- It was our final day in Bonita! Thank you Kevin and Mel, we will be seeing you on Saturday.
As you can see, I played with rocks in this garden. The polished jade stone really shines! Are you a fan of polished stone topdressing?

I am a 16 year old boy living in the Pacific Northwest and your videos always make my day. I wish I could see some of your works in person but seen as I live in such a cold state that would likely never happen. Because of your videos I started getting into succulent care and now own 4 succulent 2 of which are sempervivums and the other 2 are Echeveria I have had them for quite a few months now around 8 months and a few aloe Vera plants a couple cacti and a lithops that is somehow flowering. Even in my climate I have somehow managed to keep my succulents alive. I wish I could expand my collection but that would be unlikely for a few years due to a very tight budget. Thank you for your amazing videos they always bring a smile to my face and make me very hopeful to my future in succulent care
I used to lived there, Bonita 22yrs ago...And love your Channel Laura. 😍
You guys deserve a recognition from RUclips. Love from Australia
Lol. ‘Buying crap at the store”. Love you Laura! 😂
lol I thought that was funny too!
Laura, many thanks for encouraging us 👍🏻🌹
Laura you make me laugh! "thank you for buying crap at the store" love you!
Yes best video and favorite rework garden. Especially by the golfer. AMAZBALLZ!!
You and your team are so amazing! What a wonderful talent! I love succulents and have a bunch but only in containers because I live in Connecticut and it's to cold for them already! I want to live in your climate
That's a very good episode!!! Everything is so pretty!
Stunning! I love it. I wish I had a big property so I could plant all those gorgeous succulents.
Second time watching it. Love the renovation!!! It's so beautiful and neat now
You are a garden artist Laura, I always love watching your designs. So fabulous.
Thank you!!!
You have created a masterpiece.
The makeover looks stunning..👍
Loved every moment of this video! Great work DFS team!
That polished green jade rock is stunning! So nice to see just that color contrast.
Beautiful work as always! But I do always get jealous being in a zone 9a because a lot of those plants won't over winter here if we get a bad cold snap.
Try living in Canada ( Wink)
You and your crew did a fantastic job! I’m so jealous you have the climate to have succulent gardens outside!😂 I can only wish!!
I LOVE watching you from South Africa. This is your best ever episode!! Please can we see more of how you work.
Those aloes are gorgeous!
All the little gardens around the pool just look amazing!!
Everything looks amazing! Could watch your video’s for hours.❤️❤️❤️
Wow Laura. Just beautiful 😍🙌🏼. You are so talented!
As always, amazed and entertained! You have a lovely signature!
Hi Laura and team DFS. What a transformation. So much to see it looks great. Funny enough i picked up a couple of echeveria today. One of them happens to look very much like the green one you planted without a name, the one i picked up was called an Echeveria Golden Glow; It has spoon shaped leaves, just a thought.
Thanks!
mic drop! art indeed
Very inspirational video as always, lot of love, likes and respect ✊ . Your video today is just one day prior to our biggest Indian festival, DIWALI, so wishing you and your family happy and prosperous Diwali 🙏🙏
wow amazing! youre really an artist!
So much to see.
I have been collecting material for the master class. I'm ready when you are.( well maybe not all the way)
I love your work Laura! Hello from Reno, NV!
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Love your 'succulent dog's stuff. Do you think Bentley might be on a hat?
Loved it! What a treat 😊
love the signature ribbon on the specimen garden! I really love all your videos and you have opened my eyes to the importance of rock work!! do you have go-to rock ribbon color patterns you use to highlight the succulent ribbons??
Loving these long videos 😉
Gorgeous!! 👏
Beautiful areas!!
Рука мастера видна!!))
I think the big green one is an echeveria Yamatoren.
Hey, Laura. I’m a Chula Vista local and huge fan. Unfortunately, the mealybugs are coming out of the woodworks. Can you recommend a systemic I can use on my Aloes?
I like Bayer tree and shrub. I also recommend Ortho home defense
Laura, I live in Connecticut and I want to do a small outside installation in the spring. Other than sempervivums, what can I use ( specifically) that will stay through winter?
We measure the snow in feet not inches 🤣☃️
There is one youtuber in the New England area. I believe there are a few cactus you can use. I am in NW PA and I looked at Mountain Crest Gardens and went to the hard succulents and then filtered by zone. That was really helpful. It really is hard finding good plans for us in the colder climates though. I am planning on doing semps and a few other things then I'm putting pots in the ground for the softer succulents for spring through fall then bring them in for winter. Hope I gave you some ideas.
@@Ristina81 yes it's Iza she actually doesn't live too far from me. I think actually what I'm going to do is even plant some echeveria in the ground but then just dig them up when it gets colder out period or even plant the pots in the ground like you said. I'm going to have to do some more research on the ground cover sedums and then if I have to cover them with shade cloth and mulch then so be it. It's not fair 😢😢😢 lol
@@janetac1738 I know. The more I watch these awesome people with their succulents in California, the more envious I get. I want an awesome tapestry too! I guess we just have to work more with rocks and other things.
@@Ristina81 yeah I know what you mean it's like this
Welcome to my rock garden oh look there's a sempervivum 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I used to live in california, too! in 2017 that's when I got into succulents but I was never into them like I am now. I could kick myself 😠
@@janetac1738 LOL You moved to the wrong area then! LOL I was never in a good position to have succulents when I lived other places bc I was military and moving every few years. I normally just do a vegetable garden since moving to PA about 11 years ago. I am also just starting my succulent journey. I figured I am happiest in my garden surrounded by green, so I started this year collecting plants and succulents and cacti. I started small and now my collection has exploded. I have some semp plugs coming hopefully this week that I am going to overwinter inside. Next year will be busy with planting outside and figuring out what to put out there in pots and what not.
Thku looksgreat
Hey Laura, I'm wanna group all my succulents together in bigger pots cause I'm limited for space but idk which ones would pair well with one another. Is it summer growers/winter growers in separate pots? Or does it have more to do with the thickness of the leaves and the sunlight requirements of each plant?
Hi Laura, I tried to copy you and put black lava rocks and my succulents starting dying. They are not doing well. Have you came across that issue with using black lava rocks?
Hello from Australia. Is the green plant perhaps a Golden Glow?
What species is the large aloe by the golfer statue?
Was wondering with the wet look lacquer do you apply on the pebbles before laying or after and how do you apply them? do you have to spray on them? thanks
Apply with a sprayer after you complete your design.
Thanks Laura love your channel ❤️from Perth Australia 🇦🇺
Poolside garden was choice.
when you use the wet look 2000, what happens when you need to pull things out or re-set things? Is it easy to undo the rocks? I am in the Northeast US and I am looking at doing an outside succulent garden and with the trees around would be nice to make sure my stones and plants stay in place when using a blower.
It breaks apart easily with a little effort
@@ronicasdesignsinspire6088 I thought she said it helps keep the rocks and pebbles in place? It doesn't do this? I was looking at some cacti at Lowes and I noticed that their top dressing was glued down. That's not what I am looking for, but something to help keep them in place so they don't blow around in the Noreasters and winters here in northern PA.
It keeps it in place nicely but if you want to dig it up or remove it it can be done.
@@ronicasdesignsinspire6088 thank you for explaining this.
What is a best rock to use to make a dry river look?
Actual river rock in different sizes. One day, we’ll walk you through it.
I wish I could plant on the ground
Ech. ‘Lemon Lime’ @ 8:05. 😊
Does anyone else get really nervous whenever Laura goes anywhere near a pool? 😂
There were a couple of close calls😜
For a moment I thought you started making videos in spanish.
