The reason Sukuna's first Domain wasn't as impressive as his second showing with mahoraga is because he had FAR less power than he did before but really we can just put it on artistic expression by Gege and thus the animation team for season 1 to not make it something as extravagant or crazy as this showing.
@@ThatSamoanGuy what you are calling a couple of additional shots is months of hard work on some incredible animation sequences that are cut off in this version of the episode. This is an incomplete version.

"The fact that Yuji's body is capable of all of this." Congratulations, you are one of the few people who understand why everyone (including Gojo himself) were fascinated by the fact that Yuji could suppress Sukuna, the fact that he's able to contain that monster is beyond anybody, it's really something out of the ordinary in this world.
@@laylahzs Spoilers Your last statement is not true. Yuji holds a latent potential equal to Sukuna, but he is not as strong as the King of Curses. If holding the same potential as someone else made them all of equal strength then all Six Eyes + Limitless users should be as strong as Gojo as they have the potential to use the CT in the same way/on the same level. But Satoru is likely a lot stronger than the 2nd strongest Six Eyes + Limitless user and that's for a reason. Yuji has the potential, but do you think he'd ever utilize jujutsu on the same level as Sukuna? Sukuna and Gojo are both the the perfect combination of intellect, thinking outside the box, creativity, skill and possessing some sort of body mutation to push their jujutsu on the highest level... and they have this seemingly insatiable hunger for growth/power. ESPECIALLY Sukuna considering he was using Mahoraga's adaptation in a way to push his own CT Shrine to the next level. There's a reason why in 1000 years only Gojo has come so close to Sukuna's strength. Having similar potential to Gojo or Sukuna is only a piece of the puzzle that it is required to reach their level of power.
@@laylahzs That makes no sense as strength and potential are two very different things. You're saying it as if it was obvious that you meant potential when you called Yuji as strong as Sukuna. Yuji having potential equal to Sukuna doesn't guarantee that he'd ever be as strong as the King of Curses. It's like saying Higuruma is as strong as Gojo because it was said that the lawyer was as talented as Satoru. Being as talented or having the same potential doesn't equal the same level of power. In fact, as I pointed out already... Higuruma and Yuji may never get as strong as Satoru and Sukuna despite having the talent/potential. That's all I was saying as your comment is sort of a misinformation. Goodbye I guess.

I hope you guys see this, when sukuna said "you can see my techinque" he literally meant that mahoraga could see his slices, normally characters only react to the slices after they happen. In this fight you can see mahoraga actually dogde the slice right before sukuna said mahoraga could see it. Ie. Mahoraga couldn't see the techinque at the start of the fight and adapted and then saw it and dodged.
I can't remember if this is in the Blu-ray version or the original, but one of my favorite parts is when Mahoraga looks like he's shadowboxing Sukuna but he's really trying to fling his arms in such a way that when the slices hit him, his arms will fly at sukuna instead. It's such a crazy detail.
@@EnadZT Yeah, that's the bluray version, but I agree 100%, Iove the shadow boxing scene, absolutely improved the fight. I love how JJK can be enjoyed at face value, but also have scenes that only increase your overall enjoyment of the show by analysing and dissecting them.

The small details of this series are insane.
Sukuna did that because remember ep 6 and in S1 the conversations with Junpei that Yuji is a Movie Nerd like he loves going to CINEMAS AND HE ALSO ASKED MEGUMI ABOUT IS POPCORN FLAVOUR before watching human earthworm 4 IN EP 6. That made Sukuna curious if the popcorn and soda were actually really good and that's why he wanted to try it out. With all that it's still so great. They still went back and fixed a bunch of the scenes and that's why everybody's talking about the BD version.
The way Japanese studios do seasonal anime is somewhat dumb. Why the hell would you release the season when it’s not completed? Animating episode 16 while weekly watchers are on 5th sounds beyond unreasonable. What you said about hours before the premiere just doesn’t compute in my head.
@@dima10656 Money. You get an IP, you invest as little time and money as possible and need to push out the product as quick as possible to get your money back and earn. Staff gets shafted all the time, they get payed little, have to work insane hours all the time, people are literally sleeping at work, because coming back home would take too long. MAPPA took on a bunch of popular IPs to adapt. Don't remember which titles it was but I read at a point that the crew prepared to do show X was moved to show Y, because show Y had every episode ready at the last moment, so when they actually went to do show X they were already massively behind. However, that's not all studious and even in those studios it's not all productions. I think some of this comes from the times when shows were just constantly coming out. Things like Naruto was released every week, no breaks for years, so it just became standard that you're working on a show while it's airing.
