Hi abel...i am using a novation launchkey 49 which has got 16 drum pads...so can i assign may be piano to drum pad 1....rhodes to drum pad 2 and so on....so that i can shift to different patches by clicking the corresponding drum pad.

I have one question about the muting. I created a Multilayer patch and wanted to assign different buttons as mute buttons for each channelstrip. I assigned each button seperately but when I push one button, all the other buttons turn on/off in Mainstage as well. How can I change that so one button mutes just one channelstrip and not all the others?
My keyboard is an Oxygen MKIV 61

Hi AbeL im using the yamaha mm6 midi controller and Iam trying to assign the hardware knobs to control individual patches.While in layout mode everything works perfect as it should .The software knobs in the work space respond like they should ,but when I switch to edit mode and map the hardware knobs to software sliders the just flicker and act crazy,moving up and down repeatedly when I turn the hardware knob.Ive watched all the step by step videos....PLEASE HELP!

Carlos Chavez the NanoKONTROL2 is just a midi control (pretty much like a computer mouse) it does nothing if you don’t have a software to control.

Great tutorial! I am having issues labeling in the workspace. I am trying to label my assigned pads differently in every patch but when I change a label in one patch it changes in all of them. I know that in the worship essentials pack you changed the labels in each patch for piano or pad or synth. How can I do that? Thanks!
If I purchase one of you "track stacks," (SV7 Holy Pad) Do I need to save each individual channel strip from that patch? I want to layer in Holy Pad as one instrument, not sure how to do that.
Hi Abel. Thank you so much for your videos. I just got into DAW/VST and your channel is awesome. Definitely getting the Synthsation 3. However, I have issues playing Mainstage samples from my controller. Each time I hit a note on the controller, it sustains and there is a significant lag between each. I also have this issue in Kontakt 5 player but not when it is hosted in garageband. Have you ever encountered this issue or do you have any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks

I was trying out Mainstage for the first time last night and noticed that the sounds played from my KB sound much different then when I play the onscreen keyboard. The onscreen sounds are clear while the other is muffled. I am using a puc+ for my midi connection. Could that be the issue?
So what is a Concert in mainstage ?

Abel so i have same keyboard as you in video MPK 88 did same as you to assign knobs they work in

Whats your settings on the Akai for your Sustain pedal? What input are you using? What midi channel are you using? Are you programing a CC message on the Akai? I have a MPK261 and Im having trouble with setting up the sustain pedal

how do unhide inspectors and channel strips, it is apparently grey and I can't get it back. I want to basically assign my patches separately to individual faders so I can be able to use my faders to turn up or down, in order combine my patch sounds such as piano/pads or wurlitzer/pads or any instruments I saved for my patches so I can easily blend sounds at will. please help brother Abel. Hey this is perfect. I tried it using my Arturia Keylab 49 mkII. But when im assigning the fader its weird and the mainstage reading the type as Note On/Off and the number is G#6. What should i do? Anyone can help me?
Hi Abel, Tengo un problema con mi Axiom 61 air y no se si podras darme luz al respecto, los sliders no me bajas el volumen totalmente, siempre dejan un poco de volumen casi impersectible pero que siempre se mezcla al final, inlcuso si el slider esta completamente abajo. Muchas Gracias.

I am very new to MIDI controls and MainStage.
Let me first explain my situation:
I'm trying to have 4 different sounds controlled with my 4 knobs on my MIDI controller.
The first knob I want to assign a Piano sound, the 2nd an Electric Piano, 3rd a Pad, and 4th a different synth sound.
The problem I'm having is that I can assign volume to my piano, but when trying to assign the 2nd, it starts controlling the 1st knob, as if they were synced together. Now going to the 3rd and 4th knob it is doing the same thing. Now when moving any of the knobs all the volumes are synced.
Is there a way to separate the 4 knobs to correspond to their respective sound?
I want to be able to pull up a full piano sound individually or layer the different sounds together.

wagner daniel hey, sorry for the late reply, the MPK tap button is a bit tricky, I recommend just using any other button for that.

Thanks for this! do i understand correctly that mainstage is for using VSTs live? what If i have a studio full of hardware synths and want to perform with those (e.g. looping, etc)
if you want to take your hardware on stage i recommend getting ableton live instead. much better routing options. but you could create sampler patches (works superb once you understood it via mainstage auto sampling) and use your hardware as sampled vsts in mainstage. so you could just bring your laptop and this way you come really close to your hardwares sound.
