an honest review to see if it's that much better than these two. One says much more bass with the Ultimate, another says the 1000 has more bass. Not sure what to believe. Hope you're doing alright

Hello I have the 310 , love it but i wanted to update, thr differents of the money is not a problem i love the bass music ( techno, psychedelic) You would recommend the 1000 ? I read somewhere that in higher volumes the bass is flat is that true ?
The sound profile on all jbls speakers changes over about 60%, the bass rolls of a tad. The 1000 is a higher end speaker than the 710 but the 710 is a better value. You get more bang fir your buck. But the 1000 definitely goes lower and gets louder. if you plan on using it outdoors the 710 for sure or if you have a smaller room.
I put off buying new speakers until the new version partybox 1000 came out. After seeing a bunch of reviews on the ultimate and the $1600 price each, I looked at the 710s again. Since the new model is out, the older models dropped in price. Amazon has 1 pair of 710s for $1260 shipped to my door. 2 partybox 710s are loud and will vibrate pictures of the wall and make the windows buzz. I love them!!! I've played country, rock, old school r&b, and just a little rap (not a huge fan) but all of these music genres sound great. I did get the JBL app and tweaked the EQ to my tastes. I don't know why JBL requires GPS location to be enabled just to use the app though. 2 speakers like this will always sound better than 1, mine a paired in stereo mode. I highly recommend a pair of 710s especially over 1 partybox 1000.
@@Robsreviewsanddemos Thanks, which one sounds better for watching TV at home? I have PB 310 and it is so bassy when watching TV, it makes the vocals hard to hear
Man I wrote a long reply to you and somehow I lost it. Have you ever considered getting a Home Stereo/Theater? I would 100% recommend that over getting a Mono party speaker. The 1000 is good speaker but it is outdated and also it cannot tws with others partybox speakers except another 1000. 710 is on another level and if you still want to purchase another JBL's party speaker you should go for the new JBL partybox ultimate ☺️
@@Robsreviewsanddemos sorry I'm just seeing this now! So let me tell you about my 5.1 theater system. I must have spent 15 to 20,000! I have a SVS PC13 ultra. I did a video comparing the 710 to the 5.1 and the 710 is highly impressive. Of course the volume and the Christmas and the richness is better on the 5.1 but we're talking a major budgetary difference. My Onkyo receiver stopped working I don't get sound anymore. So now I just watch movies and such with the 710 connected to my TV via an aux cord. It's honestly not bad but not as good as the 5.1.

He also says JBL Partybox 1000 has more features. Well not really, because they both have a DJ Pad/DJ Controls, both have AUX, but 1000 only has RCA. But AUX on both works already the same. And 710 is IPX4 something 1000 is not and both have nice lights and they are pretty similar in features wise. Both have TWS, Both have Bass Boost and more. And 710 has EQ directly in the aplication. 1000 not. But yeah you can use an external EQ. But still 710 kinda has more features.
sorry I don't have the lg's anymore but the 1000 and 710 are so close you can watch this video and apply the 710. ruclips.net/video/-mLLuifXaWs/видео.html&t
No it doesn't the frequency response on the 1000 is lower, plus it has a sub woofer, which generally go lower. You can tell by the camera vibration the 1000 vibrates it much more. Still the 710 is a good value.
amazing tech!!!!! only a company like jbl could pull this off....... btw, they have software sub harmonic generaters in all of these arty boxes...... THAT is where the bass comes from....... in the pro world i use a DBX 120...or a Peavey Kosmos for the same thing......
Am I the only one that thinks that 1,100 watts is almost too much for those little speakers? I mean, I feel like the 710 does a better job at producing bass because it's getting just the right amount of power to get those ( 8's? ) in their sweet spot and can perform with better quality of bass. Yes, 1000 gets louder, but I'm with you, 710 takes it.
They both perform well, the 710 is defiinitely a better value, you get more bang for your buck, but the 12 inch down firing sub produces cleaner and deeper bass. If you want higher end sound the 1000 is the pick but overall value goes to the 710. No 1100 watts is not too much at all.
i want to shake the house like a mf. so do you think if i bought 2 710s and paired them would it out sub the 1000 easy with bass? i want to put it outside my house and have it shake the inside a bit.
I bought one Partybox 710 and wanna take another. But man, trust me, one 710 can reach so good and loud bass and I can't use it in my room up to 50% volume, cause it's really too loud.. I just want another to have the stereo imaging, but I can't imagine the bass in my house with two paired. And with no doubt it will beat one single Partybox 1000 with no chances.

