Thank you so much for watching this video! Here are the project plans to go along with this build! www.woodbrew.tv/store/p/adjustable-hammock-stand-plans
Good afternoon neighbor! (I live in Fairhope as well) I built this for my daughter and she loves it. Thanks for giving me a reason to pull my tools out of storage!
pause at time 7:11 the 4x4 is 5 1/2 ft long. 2x4's are 4ft long and the support 4x4 is at a 65 degree angle. the hole for the eye-bolt is 3in down and center. the rest is cosmetic to your liking.
@@rossharper1903 I haven't finished yet. I did all the cutting, but I don't have a proper workshop, so I have to work outside. I'm waiting for the rain to stop and Friday to come again. Also, finding bolts and screws at the moment is not that easy. Had to go to four different hardware stores and make do with what I found. Hopefully will finish this weekend🤞
You guys are so freaking cute. I love seeing happy positive people especially couples and then being able to do a business which RUclips is for some people and I see this as a business for you guys. Being able to do that together and still be happy and positive I just think that’s so great
I have a huge hammock so I have it extended with about a 14" on either side of the base 4x4 and it bows quite a bit. I'm going to replace the 4x4x8 with a 4x4x12 with some more bolts and see how that goes.
Hi! I was looking at this design and am in the same boat as you - did using the 4' x 4' x 12' work to eliminate the bowing? I'm also a big guy at 310 lb., so the amount of compressive force is a concern before I go out and buy materials. I was also thinking of adding another pair of angled 4' x 4' supports that attached to the insides of the main uprights to the ground on the inside of the frame to take some of the stress. Thank you in advance!
Had a thought. You could space out a few holes on one side of the bottom so when/if you need to adjust the base there are already pre-drilled holes. That would also be a way you could sell these without having a specific hammock attached. Hope that makes sense. Just a thought. Great design!!
Hope you all enjoyed the video😊 We will be doing another video later in the week to talk about these drills and in that video we will be giving away a set of these and a right angle drill. It will be a 24hr thing, so if you are interested be on the look out for that video. Hope you have a great rest of your week!
Why 65° and not an easier 45°? Is that too steep for a hammock? Love the design and plan to try it out. Thanks a lot! (btw...congratulations on engagement)
I dont know if yall will see this comment so late but ... is there a weight limit? My brother and I want to build this for his backyard but he's 6'4 and my sister in law is 5'10 ...
Really nice update to one of your best projects. One question about The Home Depot sponsorship-- being from Alabama, did you feel conflicted at all wearing that orange hat? Just wondering, here in the Volunteer state!
nice project, how long did it take to make your first one, how much materials should it cost? I feel the structure looks a little overkill, do you think this could be make with 2x4's or 2x6's instead (and still support 2 medium adults)?
You may wanna consider reducing the price on the plans. Adding up the cost of all the material and the plans, it is turning out to be slightly expensive than the cheapest pre-built alternative on Amazon
Thank you so much for the ideas on your video! By the way, just to throw it out there if anyone needs it, Woody Hyezmar's Bible is still available for anyone to download, go’ogle it…cheers!!

The best hammock stand I've seen. I'm gonna make it today. Fingers crossed. Thank you
How did your build go?

Haha thank you so much! It's not always rainbows and sunshine, but for the most part it is and wouldn't want to be doing anything else!
A trampoline frame on a bike trailer makes a good portable hammock frame

Hi Kiddos. I just downloaded these plans. Awesome design and headed out to grab some materials. Keep up the great job
Thank you for posting this......
My wife has been asking for a new hammock stand thank you
Sounds like perfect timing :)
@@Woodbrew yes sir it is and with your plans online it's a no-brainer. As long as you keep your fingers away from the sharp spinning things. Hahaha
Love your channel. You certainly contribute more than you take. Best of luck to you both.
Lucy tested and approved!!!!!
Absolutely!
I just purchased a hammock. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful! Thank you for watching 🙃
Our friends gave us a 16’ hammock. Any tips on expanding you cool design to fit this size.
Thanks and love your channel!!!
Awesome video
I built one of these after meeting you guys at the gathering in Skiatook, OK.
This is a great update to it! I like the adjustability, that's something we wanted to do when we remake ours!
Wow, so long ago!!
@@Woodbrew I know! And Congratulations!
Great video 👍❤️
Great work my friend I will use your idea. It's perfect !
Exactamente trabajo gracias por tu video 🎉

That’s a great idea!
What kind of weight could it handle?
Love you two! Very inspirational on many levels! :)
Awe thank you so much!
How much would the wood cost average for this project?
Much needed DIY 🙌
Yeeess!!
Nice hammock stand Dylan & Molly :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Thank youuu :))
Your very welcome :) Have a wonderful week!😎
You too!
Thanks you 🤗
Thank you too!
For that weird drilling angle, you could make a drill guide by drilling a hole in a square block and then mitering the angle off one end.
You could!
Excellent 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Is the smaller one also an impact driver?
One is a drill and one is an impact!
You could make a 25° cut opposite of what you want your 65° to make that angle
Hope you all enjoyed the video😊 We will be doing another video later in the week to talk about these drills and in that video we will be giving away a set of these and a right angle drill. Oooooh... looking forward to this!
Bom dia!
Muito bom, parabéns!
Would you be able to make that center 4x4 brace as an adjustable brace? Looks like it might be doable. If so, that would be awesome!
So you can move the two sides apart along the 4x4 as far as you need to make the whole stand adjustable!
Just bought my first house so I think this will be a good project for the backyard! Keep up the good work you two!
That would be awesome! Congrats on the house!!
I don't see no link to get all the details. Help.
Hey Howard! Here's the link to the plans!

Yea it would be too steep and we would rather have those leaning more outwards. Hope you try it! Thank you SO much!
The link to the plans is broken. :(

I clicked the link for the plans and got an error, stating this page does not exist.
Very nice! Glad you've been able to finish hurricane clean-up 👍
Yards are clean, but debris by the roads are not just yet 😅😅
Do you mean 165* angle?
I bought the plans and I set my table saw to 65* and that’s definitely not the angle you have.

Nah WAR EAGLE BABY 💙🧡
When you are giving direction on building your hammock frame you need to give the measurements of each peace of each peace.
We have project plans that give all dimensions, cut list, and material list here!

Buenas noches me podría dar las medias porfavor
Any reason you just didn’t use two 45 degree angles. It would work the same, be easier to cut, and maybe even look better.
All those trees and you build a hammock stand? Now you're just showing off!

You need a slight design change so the dog can get in and out when your not there. Cheers
❤❤❤❤❤
Only Fans has really lost it at this point
I used a handsaw

Blah blah blah.. just show build.. got nothing out of this but add for Ryobi and dog loves hammock
I got enough out of the video to buy the plans and build this in an afternoon. You must be watching it wrong! Good stuff!
