- A tranquil meandering through relaxing trails alongside the Minnesota River. Yield to passing Snapper Turtles and be wary of the occasional lurker you may encounter.

Beautiful city I like the farmer market thank you.
Had to give this another watch! This is the most relaxing MTB video I’ve ever seen. Could be used as a calming tool for anyone! Great mellow narration added to the calming effect. 🥱🤤
Thinking of looping for ten hours so people can add it to their 'deep sleep playlist' right next to 'gentle rain' and 'chorus of crickets'.
SireSingletrack Straight gold!
Great video. It's one of my favorite winter fat tire biking spots. So serene, even though it's so close to civilization.
Agreed on all counts
Sweet video. Love the excellent narration.
haha, watching this as everything is flooded right now :( im really wanting to go
And on the 3rd day, God gave us the river bottoms
The best!!!!! Love you! 💙
Te am💙
Great video!
Thanks Man
Very informative and meditative. 👍🏽
Why I took that quick nap in that tree man. Trail mellowed the bejesus out of me.
Full suspension on a trail like that is overkill
No real noticeable difference riding this on the hardtail or the full-sus. Mellow fun either way.
34 Ibiza Spliff is a banger. bop
Fully agree with you there
Super fun and chill trail
Definitely. Love all the branch off points too. The sand can get pretty squirrelly, but my fat bike rips through all of this no problem.
Well done video, I would ride on the old Bloomington Ferry road a lot late 90's early 2000's & one day I happened upon this trial, It was right there the whole time lol. I would ride that trail almost every weekend until I moved to SW, MN in 2006. In 2012 I moved back & road that trail again.
I shot video of that raft in May 2006, uploaded it on RUclips Oct 2006. I shoot a higher quality video in 2013 & posted it. I moved to Ohio 7 years ago, I miss that trail. I road part of the Mohican mountain bike trail in Loudonville, OH. Part of it is a lot tougher than this. I should put all my videos I have of this together. Mostly 2006 & 2013.
A side note, the background photo on my channel is from this trail, I shot 2005. It's near the 35w bridge.
Nice. The raft thing here is so cool. I put off riding this trail for awhile because of how easy and presumably boring it would be. Due to a move it is now the closest trail and I hit it up a lot. Super relaxing and now we got people building jumps and stuff too which is a welcome addition. You can actually see me hitting some of the jumps, as well as crashing, in my latest vid. I went back to ride this for my first real snowfall ride of the winter season. Unfortunately the raft was chained up. I’ll check out your vid. Hopefully you good some good trails in Ohio. Minnesota is getting better every year. So many good trails and so many more in the works.
Looks like a good option for when I don't want to rip it but don't want to ride pavement either :)
Absolutely. And you can get a lot of mileage in here, I haven’t explored it all yet but there’s a ton of trail.
Sometimes a calm cruise is such a nice refresh and putting in good miles on dirt next to a river is far from the worst way to spend a day. Great video, though your name change confused me for a second!
Ha! Yeah, dialed in was taking shots and emasculating my former channel name so I caved and decided to switch it up to Señor Singletrack. My lady gave me one of those looks. So I went with Sire Singletrack out of desperation which is probably dumber than all the preceding channel names but whatever. DirtMurderer, SingletrackSorcery and BicOccultyst were on the table but my riding can’t support such handles. Not sure what came over me, guess I was just feeling really regal at the time. You got anymore of that pure grade Wyoming singletrack in the chamber? That was one of the first things I thought of when I logged on today. Thought this was gonna be a Sunday ritual my dude, don’t hold out on me.
You gotta try tor upper trail that goes East from Lyndale. You can get about 900 ft of climbing in 8 miles. Very different from the trails west of Lyndale
I’ve ridden from the Lyndale trailhead a few times and definitely got a lot of miles in. Don’t ever recall getting too much climbing in but it was good times regardless.
One of the most unique MTB trails I've heard of in the Twin Cities. The raft part towards the end seemed so unique and fun. To me it seemed like we could ride this on a good Gravel Bike. Thoughts?
You could definitely ride this on a gravel bike. In fact, I’ve seen a few people doing it. There are a few sandy spots you have to watch out for but not too many. It’s an awesome ride. Have fun if you end up riding it man!
@@ElTerrible2011 thank you for the video and comments.
I wonder if it would be good stealth camping?
I helped build that jump 😁 2:03
Nice! Not gonna lie though, the big hole on the landing side was unexpected 😆. Seriously though, if you don't have enough speed to clear that hole you probably shouldn't be hitting that jump in the first place. Thanks for adding features!
@@ElTerrible2011 yea that's true
@JACKSON AHINFUL I added on to it- that's why I said helped
@JACKSON AHINFUL did you make the other stuff in that little area?
@JACKSON AHINFUL nice it's awesome so thanks I'll try to go and help with adding more stuff when i got time 🤟
Trailhead just off of the parking lot?
Yeah, it’s the parking lot at the end of Bloomington Ferry Rd., sometimes I go to the one at the end of Lyndale Ave. too.
Do the trails lead back to the starting point or do you have to come back the same way?
I always return the same way. I usually try to keep the river on my shoulder one way and on the other when returning. There is a lot of trail though further from the river bank so you could take different trails back.
@@ElTerrible2011 Awesome! Thanks for the info. Happy riding!
@@STRAYD0G187 Have fun man
This was my first single track
That’s cool man. My first ride was at Murphy. The weird thing is I feel like I have Murphy mapped out better than all the other metro trails. Wonder if that first experience just really seared it into my brain.
Can you dirtbike this trail. And what trail is this?
Nah, I highly doubt it. This can be heavily pedestrian. It’s the Minnesota River Bottoms trail, this portion is in Bloomington, off of Bloomington Ferry Rd. There’s parking off of Lyndale as well.
Agriculture destroyed Minnesota’s water ways
I've been there before but not biking
Good to get outside and enjoying nature either way. This is a really good spot to give off road cycling a shot though and you don’t need a high end mountain bike to do it during the summer. If you have the opportunity and don’t bike already I would strongly recommend it. I’ve been biking here a lot this winter on the fat bike as well. Fun times.
@@ElTerrible2011 omg you replied to me I'm hyperventilating
@@alivialahr5316 lol. so sincere 🤪
@@ElTerrible2011 wait do you live in Minnesota or you just film here but you just live near?
@@alivialahr5316 Locally-sourced and based! The River Bottoms are my local trails now.
full sus on the river bottoms smh
Overkill no doubt. Generally hit it on the hardtail fat bike, which is actually ideal when it gets sandy. I’ll ride either of my bikes on whatever though as long as I can get out and get a ride in.
Terrible choice in background music.