Se os médios e agudos estivessem no máximo na 710 com certeza ficaria bem melhor. Para mim a 710 agrada mais tanto na estética qto sonoridade e tbm por ter app e poder parar em tws.
The 1000 has TWS too. For the money the 710 is better, the 1000 has higher end sound but you pay for it. The 12 inch sub goes lower and sounds cleaner, but it's a lot more money.
@@Sunsetwithlotion it does not but, I honestly don't think you need it unless you're playing over 50% volume all the time. Then if you have an iphone use the music players eq. Its plenty. The speaker is seriously loud so I doubt you'll be playing it over 50-60% often.
Watch the emblems on both speakers, it's obvious the 1000 is shaking the camera way more. Especially at the opening of the second song Still the 710 is a great value, that 12 inch sub on the 1000 just goes deeper and has a more high end sound, as most subs do. @@JBLdestroyerThe Partybox 710 has a fuller bass sound than the Partybox 1000; and that's why it seems to have more bass than PB1000; and I agree with you. But if you wanna more power about 30Hz and down, with a more equal sounding, the Partybox 1000 is the way to go. Anyway, I would not buy a PB1000 today, cause I think that the price difference in comparison with 710 don't justify what you get; and the PB1000 is older, with no app, no way to update the software and make some improvements, no equalizer and no water proof; The light show on the 710 I think is way gorgeous too, and is a more portable speaker than Partybox 1000.
So watts is a good descriptor when figuring how loud a unit's gonna be right? I'll tell you what, these are LOUD! My home theater is 125 watts per channel and I have 5.2 channels, so I'm running 625 watts rms excluding the subs and the 710 is louder. The 1000 is much louder. But I'll take my home theater any day over these things. I always recommend getting a home theater unless you really need a portable speaker. You'll just use it way more, it costs way more too but totally worth it. Here's mine... ruclips.net/video/4g04KlLsqqQ/видео.html
The 710 beats it for Value, sound wise the 1000 is clearly the winner. The 12 sub woofer goes lower as you can see in the camera vibrations. It just has a better frequency response. That said the 710 would kill outdoors as Subwoofers are better inside. They're both great, the price tag is the real key I think. Being the 710 is 500 bucks cheaper it wins, not for sound, just for overall value. Put it this way if I had unlimited money I'd buy a 1000 every time. Bang for your buck the 710 is the obvious choice.
Thank you. Watts is a good indicator of how much power you have. Decibels is a result of watts and speaker sensitivity. It's why every stereo in the world tells you how many watts per channel it has.

look at the vibration on the emblems of the units, the camera vibrates way more when the 1000 plays. The 12 inch down firing sub on the 1000 just goes lower and has more power. Sub woofers generally go lower and you feel them less than a loudspeaker type woofer, yet clearly the 1000 is shaking the camera much more. It's also a lot more money, so I do think the 710 is a better value, if money wasn't an object I'd buy the 1000 for the higher end sound. It truly has a higher end sound than the 710 and like almost all products you get what you pay for.
1000 also has more ports. RCA and More. JBL removed them form the never ones. 🫤🫤🫤 And also JBL Partybox 710 has a DJ Pad. It is in the JBL Partybox app it self. 😉

Hey Rob, hope you have been doing better. Do you have an opinion on the sound quality and bass of the Soundboks vs these two speakers? I'm sure the 1000 sounds better, but I was wondering about how the 710 compares.
they both sound good, if you don't need a battery they're the way to go
I have both. The SB3 can only do bass and some highs. The mids are very muffled. I like it anyways due to it's real portability unlike the big JBL boys which can only be rolled indoors, on one floor :) The SB3 sound quality is not there unfortunately.
Is the 710 pretty clear for mids and highs?
yeah it's a nice unit, originally when it came out it was screechy at the higher volumes. They really fixed it with the eq and updates.