The worst part of Sukuna showing Yuji all of the chaos and death he caused was the fact that Sukuna gave up control just for fun, picking the worst possible moment to show it to Yuji. There was no practical reason, no advantage he could get, he did it because he knew it would absolutely ruin Yuji.
Ragga is basically doomsday from DC but if an attack isn’t enough to kill him he adapts to it That’s why halfway thru the fight he could see the dismantle and cleave techniques
Little bit of context on the adaptation thing: There's some mythical eight headed serpent in Japanese mythology called Yamata no Orochi (Sukuna referenced them when talking about Mahoraga's ability), and from what I know, each time you cut one of its heads off, it would become immune to whatever was used to cut that head off, so you'd have to switch to something new for the next head (just what I've heard). This is how Sukuna was able to figure out adaptation was Mahoraga's ability as he'd heard of something similar. Also Mahoraga was apparently a mistranslation in the manga that carried over to the dub of the series, but the actual Japanese pronunciation is Makora. Also slight spoilers territory: If you're wondering why Sukuna's flame arrow was so powerful in this episode, it's further elaborated on later in the manga that because Sukuna's domain targets both living things and inanimate objects, it destroys buildings and whatnot in the surrounding area along with people. Since this thing is destroying buildings and infrastructure in a 200 meter radius around himself, it's kicking up a lot of dust and debris into the air as his slashes are shredding every inch of ground within his domain. When he pulls out his flame arrow, it causes a reaction similar to a thermobaric reaction (look up flour bombs for a more in depth explanation) where the flame ignites the particles of dust in the air and causes a chain reaction of particles being ignited very quickly, ultimately resulting in everything within his domain's range going up in flames almost instantly. His flame arrow becomes far more potent within his domain, which is why he chose to use his domain despite the fact that Makora had already adapted to his slashes.
Makora is just the Japanese name for Mahoraga is the I think Tibetan or Indian(not sure which province language) name sort of like SonGoku for Wukong but much closer.
I remember watching this for the first time and just sitting in absolute shock and awe. This is one of those episodes where you feel like the world shifts on its axis a bit after viewing it. The animation, despite the horrid conditions MAPPA's crew were under (to the point where they were walking out/complaining on twitter), is amazing. The horror of the devastation caused by Sukuna is immeasurable. And the despair you feel with Yuji seeing and knowing its his fault, indirectly or otherwise, cuts you to the core.
I’ve been waiting to tell you guys this and I’m sure someone has said it already, but the ep where Nanami punches the guy with the luck technique(Haruta Shigemo) he “killed” him like 2 or 3 times lmaooo Also, love the reactions, one of the best on yt. Could possibly be the best. I’m sure others would agree 💪 Ty guys
Btw Sukuna was never worried manga or anime in the manga he actually beat him in like 2 pages they just added a lot more fighting for the anime manga it wasn’t even close I’d say he’s more surprised and excited than anything
Out of all the fights that took place during this arc, Sukuna and Mahoraga’s fight was definitely the best! Not only was the animation 100/10, but their fight was a complete bloodbath. Thousands died due to being caught in the crossfire and the ensuing battle pretty much wiped Shibuya clean off the map
The way JJK and MHA show off feats of power is so different, Sukuna gets an insane scene showing how strong he is destroying part of a city, while a character like AFO destroys an entire island with a casual attack. The two animes have insanely different levels of power
Sukuna getting to cut loose on Mahoraga reminds me of the Clone Wars when Darth Sidious got to cut loose on Darth Maul and Savage Opress just pure madness and sadistic joy.
Mahoraga was defeated by forcing him to hyper adapt to being cut just to instantly get incinerated by his other technique. It forced him from being able to adapt to the fire.
Sukuna stopping to get a popcorn and soda as an act of pettiness is a classic moment for me, but it also reminds me that him knowing what those are, contextually, means that he is actively present in Yuji's mind while he's off watching, like, Human Earthworm 3, and that just really makes me happy.
yessss. in the manga there are even sometimes little bonus pics at the end of chapters of Sukuna sitting around bored while the stuff Yuji's doing is happening in the background
yup remember Sukuna knew about the PHOTO function of the camera of Phone after dicing up both the sisters. He can keep track of all the info and memory of his host/vessel BUT can also choose not to (cause it also is a draining task to go through all that stuff)
21:53 Loved the choice to play specialz during yuji's breakdown since it's written lyrically from villain's pov so it's ironically mocking yuji as he is forced to witness the massacre sukuna committed using his body. Specialz playing over yuji's breakdown was fucking cruel. If you play attention to the lyrics it's so twisted, so dark. The song playing over is almost like Sukuna saying "You are my special, see what I've done, savour it" to yuji . 'Enjoy the moment, let's dance On the frontline of Tokyo, the thriving city Struggle on the verge of giving up Could you mess these up more? Devour evеrything heartily A lifetime of wandеring in a maze Rendezvous, dizziness "You are my special" Sooo after see based this episode what do you think who's will win if sukuna vs gojo? I'm going to assume no because the blu ray, even though there's no additional dialog, it's in sub. So most likely not. Judging by the thumbnail pic, they're using Mahoragas design from when it was first released.
