I used a 128GB microSD with a MicroSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter on my PSP Phat model. Inserted it into the system and formatted with the PSP, works great.
I recommend buying one of a slot and buying a memory of 128 and that's it. Those dual slot adapters are sometimes great but sometimes they make you throw it away. And more for its quality..
It's good to see people still putting up tutorials on the psp homebrew scene! It's hard to find quality videos now a days especially with modern problems and solutions in hd no less! I'm having trouble running emulators on my sd card, while the emulators run just fine on a regular pro duo memory stick. Do you think the sd card has a problem or the psp has problems running it off an sd card? Everything else like ctf themes, psx games and ISO files work fine though. It's just the emulators that don't work.
I had that duo adapter with photo fast read on it. It works on my psp using 2x8gb micro sd cards. Though my micro sd cards are of different brand, it still works

Having same issue. I bought 4 different adapters, tried all kinds of different micro sd cards that have been fat32 formatted and still nothing. Only 128gb micro sd cards format. Nothing bigger.
Reason why 128GB did not work for the dual slot is that some of them only support 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. Make sure to check the product specs before buying. :) No need to download a separate formatter. It is the same when you right-click and format as you would any USB thumbdrive.
i cannot find another dual 128gb supported adapter on amazon and it's pissing me off to no end. i had no problem with older models but now i feel like breaking out the fucking TAPE

I bought the photofast cr-5400 on amazon and it just came in today and the issue I have is I have 1 128gb micro sd working perfectly in slot 1, but no matter the format whether just windows or Fat32 formator the 2nd card will not work. I was going for the 256gb maximum but apparently this card holder doesn't support it or something of the sort. May just stick with 120gb until I can find another brand that sorts this issue out entirely. I don't wanna chance buying wrong again and wasting another $9 on a system I am using as a hobby project. Idk.. Shall see.

I also installed the custom firmware from your other tutorial. Any idea why my psp might not be reading it? @@JohnDuraSSB To the best of my knowledge, the limit for PSP is 256GB. If you want to use a 512GB SD card, it might be worth getting a hacked Vita with Adrenaline and an SD2Vita.
@@cummywummiez theres too many good games. even japanese games have been converted to iso files and most of the time its in english. good games have 1.5g of info. theres over 2500 psp games. alot good. also psp and vita play ps1 , nes, snes, all gameboy games very well. also sega master genesis etc. also plays movies and music and pics.

I think by default it's select + start together, but you can change it by going to the Settings > Input > Hotkey Binds > Menu Toggle Gamepad Combo. Here you can make it whatever you want I changed mine to L + R
Troll Stars Yes it works with 1TB I saw a guy with 1TB working card in PSP and that card was completely visible by PSP system, but I don’t remember the brand of the card but it’s better to test different brands because some of the cards may not work.
Just so u know the higher the memory u go with, the slower the boot times and cache times will be on ur PSP. Anything higher than 64GB card makes the system noticeably slower in boot times and such. If u don’t care about that though, then get whatever size you want.

...no matter what the size indicated is, you can never get the *entire* amount. There's always some space occupied for system files or whatever. So a 64 GB card only really has 57-59 GB that's usable.
I have one PSP 1001 which has an FrmWre(1.51 or so) and so is impossible to read Micros' SD without updating it. I am trying to update it to 6.61 FIRMWARE but I can't because is not reading any memory stick I insert to it, I've tried 64 GB 16 GB With adaptor Pro Duo and it still don't read it. The only Micro SD it has read so far is the original 32 Megabytes SONY VERSION. I guess my only savior is buying an ORIGINAL Sony 1GB PSP MEMORY CARD just to solve this problem, almost 100$ spent in just buying and trying different SD cards+adapters just for it to not work at the end. I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter~~~~~

Mine came up by default after I did the custom firmware, but if you have Autoplugin installed there is a plugin called: "Shellbat by nowrep vr10" it says battery percent in status bar. That might get you what you want. If for whatever reason after you install it your vita doesn't boot up you can hold L while you power the system on and it will boot disabling your plugins. Then you can go back in and disable the plugin.

Well, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and you need to format it. Not all cards will be accepted.

Roshan Bagga an easier way to do this is just buy a mini-b usb cable and hook it up to your pc/mac and transfer files that way instead

Why is your PSP on firmware 1.51?
Tip: put a tiny bit of super glue on the duo version to make it sturdy
