I'm absolutely loving seeing the rental possibilities in my favorite little town. I've been traveling to Playa del Carmen for 35 years. The best food I've ever had at an amazing price was about 6 blocks away from all the hustle & bustle of 5th Ave. I look forward to seeing what you check out next
I know that these places will be gone by the time i arrive, but it's still great info on whan 'can' be found with a little effort and exploring. Nice job once again. 😎👍
Nice find RopeMonster. From what you showed in the video, the Apt looks very clean for starters, which is a huge bonus. Thank you for the heads up......................Cheers!!
Thanks very much for this video. It is incredibly valuable for my wife and I as we are hoping to move down in the next year or so if some other family things fall into place. A question for you. Are you familiar with a coffee roaster off 5th Ave. at about 105th called Cafe Kaawa? Great chiapas coffee (Pluma). I heard you mention that flavor somewhere in a previous video. We took home 12 bags the last time we were down. They serve their coffee in a few of the restaurants around town. Keep the real estate videos coming and thanks again! VERY well done!
Many thanks for the feedback!! Yes, I walk by that spot sometimes on the way to Punta Esmeralda and love to stop in there...could never remember the name though, appreciate you sharing that :)
I know some guys who do "Upwork" and also some of the various apps to teach language lessons but I don't have many of the fine details as I've never used those. Thanks for watching!
American here, looking at places in Mexico to live in just to be closer to the US as i just came from living in Thailand for 3 years. Stumbled on your videos. Hopefully you do a live stream where we can ask you questions, good quality videos man
I love these videos, you think it’s possible to show homes or apartments for sale instead of renting? I know it’s a different process either way but I would love to see some option as of recent (: thanks so much!
Am I the only human on planet earth that actually prefers electric stoves? 😅 Not that I like cooking by ANY means, but I used to hate using gas stoves when I lived in the DR. I'm afraid and paranoid of those explosive gas tanks! Lol. Thanks for this very informative video. It sure helps to give us a good idea of what is out there!
Curious to know about driving to Playa del Carmen. I will be leaving Calgary Alberta in October and driving with my dog so wondering about vehicle insurance and if i need to complete any paperwork beforehand to cross into Mexico to stay for 180 days. Thanks :)
Absolutely Lyndsie great question! I recently filmed a video regarding exactly that but had my phone stolen so I lost the footage of the gentleman, Jay, whom I interviewed on the subject. I'll be starting from square one on that but it should be forthcoming!
Hello, I'm going there next month. Would you be able to do a video showing how to get from ADO to the Playacar Mayan Ruinas Xaman-Ha Google maps says it's a ten min walk I'm just not sure how to get around from the beach
Can you also talk about the kind of neighborhoods from the safety perspective for couples, single females. Are there different levels of neighborhoods like in the USA like high end and low end?
Hi, while You live in PDC could you recommend good beach bar to visit? We heard good things about FUSION, but it looks like it's temporary closed, so we need some recommendations. 😊
I most certainly will when I get the chance! I’m on a little trip at the moment but when I’m back in PDC that’s top of the list for sure! Thanks for watching and for the feedback 😎🏝️🇲🇽
I have been doing research because I am looking to retire in a few years. I read that the closer you are to the beach, your electric bill will be more. The area is divided in zones. Your rent may be cheap but the electricity is not. Do you find that to be true?
There are zones for sure, but it’s not directly related to how close you are to the beach. I lived a block from the beach and my rent was dirt cheap, but I was in La Colonia Colosio… much cheaper than Centro. That neighborhood begins to the NORTH of Ave CTM. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! This neighborhood has cheaper electricity: ruclips.net/video/p8jtuPjHAaA/видео.htmlsi=92j3YOffzB1idwUg
both have pros and cons but the seafood, charm of the cobblestone streets and older architecture/cathedrals and also movie history all go to PV. the sunsets also go to PV of course. Playa for the most part wins when it comes to quality of the beaches and walkability, but both are such beautiful places and I've lived in both! Thanks for the great question. Also...No sargassum issue in PV but also no cenotes! Lots to consider.
@@jamestorres4464 I agree that it’s on the high side for MX and my apartment in PDC is less than half that amount, but sadly, in Centro, a lot of expats are paying WAY more than that. I’m trying to demonstrate normal price ranges in hopes that people stop grossly overpaying. I met an older Canadian lady there who told me she paid $4,000 usd for a 1 bedroom place and it didn’t even include utilities 😭😭😭. Thanks for checking out the video 🇲🇽❤️
@@theropemonster I was looking in Centro and on fb marketplace. Eventually found a decent one out in colosio for 9500 by chance. They have more units if you want to make a video on it, or if anyone else is interested?
Keep the real estate coming. Catie and I would love to be there soon!!
Awesome, will do! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for doing this. Hopefully, those numbers and locations will be available next spring. Thanks for taking the time.
My pleasure Walt! It's always worth walking down and taking a look in that area as there are frequently signs up. Thanks for watching!

