Late answer but here we go. I started on march 2021 with a buzzcut and my hair on top is coming down my lips right now. Im growing it out with sides and back but im able to put my top hair into a bun so i'd say 1 year but its Different from Person to person

It's so difficult to maintain that long hair especially here in Dubai, where temperature gets to 50+ degrees. Now I'm growing out again 😅 hopefully I can tie it up after few months. ok absolutely no. if you want a top knot, you have to have it long in the front and back. then you can actually do a top knot/bun, not an onion.
