What? Did I hear that right? Did I find a version of this theme THAT WAS LOOPED PROPERLY? You are my savior. I shall forever worship- Nah, I'm kidding. Seriously though, finding a version that is properly looped is a godsend. I am actually rejoicing right now.
I prefer the original version, especially at 2:15~2:25 with the clinging sound. It actually gives me chills and feels like Zanza doesn’t care anything about life.
@@kachosuffer7 especially since smash already spoils some important characters in Xenoblade, I would see no issue with them revealing the final villain
@Anonymous I actually found a mashup of the two. Sadly, it sounds... off, at least with headphones. It sounds like each side has a lot of one version and a little bit of the other, and vice versa in the ear.
The chanting in this version is a lot more ‘angelic’ and it helps to reinforce the fact Zanza is otherworldly and about to eradicate everything. (Hell, during the battle, he reforms the fabric of the universe itself to help him.) The fact that the chanting is off-tone creates an even bigger disconnect between you and Zanza. Everything else in DE is better I’d say.
Man until Definitive Edition came out I didn’t recognize how muted the piano at the beginning was. Honestly the instrumentation overall just sounds _better_ in that version, but you gotta get your start somewhere I guess
definitely prefer the remastered one mainly because i heard it before. if this one became the way to listen to it beforehand i have no doubt i'd prefer this but alas. also the strings and the piano are both way more pronounced in the new one, which i'll say i prefer

ngl this version is better than the remaster

God, I'm so used to the former loops that now this sounds weird to me.

I noticed that this and the remaster actually loop differently in Definitive Edition
Tragic Decision does this, too, I noticed.
it's a shame this isn't in smash.
Yeah, but it would spoil the bad guy.
Yet again they could do like they did with the mother 3 love theme.
@@cabracadabra_4256 this game has been out for decades, is it really _still_ necessary to spoiler it

The chanting is better in the original, but the DE sounds better in every other department

@Anonymous Scratch that. I found a version that actually works!

I like the piano sound in this version better especially how it comes in better at 0:49 than the new version imo
@@codename618 the combined version is legitimately better than both individually imo
No. This is still way better in every way.

the singer/chanter sounds like a 60 year old italian grandma singing in the Christian choir.
Are u deaf pal?
Ma non dì cazzate
I like the extra kinda, mystical booming effects and stuff this version has, but the stronger piano of the remastered one just puts it over by a mile.

Tell me why!? Is this... really what you want? Alvis!
This version still better thant the Remastered.
Eeehhhh... This still bangs but the remaster hits way too different imo

They butchered the vocals in Definitive Edition. Such a shame.
Just Why
@jacqueshark no way bro, the new one might have worst vocals but it's so much better in every other way
@jacqueshark insane comment
