Hello Peggy, really nice to see such a big bowl being designed and created step by step by you. Especially walnut is always something execptional on the lathe. In know that Acks's paste is number one for you - and the results really look promising. Never tried this product myself - using my own "homebrew" pastes (one with grinding particles and another one for polishing) instead. It is always some good piece of evening entertainment to see you working at the lathe - also as you share info like "2 hours of grinding" for such a big bowl. My own project are usually smaller than yours, but makes me happy to see that such a project is also taking you a couple of days to complete - which gives me some indication that I also should spend more time and more care to make and finalize my own projects. Please keep going the way you do and also keep up with explainingy why you do things the way you do it. I already learned that there is no "right" or "wrong" for many things - just individual solutions! Have a good christmas time and take care.

Yes I also use ca glue to fill in cracks, for larger cracks I also add coffee grounds.