Awesome video. Perfect format. Super informative 👌
Thanks Jeremiah. I really appreciate your feedback!

any time Adriana! :)

Thanks my friend!! Looking for signs way up on the higher balconies and walking down dead end streets you'll sometimes find the overlooked places too!
@@theropemonster good advice as always 👌 we look forward to meeting you in person. Buena suerte en todas las cosas.
Thanks for the video. We just returned from Playa and loved it. Definitely need more apartment rental videos
Great video. Keep it up king 👑
Thanks! Will do!

Great to meet you the other night at San Lucha! Hope you are well. The videos are awesome. Keep going and take care!
You guys were a lot of fun to hang out with Melisa! Glad to have met you both as well! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for the info. Subbed.

You take away a lot of anxiety about looking to live there when I early retire soon
Thanks for the feedback!
Even though we are not in need of a rental we really enjoyed this video thank you so much...viv

Centro and the south part of La Colosio are much safer for solo females than the part north of Playa 88 for sure.

😊
Maybe try Sandbar Beach Club or Inti! Thanks for watching :)
Great vid, would you consider doing some more upscale rental videos as well, thanks for the tip on the using a Mexican phone number

Do you take Zelle or Venmo?? 😉 (just kidding... maybe) fabulous job! It is a true gem. Thank you so much for all your hard work.
Thanks for the kind words, so sweet!
There seems to have really affordable Airbnb's for like $20 a day with a rooftop pool and other amenities , might consider that instead of a lease
Those tend to disappear during high season but yes, take advantage of those cheap short terms whenever possible!
Maybe it's a sign ... 303 was the area where I grew up
Could be!! Would you be ok with the stairs? Thanks for watching man!

That’s a great price for that 2 bedroom. How are the prices in Zazil Ha? We really like that area and hope to rent in that area.
I'm not all that familiar with that area but I can look into it! Thanks for watching :)
@@theropemonster I believe it’s 40th to CTM
What about 1 small to medium size dog? Could that be negotiable? She's about 8kg, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Hey RopeMonster, my hubby and I are in PDC and would love to meet up. 🎉❤
Hey Carol! Would love to, how long are you guys in town? I’m in CDMX for awhile
‼️💯🔥👍
800 dollars a month is super expensive, it's almost what poor people pay in Seattle per month

I've been looking for the past 2 weeks haven't had great luck finding good deals.

Are the neighborhoods set up by colonias. Are there private colonias?
Yes and Yes! Playacar for example is a gated colonia and isolated from random street dogs and passersby.
I am looking for a 3 or 4-bedroom house in a walkable area.
Im hoping to look at a 3 bedroom soon in Centro!
@@theropemonster That is what I am looking for. You can be my real estate agent.
@@theropemonster Let me know if you find any.
I have a cane corso so that is going to be problematic
First floor apartment for sure! I’ll be covering a few of those soon. Thanks for watching
hate mirror image videos.
Thanks for watching despite the two scenes filmed that way 👍
This is totally uninformed and no clue what is happening locally
At the time of recording the info was accurate 💯
O sea, no pides comisiones ni nada... pero aceptalo si alguien lo ofrece!
