Just love the comments here about "the girl" or "the weird girl" ..... wise up misogynistic dummies -thats Laura Jurd, tehe trumpet player!
    I hear Miles Davis here.

It's not often I discover new music I like these days. There's some fantastic trumpet here and those synths in the second half felt very progtastic!

The looser, funkier vibe is exactly what I hoped for in the second album. I'm hearing echoes of Nils Petter Molvaer, 70s Herbie Hancock and, weirdly, even the jazzier bits of Gong. Looking forward to hearing it all live at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival!

Definitely feel some Metheney. Good stuff! Autumn Sunday afternoon walk vibe, with our without the (well-done) video.

This is an excellent track and a well thought out video, but everyone in the band looks about 12 years old, including Laura! Imagine what they'll be like in 20 years time! =:^)

Why is the girl suddenly missing the mouthpiece to her trumpet 2 min in?

It's a new embouchure technique, where you just put the whole mouth pice in your mouth.

That was "The Dinosaurs" which was a supergroup with members of Hot Tuna, Quicksilver Messenger, GD amongst many others. They formed in the early 80s
