As a retired builder, your garden and garden fence looks great. You and your wife did an excellent job. I appreciate your sharing and your deliberate diligence to plan. Blessings on succeeding to being as self sufficient as possible...☝🙏💪👉...
I really like this. This looks like what I need for my yard. Fencing in gardens is probably going to be a big need in the next coming months. Thanks for sharing your concept. Love it.
Your place are beautiful and need. I can see you are a need and discipline farmer. I really enjoy your work, I am to old to do farming anymore, use to farm. I live in South Africa, Freestate province. Blessings.
You fence looks good to me. You both did a good job. Even when you look at corner of the fence back towards the house the fence blends in nicely with the house.
Good job on the fencing. I have the same fencing around my property and have discovered that rabbits will go right through the 2" opening. You will need put some fencing with a tighter weave about 24" all around the bottom to keep the rabbits out. I had to put rabbit fencing, 24" all around my property to keep them out. I just put it on right over the 2"x4" wire I had already put up all around the bottom.
I came across your channel a few weeks ago and managed to watch 90% of your videos. It gives this almost 60 year old hope in fulling my country life style living. Thanks
Puppies..... it’s a good thing they are cute otherwise they would be hard to keep to being a well trained adult. They will get better Australian shepherds are extremely trainable they just are so smart they get bored and find all the trouble to get in. Good luck and happy gardening!!!
Looks great Evan!!! Definitely envious of that enclosure... And the nice thing is at the end of the season You can lock the goats and chickens in there to clean up from the post harvest
home depot sells the galvanized staples for your gun 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" both 1/4" crown , you might be able to put a double slide type barn door gate on the fence, just a thought
I feel for you bro!!!!! I’ve got a 6 month old puppy. His name is Eli and he’s a miniature wire haired dachshund and teething like crazy. He has a basket of toys and shoes and a couple of sticks. And that’s all. I was supposed to get another one a month after him but she didn’t wire out. I’ll put it this way, I’m glad I ended up with just one for now
Happy to see you wearing safety glasses . I can't count on bother hands how many nails screws staples I have seen come through the ER where I work ! Many times resulting in a lost eye ! That being said love the fence and your çabin !
May I make a suggestion for your gates...put a false post in the centre to hold your gates stable. Your post in the centre of your opening needs to have a cemented in metal post in the ground cut at ground levelthen your post sits inside this so it can be removed if you need the double gates opened. This way you can open one gate at a time but both are latched to the centre post but both gates are hinged on the outside posts. You'll find it so easy to use this way. Love your whole garden.
JudithB The fence looks great! I plan to build hoops for 2 of my new beds but I will put netting on first for summer use, putting plastic or cloth on for winter. I want to be able to turn my chickens in during winter to clean weeds n bugs out, but still be able to protect winter crops too! My dogs learned pretty fast to stay out of my gardens, but biggest problem is deer, so my fences are 7'.
use top rail for chain link fence and make gates fasten welded wire . you can get stainless staples from amazon. you could also use treated furring strips and screws to cover edges of wire.
As for closed gate or door to the opening on the garden; I would suggest a pallet door set vertical to the opening. You can fence wire if you need to keep the animals out.
I pinned my windows on the outside (new trim &new windows) so I used stainless steel, might think about that if they sell them? That sure is a nice fence around your garden you did a really good job...thanks for all your cool videos
Love your place and you did a great job on the fencing. Have you thought of maybe putting some kind of netting over the top to prevent scavaging from the birds ?
Instead of doing the galvanized staples, you could get some 1x4 and cover the fence at all the posts. It would secure everything and finish it off really nice.

Good organic gardening.

Love to watch you grow! You are both amazing and thank you for what you're giving everyone!
What a beautiful job on the fencing . I think the dogs are more of a problem than the wildlife . LOL .
That's a solid (and easy) fence method. Thise pocket screw are no joke!
Your garden fence has turned out great. 2 puppies at the same time is definitely a challenge, but well worth the effort.

I think the garden and fence are beautiful. It will be nice not having to worry about critters getting in and wrecking all your hard work.

Securing the bottom of sliding doors is a challenge, especially with no center post or ground plate
Nice job

You did a great job on installing the fence
Mate, try oiling the staples with old oil to preserve them. It will also help protect the fence. 🇦🇺
Nice looking fence. You might want to keep your hoop house close for this coming Friday night as it is suppose to get to 34 in Western KY.

THANK YOU!!!! I’ve been trying to decide how I wanted to build the fence around our garden. Ours is pretty close to the same size as yours.
use top rail for chain link fence and make gates fasten welded wire . you can get stainless staples from amazon. you could also use treated furring strips and screws to cover edges of wire.

Great job Evan, the gate need to be an sliding one, or the post will have a tremedus strengt to it... if U use a hanging gate that is.

Very good work as always. I'm ready to put in a garden about your size.
