Thank you awesome video! I wanted to try and transfer the pictures of my old folks. your channel was extremely useful. glad you made this video! keep it up!!!
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to test all those. One note to anyone buying a generic 18 in 1 card reader... Test them on a card you don't care about. One I bought smoked my card 😡 and then stopped working all together. (Ahhh the joys of knockoff garbage)
Hi, I recently bought a Sony CyberShot DSC P50 and it has one of those older purple Sony memory cards and it doesn't work when I plug it from my camera to my laptop. So I was wondering would a multi card reader work for my Windows 11?
hi! i got a canon a540 and it came with a 16 mb multimedia card and im not sure what card reader can be used with it to get the photos off of it-do you have any suggestions?
I have an old Sony handicam DCR- TRV11E that I have bought a memory stick adapter for - I’m wondering can I put in a SD card in and it will work or is it too big for the camera ?
You can put a micro SD card into an unbranded memory stick adapter to convert the physical size. The TRV-11 will probably not read anything above 256mb. If it is capable to record video to memory stick it will only be 320x240 screen resolution at best. It's primary form stills.
My grandmas old camera uses a different kind of cable and not the usb mini, I need one that is quite wide and much more thin? Do you have any idea what cable that would be ?
i actually found that cable somewhere in my house and I tried connecting and the camera goes into USB MODE normal but I don't see anything going on in my laptop. its a Window 11 help
Hi I have just tried my DSC P73 which is close to your P71 and it doesn't work on win 10 or win 11. The Sony card reader that I mention in the video does work with both said operating systems.
@@RetroGadgetMan thanks for attempting and taking time to test it. I just hold on into the memory card until I can find another way. thank you for trying
I have a sony cyber shot dsc w110 with a sony memory stick pro duo. I am aware that windows 10 and after couldn’t read ms pro duo, so I tried transferring the files by connecting the camera with my computer (with windows 11) and the drive was empty even though photos are still visible in the camera. Does this mean that windows 10 and over will never be able to detect content in ms pro duo even by connecting camera with usb cable?
Hi it's not the memory stick itself that they cannot read. Its the fact that there is no driver support for most off the older cameras. In this video I mention which card reader you need. I am not sure why you can't see the pictures in the computer. Is the camera showing up as a drive letter? Are you selecting that drive letter.
Hi I just tried both models of the DSC-f505 and neither of them work with Win 10 or 11. The Sony card reader I mentioned in the video does work with both said operating systems.
So cool that you are never afraid to try these gadgets out and see if they work and tinker with them.. !!! That memory stick mouse is prety cool

Thanks. Unlucky about the card but a good point to remember.

The camera itself is a card reader. Plug it into your pc with the usb cable. Windows or Mac os may recognise it as a hard drive.
@@RetroGadgetMan it unfortunately didn’t show up, is there anything else i can do? thank you sm
@@zainabiqbal1781 in that case you will need a card reader. I talk about the one that worked for me in this video.

If you type in on Google "usb types" it will show you images of all the different types of usb cables. Then you can identify it.
oh and I got one more question. the cable being used in the first camera sony is it the mini usb? I wanna make sure before I buy it