I bought a refurbished one on Amazon this past weekend so hopefully I will be happy with the overall performance. I’m a sound snob lol so crossing fingers. 😄

Brother, I am wondering which one's bass or sound can be heard better in open air, for example, from a distance of 100 or 200 meters, I would be glad if you can help me.
outside you'd probably be better off with the 710. I used the 1000 at my nieces birthday in a big hall and it was plenty, it sounded amazing.
So I don't understand exactly. Is Pb 1000 stronger outside? You said Pb 1000 is more than enough in the concert hall, so does this mean it is stronger than Pb 710? To tell the truth, Onerin can also give me improved bass.@@Robsreviewsanddemos

On long term review, do you still consider the LG OK99 superior to JBL PB1000?
in some ways, the lg is great for outdoor parties and it has great features. for indoors the 1000 is great, but for the price I'd still get the lg. Another issue is the lg isn't available anymore.

the 710 will kill it bass, over all sound and loudness wise. Where the Lg exceeds the JBL is with features and the sound profile is the same no matter how loud you have it, I also think the Lg's sound better when playing rock music.

Does anybody know what frequency range the 8 inch drivers on the 710 does play? Are they woofers playing like 30-100hz or are the midrange drivers playing higher frequencies also? If they are midrange drivers its not good because they cant play both low bass and highs at the same time and you will only hear bass?
The 710 would have wiped the floor with the 1000 if you had the mid and trebel on max 😂

Hello
I have the 310 , love it but i wanted to update, thr differents of the money is not a problem i love the bass music ( techno, psychedelic)
You would recommend the 1000 ? I read somewhere that in higher volumes the bass is flat is that true ?
The sound profile on all jbls speakers changes over about 60%, the bass rolls of a tad. The 1000 is a higher end speaker than the 710 but the 710 is a better value. You get more bang fir your buck. But the 1000 definitely goes lower and gets louder. if you plan on using it outdoors the 710 for sure or if you have a smaller room.

If you pair 2 x 710 in which area they can be better then 1000?
not sure I understand, any stereo pairing will sound better than a mono speaker.
710 loud and has modern bass
I want the 710, not too big but a good speaker to destroy my noisy neighbor
I can buy 1000 only $150 more than PB 710, does it really worth it?
Yeah for that price I think it is. Unless you're planning on using it outside. Outside the 710 is better.

Man I wrote a long reply to you and somehow I lost it. Have you ever considered getting a Home Stereo/Theater? I would 100% recommend that over getting a Mono party speaker. @@Robsreviewsanddemos sorry I'm just seeing this now! So let me tell you about my 5.1 theater system. I must have spent 15 to 20,000! I have a SVS PC13 ultra. Try measuring the power from the wall to see which one pulls more wattage. I heard 710 pulls more watts than 1000. 😜
wattage isn't a meaningful measurement when it comes to decibels, the 1000 is a good bit louder.
amazing tech!!!!! only a company like jbl could pull this off....... btw, they have software sub harmonic generaters in all of these arty boxes...... THAT is where the bass comes from....... in the pro world i use a DBX 120...or a Peavey Kosmos for the same thing......
Well i have 2 310 and i love the way the 710 sounds i can not wait to have it
Can you do PB1000 vs. Teufel Power Hi-Fi?
don't think they sell them in the U.S.

710 👍
PARTYBOX 710 top sound
so easy to tell which speaker people bought
So the 710 did actually beat it
The 710 beats it for Value, sound wise the 1000 is clearly the winner.
