Great for combo skin too. In my oil prone areas it will glow but doesn’t come off as greasy or oily looking, just a beautiful foundation and wears so well until I take it off.

I’m 59 and love the CT stick. It is very glowy but it settles and with concealer where extra coverage is needed, it’s perfect. It really lasts well, and I feel like I look healthy and dewy all day when I wear it. It’s only product I’ve found which doesn’t sit in pores on my nose or look cakey on one patch on my cheek which is a bit textured.

Thank you for another great review, Stephanie. Elf foundation didn’t work for me at all, it looks like makeup on me though it feels very comfortable on the skin. It is water based so it doesn’t work with anything I use but I’m glad it worked for you. I also ordered glow recipe based on your recommendation, the cleanser and the eye cream from your last video and I love them!!! The cleanser is the bomb, I can’t even explain how impressed I am with it. Thank you again! Looking forward to your next video.
Hi! I'm so glad you're loving Glow Recipe! So many people are closed off to them and they have beautiful products! Re: The elf foundation - it is silicone based even though water is at the top of the ingredient list. Water is usually what's needed to make a product liquid, so it's almost always at the top no matter what. But water-based foundations don't have any silicones near the top of the ingredient list. Dimethicone is the 5th ingredient. There is another silicone 7th and more within the top 3rd or so. If you're letting the primer absorb for a bit before applying and applying in thin layers (to avoid it looking makeup-y), it should work with most silicone based primers. I hope that helps a bit! Thank you 😊
I used the Catrice one today. I put a thin layer on with my fingers and then blended it with a blending sponge. After 5 hours it's nearly all come off. Maybe i should try it with a primer. I used a very thin layer of hydrating toner and a thick layer of SPF (because sun protection) before, which I let sink in to my skin for 15 minutes before using the foundation and finished off with a bit of Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder and urban decay setting spray.
I really love the colourpop liquid foundation. It’s hydrating and not greasy and gives great medium coverage. I am over 40 with dry skin. It never patched up either
As an oily 53-year old I want a light, but not dewey coverage. Armani Luminous Silkis nice, but could last longer. Dior Backstage is lovely. Glam days I’d wear Tirtir red cushion and on long work days ELDW. Have nottried the newish Guerlain.

I believe you need to apply it very lightly to get beautiful results. I tend to like to apply foundation with a sponge and this is no exception. I have been very pleased with the finish and wear time. I do think ELF needs to adjust the shades that are offered. They run quite yellow and that includes the cool shades. I don't think the colors oxidize after they are applied. 😊❤

Thank you for always being honest. I have also used both the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter and her new unreal glow tint stick. I thought the exact same thing about it just being flawless filter in a stick! However, Charlotte Tilbury is still one of my favorite brands. She has many more fabulous products than she does "eh" products.
Wow I was very surprised about the Catrice foundation it looked absolutely beautiful on you! I can no longer buy Catrice in store so I might have to take a stab at ordering a shade and hope it works out
I ended up getting the semi-matte black Tirtir cushion foundation. I really like it, especially since the red one is too dewy for me. It might work better in winter.
I decided to try the e.l.f. foundation - I have dry skin, I’m 60, and I live in a very humid climate (east central FL). Now I have to wait a few days to get my shipment. I was worried about the color selection, because it seems most people say it tends toward yellowness, and I’m pretty rosy. I hope I enjoy it. Thanks for your thorough and honest foundation reviews!
I LOVE the TirTir foundation! I always wore Estee Lauder Double Wear, but my skin got drier as I aged and I just couldn't make it work anymore. TirTir is the closest foundation to the Double Wear that I've come across and it feels so light; and natural on my very dry skin.
I love the Tir Tir foundation too! And I’m the opposite of you-I have a very oily T zone. But this foundation works great- but I will say there’s a learning curve for application. It’s very easy to get too much on the sponge. But once you get that application down, it’s an amazing foundation!
@@stillsheryl776 I watched a bunch of reviews before and after I purchased it to get a feel for the formula. I love the full coverage you can get with it.❤
I've been waiting for your opinion on the Elf Foundation---sounds like it will be a winter one for me as well, I live in Houston!!! Thank you thank you!
I've always struggled with finding a perfect too faced foundation shade. They're usually quite yellow, orange or pink on my fair, desaturated skin. The fairest shades are ghostly on me too hahaha. No good one.
I also got Dior stick foundation in 1.5N and for far really like it. Eeasy to use, doesn't break down, separate or makes me look like a glitter ball. I live in humid but cold conditions and my skin is senstive mature with fine lines combination. Foundations usually slide on me around nose area and settle into the more, this does pretty well for me at least.
I'm 46 and I live in a very humid island. I love the Catrice HD liquid finish 24 hours. Its really great for my combination skin but I'd like something a bit less coverage. Thanks for these recommendations
Thanks for your informative review! Fyi I love my Unreal stick! Now granted I am 70+ and what I thought was combination skin is leaning toward dry. I get all day wear out of it and my skin has a nice glow, not shiny. I was never crazy about Hollywood Flawless Filter. THAT made my skin look greasy and I didn’t get the hype. The consistency is a lot thicker than the glow stick in my opinion. Hope you’ll continue to play with the Unreal foundation stick to get it to your liking.
Stephanie, this was very helpful. Like you, I live in Nola, so your thoughts on successes in our climate always resonate with me. Am over CT and all her excessive "glow"..The Catrice is very interesting to me and will certainly order. I loved their Camouflage concealer for years. Never budged but very natural on my skin. I think their serum foundation could be a good, solid addition. Thank you as always for your excellent, thorough and very balanced reviews!
I just came across your channel and LOVE your review and delivery. Any recommendations for foundation for someone with drier skin...prefer something more hydrating with medium coverage!
I love both of the Two Faced Born this way & Peach Perfect. I still use both because mine is darker for when I have a tan. So I only wear in the summer. Idk what I’ll do when I run out of them.