@@LettsReact How about react on it as a sub , because you already know the context of the episode just watching the whole fight animation plus , you will love to experience the japanese perfect voice acting
35:40 megumi using it against pony tail because as the pony tail said with losing that much of blood he will die soon without pony tail do anything , so knowing that he will die megumi just like saying im gonna bring you die with me 😂 megumi didnt know sukuna would save him😅 and destroy the city
33:00 Megumi not using mahoraga with todo please why people think of that🙈 rewind the episode with todo, there is no chant, there is no hand sign, only serious face, he said I'm gonna be serious (he hadn't summon demon dog, elephant, even nue against todo)
Entire shibuya arc happened within 4½ hours btw. So the entirety of shibuya got vaporized in 4½ hours And every major hitter at this point in time besides Yuta and Yuki were like within a city block of each other. Truly peak
Also the sound design for the Sukuna vs. Mahoraga fight was CRAZY good. Really gives you the feeling that these are two divine entities, two natural disasters clashing
So fun fact maharaga is one of twelve divine generals that serve the medicine buddha in the buddhist religion. The hand signs megumi uses in his domain as well as his summoning ritual are associated with the medicine buddha
Fun fact the hand sign sukana uses for his domain expansion Is associated with hell in buddhist religion. So when he's using the technique OPEN It's probably literal hellfire.
I don't know how they came to this conclusion, but Megumi never tried to do the technique with Mahoraga on Todo. He was just angry and was about to treat his battle against Todo seriously, nothing more
i think Megumi doing that hand sign with a lil bit of adversary also shows that he himself UNDERESTIMATES his own 10 shadows specially MAHORAGA. That's why we had 2 scenes where gojo taught Megumi to be more confident about himself first one was s1 ep 23 and then this one. AND TBF we see how TERRIFIYING 10S is when 'HE' ( hope you have read the manga ) does it and uses them .
YOU HAVE GOT TO WATCH THE BLURAY VERSION. The normal version skips half the fight while the bluray version has twice as better animation. Trust me it's SOOOOO MUCH BETTER (Love the content btw❤)
Idk which patreon member keeps saying that episode 16 was unifinished, because it isn't.. It is a specific animation style that removes shading in exchange for fluidity which is not a mistake. This episode was the only one unfinished and vastly different in the blu ray version, everything else in the blu ray just fixes small mistakes in other episodes and removes dimming/ghosting.
FYI, Basically, Sukuna's domain is a Kitchen. It works like this: First, he has to slice all the objects(ingredients) using DISMANTLE and CLEAVE. Then, when it's ready to cook, he opens the FIRE(FUGA).
nah i think they're turning on and off because first well THEY ARE THROWING RUBBLE AT EACH OTHER! means it's knocking down power lines causing electricity problems. SECOND we also witnessed that Anime has done a OWN CHOICE of representing cursed energy leaking/being used around causing lights to flicker (which isn't in manga and is a fantastic choice) wesee this specially with when jogo hits Gojo from behind , when gojo crushes hanami with inifinity and when sukuna and jogo starts here in this fight when malevolent shrine is active the whole power outage situation is happening too with power lines being cleaved and dismantled etc.
Yall have to react to the blue ray version and upload it bc this episode was only like 50 percent complete so please react to and upload the full reaction bc it has more scenes
If my memory serves me right this is the episode the animators at MAPPA worked inhumane amount of hours, leading most of them to have really bad mental health from the stress.
Megumi summoned it against pony tail because he was about to die anyway. Yea its a great thing that you realized it is Yuji's fault because he could have been executed and thousands would have lived.
I know someone has probably already said this but the blueray version of this episode actually even the jogo, megumi & toji fights adds more detail and u can better grasp what is going on. But especially for this fight it adds alot more detail. U don't have to react to it on YT, but i think its a worthwhile watch. This was an unfinished episode due to poor working conditions at mappa ( i think)
12:54 fun fact ... He was not supposed to be that big or becoming that big, the animators just overexaggerated for the action sequence... For his true size: he's basically big like the Hulk

it’d be cool to see you guys react to dan da dan
This is so true. I want them to react to DandaDan so bad. The videos would be sooooooo funny.
