Cub Cadet 500 (Yamaha Rhino Knock Offs) Air Filter Change Tips!

- I needed to change the air filter on the Cub Cadet, and here are some tips that will hopefully make it easier. This should work for most of the Yamaha Rhino Knock Offs such as: Hisun, Massimo, Bennche, Rural King, Coleman and Axis.

As a Yamaha Rhino owner, this was painful to watch. Patience definitely needed.
I think the Rhino is way easier than this one, isnt it? Does the Rhino have side clips instead of the screws? And yes, patience does help. Next time I think ill cut out that section of metal that the lid hangs up on. What a pain!

Have you ever changed the coolant in this machine? Can't find a video that shows it.
Hey Ken. I have never changed the coolant on this rig. I only have 200 hrs on it, so I didnt see the need. Not sure what the manual recommends thou.

Hey Ken. I ordered the foam sleeves from Amazon. Like I mentioned in the video, the filter was very clean, but the old sleeve was filthy. So I only changed the sleeve. Heres a link to the sleeves on amazon

Does K&N make an air filter for that?

I went to the K&N website, and I didnt find and size compatible filters. I would take the filter to your local Napa, and have them search their computers.
I'm curious, how do you get your filter cover off? Is it as tough as mine?

The only machine that we currently own other than our vehicles is an Arens 24” snow thrower.
My vision is poor so I take it into the farm equipment shop where it was originally bought and have them change the oil and do whatever else needs to be fixed.
Our next big investment will be to buy a Honda Fourtrax 4X4 Quad. And yes it too will be taken into Rowe Tractor to be serviced.
I grew up on a farm and we did all of the maintenance and repairs on all of our vehicles and equipment, but since my vision has been compromised I simply cannot see well enough to do those things anymore.

Those Honda quads are really nice. Your not alone with the bad eyes. Mine are not great either.
