Dori Ghezzi & Wess - "Era"
The song that should have won the contest that year, no contest. An immensely fresh and catchy disco number, coupled with a great performance by both Wess (RIP) and Dori Ghezzi. After almost 40 years, it's still funky. I mean, seriously, this should've walked it. That Teach-In won with "Dinge Dong" is borderline criminal.

One of the COOLEST song in ESC history.......
I like this song. Italy has always been my favourite country in ESC. Later on in the 70s Dori Ghezzi was kidnapped by a band of Sardinian bandits wiith her partner at the time, Fabrizio de André.

@@BellaMusical All ended well and they lived together until De Andrè's death in 1999. Now she takes care of his memory.

One of the standout songs from that year. I like the mellow funk groove, the strings and the vocals, especially Wess Simpson’s.

USA 1975: segregated music charts for white and black artists still exist
Italy 1975: I don't care if you are white, black, green or martian, whoever sings a song completely or mostly in italian can take part in Sanremo festival, win and represent us in Eurovision
Italy 2018: An albanian-born singer is one of Italy's biggest music stars and everybody loves him representing us in ESC
Italy 2019: OMG, no way an italian guy born from an egyptian father won Sanremo, ewww, three words in arabic in his song, this is the freaking end of the world!

Ma guarda che Wess e Dori Ghezzi non avevano vinto Sanremo nel 1975, anzi non avevano neache partecipato. Questa canzone è stata scelta dalla RAI per l'Eurovision

I guess it's my lot in life to play peacekeeper, but at least we can agree that Italy were robbed here. (Btw, I love "Magic oh Magic" in the studio version, but the live version left a lot to be desired.)

Amazing. Definitely would've been a good winner, modern, upbeat, great orchestra, great voices and singing. Not my winner but I'm surprised it didn't win! The juries liked a song about ding a dongs more.

setheurovision94 yes, it's realy good song, but don't underestimate the winner, and also Shadows, that were really good, even our entry SHLOMO ARZI was good with great arangment, but 1975 is not just 'era but also an era of great music means hard compitition...still it's unique and very good harmony'

It couldn't win against 'ding dinge dong' and 'let me be the one'. Epic year following on from Abba '74. Eurovision glory days.
The highlight in a pretty weak year overall. Definitely gets my douze and has aged incredibly well. I don't hate Ding a Dong that much though! At least it doesn't suffer from the terrible verse/chorus juxtaposition which was really prevalent this year.
What is this genre? Reggae pop? MOR Reggae?
It's a really strong and solid song, but it would be so much better if he would sing the song alone or with an alto singer instead because their voices doesn't match each other at all.

Canción bonita pero sobretodo, tan sorprendentemente moderna.
Tema bastante alejado del clasicismo acostumbrado y fue un éxito.
Dori Ghezzi & Wess cantan bien pero no hay magia entre ellos, nada!
Su tercer puesto con 115 puntos es muy injusto, todo un despropósito.
Para mi es la peor representación de Italia hasta ese año. Doy 6 Puntos.
A mí me parece una de las mejores canciones de Italia desde 1956... Y un tercer puesto más que merecido. À chacun sa chanson.
