Im so glad you were real about the elf foundation. Other influencers are talking about it as if its a dupe for high end foundation. Not that I was going to buy bc I try to stay away from the thousands of products influencers push. But your honest thoughts are greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
But even the high end needs finishing powder/spray (within her video). I like her tweaking ideas. The elf works well for my everyday foundation even in the humidity.
Hi!! I think I wrote on another post about the Tirtir. So here is just a short!! WOW!! Got it today from Amazon and immediately tried it with the brush as you suggested. Holy cow!! That is the BEST foundation I have ever used. I am 78 years old with decent skin, and it went on like butter. Time check it did not sink into wrinkles!! I did not try the mat, but with this I will add some CT glow in places. It took so little to get lovely coverage. Thank you for your review because I saw one that did not like it. Use a good brush is the total answer. BTW, I watch all your videos, and I would love to see you do some makes on older glamor girls!!
Surprisingly, the elf foundation got me through a couple of long, hot, sweaty 4th of July weekend days and it still looked good at the end of each day. I used the elf liquid poreless primer underneath and finished with the elf stay all night setting spray. I didn't intentionally use all elf, it's just what I grabbed for a trip, their packaging is conducive for travel. It's not the most elegant foundation, but it works for me. I have normal to dry skin.
Thank goodness for Fenty! Hardly anyone anymore making foundation shades for us pinker-undertoned people! Still could have a bit more pink to it but the closest I’ve gotten so far. 😊
Depending on budget and coverage, I have found the following brands offer a strong pink undertone: Nars, Chantechaille, Haus Labs, Make Up Revolution and Patric Ta (Shade 1 anyway).

I would love for you to do an entire video on fragrance free skincare and makeup. It is desperately needed for those of us who have reactions to fragrance. Will never understand why companies use it. It is not good for us.
I'm using the black Tirtir cushion foundation. I started with minis of the red and black, and I preferred the light to medium coverage. I use it the the Heimish Artless Glow primer. I may use the red in cooler weather.
I am definitely going to try to use a brush with the TirTir foundation. I have tried it a couple of times using the sponge that came with it and I didn’t do too well applying or blending. I am also going to order a 23N ( I have the 24N but it seems to oxidize darker) Thankyou Nikki . I love your videos and livestreams . You have helped me so much with gaining confidence in doing my makeup. I hope you have a wonderful blessed day.
Thanks Nikki! Regarding the elf, I am 63 years old with very dry skin. I’ve tried applying this foundation twice now and just can’t get it to work. It sits on my skin. But, since you’ve mentioned using a primer maybe I will try that and give it a shot one more time. Thank you
I have super dry skin and I wear the CT foundation stick over my tinted sunscreen and my skin looks beautiful. It is the perfect combo for me! Because my skin is so dry, it doesn't matter how luminous a foundation is, by the end of the day my skin just looks dry, but not the new CT! I love it and have now found my new holy grail make up cocktail!
You work so hard on these videos and are super informative. I’m 76 and finally know how to apply my makeup because of you. I purchased several of your brushes and I LOVE them. Thanks for all that you do. What time do you video on Sundays? I would love to join in.
I have the elf soft glam and like it, but I did notice my pores just a little bit yesterday. I'm going to try the milani skin quench primer underneath. I use the milani under my eyes and it is so much better than the Scott Barnes hack. I also have the CT and I used it over tinted Sunscreen. I love it! I have the tirtir but haven't used it yet, so your tips today were great! I don't remember what I thought of the fenty because it's been a few weeks. Have to use it again. I have so many foundations right now and not enough times I've worn foundation.
Thanks Nikki, I feel vindicated of my review of the Fenty foundation… people didn’t like that i said it wasn’t long lasting and that you must powder heavily if you have an oily t-zone. Thanks I feel better now lol!
Echoing - what a great tutorial - it is one thing to say a product is good or not so much - quite another to explore and share techniques for successful wear. The thoughts on the Charlotte Tilbury foundation stick are very insightful as well as application for the Tir Tir foundation -Thank you, Nikki-as usual knocked it out of the park!
