Annual maintenance on watercraft is key to maintain proper working order. We change the oil and filter on the Yamaha VX Cruiser every year. This PWC runs for roughly 30-40 hours per year, and it's recommended to change oil every year, or every 50 operating hours. The hardest part of changing the oil and filter on the Yamaha VX1100 Jet Ski is getting access to the filter in the bottom of the engine compartment. Prob a noob question how do you know when the ski is level as I’m looking change my oil

If I understand your question correctly, I’m assuming when you say ski, that is referring to the watercraft itself. I don’t think it needs to be exactly level. I just have it on the trailer, and check the oil level on the dipstick. I’m not sure if that answered your question though. Maybe I misunderstood.

you forgot to mention (be careful not to overfill ) new oil has to be on or under E (empty) mark when engine is cold, you have to run engine for like 30 seconds, turn it off and them check oil level..