@@reggiepierson3255 they should've reacted to dandadan from the beginning when it was premiering!!!
Yeah they have it on Thursdays
I hope
I agree with you iş amzing show and funny to şee❤
Ragga is basically doomsday from DC but if an attack isn’t enough to kill him he adapts to it
That’s why halfway thru the fight he could see the dismantle and cleave techniques
Doomsday Is much Better except.
SWOOP BIG RAGA THE OPP STOPPA HAS ENTERED THE FUNCTION
Sukuna: Wtf? Who tf let THIS 🥷🏾 in the function? 🤨
Also slight spoilers territory:
If you're wondering why Sukuna's flame arrow was so powerful in this episode, it's further elaborated on later in the manga that because Sukuna's domain targets both living things and inanimate objects, it destroys buildings and whatnot in the surrounding area along with people.
Not to mention that it's stated that those dust and particles contain explosive curse energy themselves.
(At 20:05)
Nanami: *Now* you have MY permission to die.
Sukuna: Wait, so I can kill him now?
Nanami: …Of course.
I’ve been waiting to tell you guys this and I’m sure someone has said it already, but the ep where Nanami punches the guy with the luck technique(Haruta Shigemo) he “killed” him like 2 or 3 times lmaooo
Also, love the reactions, one of the best on yt.
So just for you know sukuna was never afraid but very fascinated and impressed he is testing out mahoragas abilities throughout the fight.
Kenny with the spot on prediction about Sakuna and Mahoraga
Out of all the fights that took place during this arc, Sukuna and Mahoraga’s fight was definitely the best! Not only was the animation 100/10, but their fight was a complete bloodbath. Thousands died due to being caught in the crossfire and the ensuing battle pretty much wiped Shibuya clean off the map
The way JJK and MHA show off feats of power is so different, Sukuna gets an insane scene showing how strong he is destroying part of a city, while a character like AFO destroys an entire island with a casual attack. The two animes have insanely different levels of power
Sukuna: Roses are red, I got the trap on lock, he aint got no hands, so watch Big Raga get ROCKED!
7:50 different words have been used, he didnt say that he would pursue Gojo he sayed that Jogo should have burned everything until he reached Gojo
16:26 Domain Expansion: Trap House Kitchen
Give that Raga the work.
Now for peak part 2 to finally commence.
'Enjoy the moment, let's dance
On the frontline of Tokyo, the thriving city

Could you mess these up more?
Devour evеrything heartily
A lifetime of wandеring in a maze
Rendezvous, dizziness
"You are my special"
Sooo after see based this episode what do you think who's will win if sukuna vs gojo? This is from interview JJK author Gege Akutami loved to troll.
Q: Sukuna's taken out quite a lot of strong
characters, just how do you plan on having him
lose?
A: Who said Sukuna will lose?
Please I am begging you to watch the blue ray version of this fight, and for your concerns about the no dub version, there’s almost no talking in it, MAYBE 25 seconds worth of talking and I would love to see your reactions to people explaining what happened in the fight
i hope that they watched the bluray version of this episode
same
I'm going to assume no because the blu ray, even though there's no additional dialog, it's in sub. So most likely not. Judging by the thumbnail pic, they're using Mahoragas design from when it was first released.
@@raphaelbad100 dub blu ray wasn’t out/isn’t out, and recording bluray is very difficult, we will go back and watch the bluray version some time tho!
@@LettsReact 🤜
@@LettsReact How about react on it as a sub , because you already know the context of the episode just watching the whole fight animation plus , you will love to experience the japanese perfect voice acting
I’ll just say…..Your predictions are amazing
The Blu-ray version is worth the watch. Definitely check it out. Time for pain.
15:16 Mahouraga grew gills to adapt to being drowned in water. 😮
Ray Chase had bills to pay
Pic of the king of curses as a chef he uses dismantle in cleave to prepare his ingredients
Kenny is a GENIOUS for what he said about Mahoraga. I won't speak further though for potential spoilers. Bravo Kenny. 👏👏👏
(At 9:20) Is he "backsprinting" up the skyscraper?!
