#pantera #walk #reaction - Видеоклипы
The simplest riff and yet one of the most powerful of all time
Yup! Sometimes that repetition is what hits hard.
Not much for a vocal coach to dig into on this one, but bless you for being a good sport and appreciating the song for what it is.
I like that you called him "Phillip"
Pantera is groove metal!
One of the best riffs ever to complement one of the best messages ever.
Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I've been belong?
You can't be something you're not
Be yourself by yourself.
Stay away from me.
Cemetery Gates is a great representation of Phil Anselmo at his best.
this guy did a video on cemetary gates already
I think Pantera songs for a vocal coach to react to would be: Suicide Note 1 & 2 (together), Heresy, or one of the other older ones (The Art of Shredding, etc.)
man I agree, from the most mellow and sad to the baddest ass violent rage, gotta love SN I&II - II has the nastiest groove ever! "cowards only
Try it"
This Love
The art of shredding is underrated in every way it's one of dimebags best moments imo
cementary gates as well
Also Hollow
Pantera were the pioneers of "Groove Metal", but have songs that are "Thrash/Speed Metal", "Death Metal", "Glam/Hair Metal", and more.
I would beg to differ. Pantera is its own category. Much like Rage Against The Machine, Pantera created a genre with a population of exactly one.
I always felt kind if bad for the A&R guy that passed on signing Pantera. He was fired and his career ended at that point. He's probably managing a Taco Bell now...
I've been waiting forever for your next Pantera reaction! Thanks. "Groove Metal"
They started their own genre of metal, "groove metal" 🤘🤘🤘
If you want multiple Dime solos in one songs, check out Floods. There is a glitchy version that reactors always find on RUclips, so maybe play it from Spotify or something?
Floods and The Sleep! Two of his most meaningful solos he's ever released
He called him 'Philip' 🤣 Sub'ing for that, sir... Respect!
You sir do some solid and thorough reactions. If you'd like to hear some of where Phil's voice shines specifically, I would recommend a song like 'The Sleep' or 'Medicine Man' for early-CFH-era pantera, OR 'Suicide Note Part1' and 'Shedding Skin' for later-CFH-era pantera. Honorable mention to the excellent 'Planet Caravan' cover they did.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!!!
Omg lucky!
RIP Vinnie And Dime
Ken you should watch some of Phil's videos these days where he's just talking. His voice is on another level, he's not normal. No one could do what he did. Deepest male voice I've ever heard
and an objectively harmful technique which required vocal chord surgery which is why he sounds the way he does now
@@tattoos9246 Well to be fair he also smokes a shitload of weed.

I saw Pantera 4 times live. I came out of each one bruised, two of them bloody. Best metal pits ever.
they are the for fathers of power groove metal
they are very clear live. i seen them at ozzfest one year i think it was in 99 or 2k, and i was blown away. i swear it sounded like the studio version.
The early to mid 90's were a fantastic time for metal. Pantera were a freight train and their shows were an experience I'm so happy that I was part of, several times in fact, and once had the imprint bruise of a German Para Boot diagonally across my face.
A lot of people now wear those little rubber wristbands to show which gigs/festivals they've been to... we had bruises, hangovers and great memories.
When we lost Dime, our hearts broke. Then Vinnie went to be with his brother and silence reigned where noise and power once occupied the space. That's before we lost Lemmy from Motorhead too, the noise was slowly getting turned down. The metal freight train had lost some of it's impetus, but that's another story.
I have to be careful listening to this song while I'm driving. Before I know it I'm going 20 mph over the speed limit! LOVE the repetitive riff. It's just so entrancing! Favorite Pantera song. Great reaction. :)
Pretty interesting to see you do this song! Phil’s not known for his vocal acrobatics but maintaining that grit that he has for as long as he ha I’m sure has some unique properties. But none the less a great song and great video!
have you heard Phil's stuff on Cowboys from Hell and earlier? I think what he is doing there is far surpasses "acrobatics" you are talking about.
@@opart Clearly he has not.
Ummmm what.....he's one of the most vocally acrobatic people in music.
You never heard of them before this song, to say this bullshit. Phil's voice did a full 180 from "Cowboys From Hell" to "Vulgar Display Of Power".
DAMNIT PANTERA! THIS BEER IS WARM! GET ME ANOTHER ONE!
