Never knew the start and stop trick on my yamaha! thank you! Someone said not to fill the whole with water at all even if you drain it, I kinda want too because the last owner ran salt a lot.

Excellent Video. I have the Same TR-1 Engine on my 16’ VX Limited. Although the Yamaha factory manual said to fog the engine by just spraying into the intake for 3 seconds then running it for 15 seconds, I had no idea it was an updraft intake which isn’t even carrying the fogging oil up into the pistons and cylinders. Will definitely start spraying top down into the cylinders from now on.

The tr-1 is an uptake intake, fogging the intake won’t really get most of it in the motor.

Yep, jetski123 is right. Fogging through the intake lubricates the throttle body which is still useful, but it won’t take care of the engine itself.

I have a '21 VX HO and it only has one start/stop button. Is there a way to do the crank-only trick with this setup?

I just bought a 2007 Yamaha 2007 Waverunner VX 110. 152 Hrs. on it, we are in a cold climate. Mine will need to be WINTERIZED, housed in a cold garage.

Just hold the throttle wide open while you crank… it disable the ignition system… No need to hold the start and stop button…

Some times that works some times it dosnt, it will keep throwing fuel into the engine at that point the fogging oil isn’t as effective.