You are such a natural beauty!! Have you ever done a video on your favorite primers? I live in Houston and can't find one for my acne prone skin. Would love some recommendations!
Hi! I have but it's been a while and time for an update :) In the meantime, have some curated here for various skin types: shopmy.us/collections/15129 and the ones I usually reach for the most here: www.shopltk.com/explore/stephmarie.7/productsets/11ef34ce726a6caea3660242ac110018 I hope that helps! Thank you! :)
@@StephanieMarie Thank you so much! I will look into these.
Totally agree!! 💖
I love your foundation reviews! Thank you. You prompted me to try the Tirtir foundation and I love it! It's perfect for my combination mid 30s skin 🫶
Wow I was very surprised about the Catrice foundation it looked absolutely beautiful on you! I can no longer buy Catrice in store so I might have to take a stab at ordering a shade and hope it works out
I've never been able to buy in store - only through Amazon. At least they have free returns if the shade is way off!
@@StephanieMarievery true! Thanks for the in depth reviews.
I ended up getting the semi-matte black Tirtir cushion foundation. I really like it, especially since the red one is too dewy for me. It might work better in winter.
I want to try that one next!
I’m in Florida as well. Let me know how you like it please? Thank you so much. 💖😊
Too faced peach 🍑 has been my favorite foundation of all time. They need to bring it back
I agree! That was the bomb. Why did they discontinue it anyway?
Only if they fix their shade range and get rid of that overpowering scent.
I love the full coverage you can get with it.❤
@@janmarchand7294 I did the same! 😁
As my skin matures, it takes effort to make the ELDW work for me. I mix it with the their night recovery serum, and that's the only way I wear it now.
I've been waiting for your opinion on the Elf Foundation---sounds like it will be a winter one for me as well, I live in Houston!!! Thank you thank you!
Peach Perfect had a perfect match for my skin.
Neutrogena hydro boost hydrating tent with hyaluronic acid is the best that I've ever used
Thank you for your videos Stephanie! Love your information.😊💕🙋♀️🇨🇦
The elf looks really nice
Thanks for your informative review! Fyi I love my Unreal stick! Now granted I am 70+ and what I thought was combination skin is leaning toward dry. I get all day wear out of it and my skin has a nice glow, not shiny. I was never crazy about Hollywood Flawless Filter. THAT made my skin look greasy and I didn’t get the hype. The consistency is a lot thicker than the glow stick in my opinion. Hope you’ll continue to play with the Unreal foundation stick to get it to your liking.
Great video. Would love to see more application videos.
The warm tones in your makeup looks wonderful on you.
Thank you! 😘
Your skin is lovely - you look great in everything!
Thank you!
I see you using the BK Brushes. Should I invest in them as my only cosmetic brushes? Thank you for your help? How do you clean yours? Baby shampoo?
Thank you Stephanie!
I still have backups of Peach Perfect!🍑
At 67 I love tirtir foundation, I use moderately with a damp beauty blender sponge ❤
I love both of the Two Faced Born this way & Peach Perfect. I still use both because mine is darker for when I have a tan. So I only wear in the summer. Idk what I’ll do when I run out of them.
I just love the CT stick. For me it gives me a glow that’s awesome. In no way is this comparable to Hollywood filter. I’m 54 and live in Colorado. It’s so dry here. It works for me ❤
Love your videos! Do you think primers make a difference with oil control!
They definitely can! Thank you!
I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE with Elf Soft Glam!!! Pores were so visible 😢
@@Alioops69 Thanks for the comments about the pores with ELF. Pores are a glaring problem for me and I have spent so much money on discarded products.