Idk if they noticed but at 11:20 maharaga was swimming up the building not climbing it
35:40 megumi using it against pony tail because as the pony tail said with losing that much of blood he will die soon without pony tail do anything , so knowing that he will die megumi just like saying im gonna bring you die with me 😂 megumi didnt know sukuna would save him😅 and destroy the city
33:00 Megumi not using mahoraga with todo please why people think of that🙈 rewind the episode with todo, there is no chant, there is no hand sign, only serious face, he said I'm gonna be serious (he hadn't summon demon dog, elephant, even nue against todo)
I was waiting a week for this one, props to the animators on this one, I watch this episode to hype myself up for the day
Sukuna: You are my Special
the random meme cuts in the editing is so funny i love this
Montana and Kenny: We don’t think Mahito has done enough….
Us : 👁️👄👁️
The next two episodes, they tried to break Yuji down but They'll never break him never break him down
You need to find the blue ray version of this. There’s 8 extra minutes and it’s insanely better.
you guys should react to the blu-ray version... the blu-ray shows the entire fight at a better quality
That time Sukuna low diff’d the thing that killed the last Gojo 😂
Well Sukuna was the one who done tho but point still stands
The last gojo is objectively much weaker than current gojo
@ lmao doesn’t really matter does it 🤣🤣
@@ProHero86 it does actually cuz of the context of what you said tho lmao, nice try tho
Ch 236 guys....how many remember that
Entire shibuya arc happened within 4½ hours btw.
So the entirety of shibuya got vaporized in 4½ hours
And every major hitter at this point in time besides Yuta and Yuki were like within a city block of each other.
Truly peak
Malevolent Kitchen lets go
"Shrine" is the actual correct translation.
I've been so excited to see your reaction to this one, one of the best JJK eps.
@@lmaobroz9901 indeed
He was just angry and was about to treat his battle against Todo seriously, nothing more
People misinterpreted the scene.
i think Megumi doing that hand sign with a lil bit of adversary also shows that he himself UNDERESTIMATES his own 10 shadows specially MAHORAGA. That's why we had 2 scenes where gojo taught Megumi to be more confident about himself first one was s1 ep 23 and then this one.
AND TBF we see how TERRIFIYING 10S is when 'HE' ( hope you have read the manga ) does it and uses them .
Note this episode is unfinished and it’s still so amazing
YOU HAVE GOT TO WATCH THE BLURAY VERSION. The normal version skips half the fight while the bluray version has twice as better animation. Trust me it's SOOOOO MUCH BETTER
(Love the content btw❤)
Hope they watched the blue ray version
Sukuna in his head with the boombox ready to play that intro, foul 😂
I’ll never forget watching this for the first time.
The ability of his was illustrated with two knifes just fyi
please react to the Bluray version, its dubbed as well on nyaaland
9:09 He was actually talking about the popcorn, he hates anything other than human flesh
13:03 Lights are turning back on because people are waking up to the sound of a train cart being rammed through a nearby building.
nah i think they're turning on and off because first well THEY ARE THROWING RUBBLE AT EACH OTHER! means it's knocking down power lines causing electricity problems.
Make sure to check out the Extended version of this fight!!!
Blu-Ray version has a lot of extra scenes
There was no fear or nervousness on Sukuna throughout this exchange by the way. Yall need to fix that interpretation before future events.
Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga
I think you should watch Blu Ray version because it incomplete
IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE
Yall have to react to the blue ray version and upload it bc this episode was only like 50 percent complete so please react to and upload the full reaction bc it has more scenes
crazy that it gets better
Is tbis reaction going to involve the blue ray version
If my memory serves me right this is the episode the animators at MAPPA worked inhumane amount of hours, leading most of them to have really bad mental health from the stress.
This fight was peak
Megumi summoned it against pony tail because he was about to die anyway.
Yea its a great thing that you realized it is Yuji's fault because he could have been executed and thousands would have lived.
unfortunately we won't see anything sukuna/gojo related until probably the year 2030
is the description under the video saying his name is "Magumi" a typo or is it a joke on Mahoraga turning the name Megumi to Magumi?
Oh neat...they fixed it.
9:12 The popcorn was disgusting not the situation just to clear that out
Spot on Kenny 😂😂
I know someone has probably already said this but the blueray version of this episode actually even the jogo, megumi & toji fights adds more detail and u can better grasp what is going on.
But especially for this fight it adds alot more detail.
U don't have to react to it on YT, but i think its a worthwhile watch.
This was an unfinished episode due to poor working conditions at mappa ( i think)
12:54 fun fact ... He was not supposed to be that big or becoming that big, the animators just overexaggerated for the action sequence... For his true size: he's basically big like the Hulk
You guys should react to the blue ray version of the fight!