Okay Nikki you convinced me, I'm getting the Tirtir cushion! Now the big question is which shade... Cushion foundations have come a long way. I remember when there used to only have 2 shades!
I finally cracked and bought the mini TirTir and the first time I used I was like WTF!!! However, after wearing a few times I absolutely freaking love it!!! I have the shade 23 sand, but it's super light on me, I'm a little tanner than Nikki in the face. I make it work but would love to buy a different shade now that I know it's a good foundation!!!
Hi, Nikki! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these ❤ i love your eye makeup! if you have time, can you give advise on which skin tints would work best for very oily skin & that would withstand hot humid climates after properly setting it w/ powder?
I have all of the above bar the CT stick as that doesn't appeal to me. Love the Fenty and Elf one...but like yourself, I have been blown away by the Tirtir one! In fact I now have the full size of my allover shade and 3 minis of one lighter and two darker shades to brighten and contour and bronze. It's genius and perfect for travel! x
Thank you for these comparisons. I will say I did try a sample of the Fenty and I did not care for it even though I have dry skin. It was just too heavy and sat on my skin.
The new Fenty foundation is amazing for my dehydrated mature skin, it's better than so many others that are high end! This and my Nars Light Reflecting are so far my faves. I also just tried the Makeup Forever HD skin Glow it was not very flattering it did not overly impress me at all, it sits on top of my skin and sets patchy, the Fenty is so so pretty. Thanks so much Nikki😘 From Australia xo
What concealer do you use? I also have dry skin. I have dark under eye circles and the concealers I try always crease. This gently makeup looks so pretty.
This is good to know! In the summer I use a combo of the Fenty EazeDrop stick and EazeDropLit, but I think I might need something more hydrating for winter.
@@maritzac95Try the Sisley. The price is $$$$ but I’m on my fourth year and it’s still half full and I use concealer every single day that I wear makeup. The Huda one also has a nice slippery texture that works well for me.

I love the elf foundation. I’m oily and use primer and powder and it has been my weekend go to since I got it.
Thank you very much for your advice Nikki 🌷
Thanks Nikki, I feel vindicated of my review of the Fenty foundation… people didn’t like that i said it wasn’t long lasting and that you must powder heavily if you have an oily t-zone. Thanks I feel better now lol!
That was so helpful. Thank you
Echoing - what a great tutorial - it is one thing to say a product is good or not so much - quite another to explore and share techniques for successful wear. The thoughts on the Charlotte Tilbury foundation stick are very insightful as well as application for the Tir Tir foundation -Thank you, Nikki-as usual knocked it out of the park!
The NYX blur foundation is wonderful
Okay Nikki you convinced me, I'm getting the Tirtir cushion! Now the big question is which shade... Cushion foundations have come a long way. I remember when there used to only have 2 shades!
Exactly! Gray and less gray! Lol
Thank you for this in depth review
I finally cracked and bought the mini TirTir and the first time I used I was like WTF!!! However, after wearing a few times I absolutely freaking love it!!! I have the shade 23 sand, but it's super light on me, I'm a little tanner than Nikki in the face. I make it work but would love to buy a different shade now that I know it's a good foundation!!!
You are giving us all the info !!! 🎉
Been using the Tirtir for about a week. Like it, but have wondered if it would work better with brush application. Thanks for showing this method. 😊
Hi, Nikki! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these ❤ i love your eye makeup! if you have time, can you give advise on which skin tints would work best for very oily skin & that would withstand hot humid climates after properly setting it w/ powder?
I actually find the new CT "foundation" to be more blurring than the original, and so far it doesn't make me break out like the original.
It's genius and perfect for travel! x
Love your content! Much ❤and appreciation from central Pennsylvania!
I'm from Pennsylvania too! What part of PA are you from?
Thanks!! So informative!!! Great video!
@@EleanorLaneDesign thank you I’ll look into Sisley. I tried one of the Huda ones but it was too dry for me