Off topic but you influenced me on some super extra inexpensive dirt cheap brushes on Amazon ( no clue brand) that I did NOT need at that time but some reason I got em and glad I did! They're holding up like many of my high end ones! Thanks 🤑
Beakey! I was impressed by the quality! I’m glad you like them 😊
Your makeup looks fantastic!
Do you know if Tir Tir is cruelty free? Tyia!!!
I can't find a definitive answer. I know they're a reputable high-quality korean brand that a lot of selective sites carry, but I've seen it listed as being CF in some places and in others there's no info on that.
@@StephanieMarie thanks for checking!
Do you have a recommendation for a good primer?
I love these videos 😊
What loose powder do you use once you've finished your make-up for the day? Thank you for your help!!!
Are you using BK Beauty Brushes? Are they worth the money? Please review them because I feel your honest with your reviews!!!
LOVE your recommendations! Thank you so much ❤.
I am your shade match twin, and it helps me so much to buy new foundations (and I buy a LOT 😂)
May I ask , which primer works best for you with the E.L.F new foundation you just reviewed?
I was wondering which mascara you are using. Your lashes look awesome!
Juvias place has a very similar foundation to Peach perfect! You should try it.
The CT stick foundation is probably for "traveling" (although I saw it and don't even want to try it with my more oily, mature skin). 🤷♀️
They need to change its category for sure!
Are you wearing a sunscreen when you’re trying these products? Love your videos!
Ugh, I’m about to return the ELF foundation. My info-55, dry-ish skin, live in PA-outside of Philly. I think this is so heavy on me. It’s just so thick. I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just not for me. I bought 23cool and it’s so peachy. 😕
Can you make a short usual video like Goss style, your quiet enjoying.
Peach Perfect was 🤌🏻! I still have two containers of the PP powder I need to use.
You look stunning. Could you tell me what mascara you’re wearing?
I wish ELF would make base pelroducts in a light enough shade. I got their foundation in the lightest shade, and it's still too dark. I need to find a good mixer to use it. 😢
Hi. I’m new to your channel. I live in Miami, Fla and I am 53 years old with combination skin. What is your recommended foundation? I’m tired of spending money on products that do not work for me. Thank you 😊
I have pretty much stopped buying anything TF ever since they discontinued the Peach Perfect line. 😭
This is shiner even on your left side!!!
Would you give a review on Laura Geller's Double Take Full Coverage Foundation please?!! Thank you!!
So sad that Too faced didn't work. I loved peach perfect too. Shame we don't get Elf readily in NZ.
Oooh that tirtir looks like such a great shade match. It looks really good on you. I still need to try that one.
It’s the metalic look aluminum as it it in lots of products
What shade of Catrice foundation would be a match with Elf 32? What mattifying primer would you recommend?
You have a black button that say's JOIN If I press this do I have to pay for something? Thank you for your help!! Natalie
Face products from CH T do not work for me; on the contrary, they age me greatly. Have you tried the complexion products from RMS or Nikol Cosmetics?
What do you use as Your matifying primer??
What’s your holy grail primer?
Primer video is going up tomorrow!
I want to get to Tirtir but can not figure out a shade. I’m fair skinned with neutral undertones. Anyone know????
I tried two shades and both were really yellow so I'm struggling with the shade choices too
I need help , I have a very special wedding to attend in a month ,I’ve had 4 reconstructions on my face for a rare cancer 😔 I need ideas for a good coverage Foundation ( I’m 71 and no oily skin
Also most of eye lashes fell out due to meds but have a few HELP PLEASE 🙏
Hi! Check out my recent top full coverage foundations video. There should be a good option in there for you. I'm sure you'll look beautiful! :)
