I was just searching for some new dishes to try once I go on vacation from my job; something I could invite friends over and expose them to something different; Wow! This recipe is so good!!! I have made it so many times and my family loves it. If you haven't bought Keith Lorren spices yet, please go to his website and order them. The beef and oxtail seasoning is off the charts! So is the fried chicken and curry seasoning. I am a regular customer and I make sure I don't run out of my Keith Lorren spices. i've made this twice now and it's amazing!! can't quite make the dumplings the way i want it but the rest comes out perfect! I usually add carrots and celery to mine as well
I made mine for the first time yesterday the same way minus the butter beans and dumplings...I will try that way next time. My family loved it though. Instead of ketchup I added stewed tomatoes in mine

I've made oxtails before and ut has never been so good. I tried this recipe today and everyone went Crazy about the Oxtails. I used red beans instead of the Lima But It was GREAATTT! Thanks for the Tips.

Hello, new subscriber here. I've been searching for an Ox Tail recipe on here for 2 days, and came across your recipe. I haven't tried it yet, but best believe yours is the one I will be following. There's only two things that I don't have right off hand which is your seasoning blend, and the mixer that ur using. I'm going out today to get all the rest. This will be my Sunday dinner, everyone else will eat roast, because they don't like trying anything new which burns me up lol. Maybe once they see it done and sample it they may change their mind, but anyway thanku for this recipe, its a must try.

It's not a traditional method of making oxtail but it looks great. The evaporated milk made me raise my eyebrow...but maybe I'll try it.

you can still serve over rice. the dumplings are magical. follow the print recipe on my website because there are some extra tips in the recipe that are not on video

just watched the vid n ordered the oxtail seasoning, been going to jamaican restaurants all around. I decided its time I learn how to make it myself. Ive had many different kinds of tasting oxtail and my fav is the sweet savory in that dark thick sauce. I like the light hint of sweetness people tell me they brown it in brown sugar first. I don't see you do this so I wonder what is the taste of your recipe will it taste sweet? is the sweetness in your secret seasoning?
can I make this in a slower cooker? LOVE your seasonings! and I think you meant 2 inches of ginger. I'm making this now on the stove. I marinated for 2 days.

Actually Keith. The Authentic way to get color on oxtail is to fry sugar (preferably coconut sugar) in oil (preferably coconut oil) until brown then add the oxtail it adds a nice color and flavour. Those dumplings you made are actually called spinners Jamaicans call them dumplings when they are round. Still your oxtail looks good though.
Oh man! You're killin' me. Hmmm, maybe I'll make this one next. I can't make up my mind. They all look great.
Even if you don't try any of Keith's other recipe's, His Ox Tail is a MUST TRY, you will love it for ever, and remember, you really need his spices, without them your missing 90% of the taste of this dish, I travel the world looking for the dishes that bring people together, and this is on the top of my list, and when he says they will be licking there plate, he is really not joking. so again, if you don't try anything else, try this :)

hello my friend! thanks for watching! if you love the recipe, wait until you try it with my oxtail seasoning!! takes it to a whole new planet! hahah that pot was a gift from my grandma and god knows how old it is. I tried to read the name but its scratched off, and mostly in french :-(. Although the pot is a pressure cooker, the seal is broken so I was just cooking it the old fashioned way. I did not pressure cook the oxtails.

I just ordered my seasonings. Can't wait to make my oxtail. One question....Are you using a pressure cooking when making your oxtail. I see keep opening the pot and I couldn't tell if you are using one or not. Pressure cookers intimidate me due to seeing one pop open on my aunt when I was young. I've used one before but I never keep opening it up like on this video. If you are using a pressure, do you have any tips? And will they be as tender if I use a Dutch oven or another type of pot? Help me Keith.

keith that was great. Just when I thought you couldnt top your beef pattie video you came up with this. Do you do deserts too?Those buuter beans must have been already cooked.They liked can bean which can save time. Can you get them dry? You also looked like you rinsed them off. I tried buuter beans from the can but didnt rinse them and it had a metal taste. I think it was becasue they came from a can. Can I use lima beans instead?

in the crock pot! and can be done the same way as in the video. just make sure you cook it for a looooooooong time and its tender before adding the beans. also you can add the dumplings half way through the cooking process but it takes hours lol

Are these the same dumplings you would use in chicken & dumpling?
Green onion/scallion, garlic, ginger, thyme, scotchbonnet, onions, chicken bouillion, are the green ingredients :-) you may also add bell peppers
Also, is your seasoning more sweet? I don't like sweet oxtails...I ordered anyway going to give it a try!