R.I.P. Dimebag Darrel 🎸🔥🤘
Pantera were the originators of Groove in Metal.
He gets that low, the super-bassy part. His range is almost second to none.
Possibly the most direct song in every way of all time
These guys used to be a glam band. They were makeup, spandex pants, glitter shirts and teased their hair up with cases of hair spray and sang songs called "Hot and Heavy".
Absolutely, the bass and drum drive this song clearing way for the vocals with really a secondary guitar until the solo.
R.I.P. best Metal Brothers ever !
You could go deeper with Phil’s vocals and check out 7songs by superjoint ritual or maybe stone the crow/temptations wings by down.
He’s amazing in both bands and quite different. Unique vocalist….. vaguely in this genre there is Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan) and Mike Patton. Really good balanced abilities
Dude. When you slowed that down, the song got WAY heavy! 😳
Great Reaction!!! I feel it's description should be POWER METAL!! When I'm driving and blaring this song, it makes me feel safe! It gives off this "don't f×c! with me vibe! Makes the listener feel powerful!! That's why they can rage like that and not feel it... until the next day anyway 🤕🤪 Lol! I've been in my own little box too! 📦 Need a concert like this!!! 💥🖤💣🤯🙃 It's therapy 😌 Again, great reaction!
Yes groove metal is the way
there's also a great youtube series called "cooking with phil anselmo" it's a bit old, but always worth a watch ;D
RIP DIME & VINNIE😭 We were supposed to see them the night Dime was murdered. But I was ill. (Organ transplant ) 10 min from my house. It still breaks my heart. Both of them are gone way too soon.
This is my school parties memories ha
Please give your opinion on the 80s sound of Pantera, it's something COMPLETELY different.
Glamtera
The wild 90s. 👍💪🎶💪
Gruß aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Thank you for that WWE announcer intro, made my morning 🌄
The bewitching Trio Halecone/Lauren/Violet stroke again !
3 covers of My Chemical Romance for each channel !
Make your choice , once again you'll not be disapointed haha
Thank you for an interesting reaction Me. Lavinge. Not that much vocal but that's the case sometimes. I want to suggest that you react to a music video that has a LOT of vocal to it. Diana Ankudinova has recently released her version to Elvis Presley's I Can't Help Falling in Love. You have not reacted to her in some time. She has grown in range and power since then. I would love to hear your reaction to this classic song. Stay safe.
Such a fun time watching your reactions always!
On a side note, if I may make a request, would you react to VoicePlay's new song on your channel? They did a cover of Friends on the Other Side, from the Princess and the Frog. And it... well, it's VoicePlay for one, and two... well, just watch it, please. I believe that you will not be disappointed at all.
I think Fade in/Fade out from Nothing More is an awesome song. Acoustic from Abbey road is my favorite version
I kept hearing groove metal but didn't know what it was until someone told me something I understood...ZZ Top mixed with thrash.
Love the WCW reference lol
React to Dancing with the dead by Powerwolf
David Draiman from Disturbed performs this song live with break Breaking Benjamin if you want to see his take on it.✊
So happy that you noticed Dime’s guitar soloing even though it’s not your thang…
En vivo suena igual!! 1998 chile 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Hi!
Classic from Pantera !
Could you please share the name of your headphones ? Thanks !
Yes, that's actual footage. Their shows were true metal shows
Please, react to Luz Gaggi, finalist from The Voice Argentina: Chandelier / Billy Jean / El Farsante. Those 3 performances were her best.
"jimmy superfly snuka"-you know you re old when
Mouth for War!
I’m walking on home, haha!
Have you done any Helloween yet? So many good preformances live and the newest stuff they have all 3 singers when they preforme, How many tears Wacken 2018 or Keepers of the seven keys United Alive are super good.
That was when Phil was hot AF, RIP Dime and Vinnie
Certainly Darrel was from another world!
If you want to see some of Phil's real vocals check out cemetery gates absolutely amazing
Nevermind you already have lol
Hey Ken, Demons are a girls best friend-Powerwolf with video
Wonder what he thinks of the Deftones. Minerva is a good song of theirs to start if anyone hasn't ever heard of the Deftones.
There's another RUclipsr who specializes in Metal vocals, ' Kardavox Academy'. I've produced some wicked sounds following his tips, And I've never sung in my life.
