  • This video discusses a recent music collaboration a became involved with. I explore some of my expectations and hesitations and how it ended up working out.
This week the video is pretty short so theres no time stamps.

Having trust in your collaborators is vitally important, though finding people you can trust enough to let go can be difficult. Nice to hear you have that with someone, and that something interesting is coming from it. Let us know how it all turns out!

Will do! Thanks for watching. I’ll hopefully get better at letting go haha.

This is my favorite video, but I’m extremely bias

Whenever my gut reaction is to say NO to an idea from a collaborator, that's when I force myself to pause and ask 'why not?' and sit with it. Getting away from your own habits and inclinations often yields fun & better results.

That’s a good way to approach it. It reminds me of a professor I had in school who would always push us to answer “why” we didn’t like a piece of music. Getting specific about it usually ended up making you realize what you did enjoy about it. It’s not a super direct comparison, but your comment made me think of it.