You can also listen to the Version of A7X 👍
You should watch the pantera home videos if you like their music. Cowboys, Vulgar Video, and 3 Watch it Go are really something else, you won't be bored I promise you that
Dime played the evil blues.
Controlled chaos.
If you need more artists to react to you should definetely check out Frog Leap studios. He makes metal covers of all sorts of songs, his videos are super funny and he plays every instrument himself! (Except in concerts obviously xD ) I highly recommend checking out his cover from Adele's hello or from Toto's Africa they are both insanely good
I second this request. Frog Leap Studios is phenomenal. Look at their cover of Dance Monkey. Lots to digest.
I would bet that if you contacted Phil he’d teach you😉
Oh yeah, it takes some time. Phil had already been doing this a long time by that point. i guess a self-taught vocalist like Phil just experiments for years. If it hurts, stop doing it, if it doesn't hurt, keep doing that. People commonly call Pantera's genre "groove metal," but honestly, i don't know what qualifies as groove, exactly. In high school i just enjoyed them alongside Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Sepultura, and Dream Theater. Metal is metal, leave the subgenre labels for the music journalists.
Pssssst. Spiritbox, Rule of Nines, studio vocal one take or even the liquid metal radio live stream.
Pssst - Added!
@@KenLavigne YES!! YESSSSSSSSS!!! You DO love me!!!!!! Hahahhahaa!
pls react Cemetery Gates
You already had me at the sneak peak intro but then you threw out a Superfly Snooka reference!! 💀 ded.
Ken, can you not react on "nomy - can't not help falling in love with you. Will love heat what you thinks about him :)
CHECK THE ALBUM FAR BEYOND DRIVEN PLEASE
Hahaha...at their shows...I was the 440 lb. gorilla in the pit.
You want Phil's vocals start somking 2 packs a day and slowly increase to 5 lol
Pantera is Groove Metal en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groove_metal
Cowboys from Hell is better for melodic vocals if you haven't done it yet. Vulgar Display of Power was my 10th grade soundtrack
day 20 asking pls react to "Stairway to Heaven" cover by First to Eleven, Halocene, Lauren Babic and Violet Orlandi
bo bo bowp bo bo nowp
DOOM CREW BABY!
Phil is just Henry Rollins in a metal band.
It's just like Jimmy Fly Snuka only nobody's girlfriend got beaten to death
Just found your channel and not sure if you have checked it out yet. But it would be fun to see your reaction to pisces by jinjer. You're in for a fun surprise with that song.
Hey Adam! Thanks for the comment, Tatiana blow my mind with her incredible vocal performance in Pisces. She is amazing!!! ruclips.net/video/uoCoT06l_wI/видео.html
@@KenLavigne killer channel, cool to see someone so into the music and open to all types. If I can, one more idea for a song. Nymphetamine by cradle of filth. Was an urban legend about Dani filth the lead singer, having two sets of vocal cords to achieve what he does.
I like Jinjer and Cradle Of Filth, too. Check out the Howard Jones era of Killswitch Engage. 🤟
The guy that "dived" into the crowd below must have injured someone. He literally fell knees first. Poor people below.
I worked for pantera as a lighting tech in 89 and they classified their type of metal as groove-metal.
Pantera is groove metal.
Should checkout Nemophila - Dissension to hear a womans use fry in metal
Can u tell me what u think about vocal from wings malaysian famous rock band , song name DIPENJARA JANJI (wings)
RE.....SPECT.....
The days when people had balls and weren't in fear bullshit that doens't exist
Cowboys from hell next
Second-to-very-few? I guess?
Cemetery gates would of been way better he actually sings in that one haha
Please react to Metallica's The Unforgiven studio version. James's vocals are the best here.
Thanks if you can.
I don’t think you can teach what Phil has. I think some of what he has is partly natural ability that your either born with or not. You can probably get close with enough practice, but I would think that wide of a range with the super highs and lows is probably something you have to be born with. You’re the teacher though so you certainly know better. I’m no expert on the subject, just a Pantera fan.
i think you should listen this bayan by maulana tareq jamel shaheb
###Qayamat Ke Din Nafsi Nafsi Ka Alam | Bayan | By Molana Tariq Jameel Latest###
lmfao
No one sings actual aggression like Pantera. Not the fake, performative bullshit of posermetal like Slipknot. True metal, no bullshit
Be yourself, by yourself, stay away from me!
