Craft kit
Omg the memories of my childhood! I was born in 77 so I was the perfect age all through the 80’s to enjoy all the 80’s toys. I still have a lot of them in my art room. I have my rainbow brite and sprite dolls, I have my strawberry shortcake lunch box and thermos plus a few original dolls. Do you remember keypers? I have those too .i think I’m going to go reminisce now with my 80’s toys. Awesome video girl 👍🏻, loved it !
plz do craft kit
Hi sara i love your craft videos......which brand of pencil colours you can used in this video .....
So fun!
I had this exact kit when I was little, I drove my mom crazy because I loved it so much and wanted to make them all the time.
That is such a cute kit! I found some Disney princess shrinky dink’s from like 2002 when I was cleaning out my craft room, maybe I’ll have to make them 😂 Also did anyone actually like Roseart?
PS I’d love to see a Create this Book video next Friday!
Megan Weller I love your videos and I agree that she should do create this book 📚
Megan Weller yes!
Roseart products have never been great quality.
i love your videos notice me!!!!
Megan Weller no, no one did. Roseart was the worst part of my childhood as a poor child.
These are so cute!! And my childhood ahhh love it. That unicorn is my favorite :D
I had so many of these kits as a kid of the 80’s! I loved the ones where you would place sprinkle looking bits of plastic in metal framed pieces and you’d melt them in the oven. They were then attached to a suction cup and you could put them on the window.
This is giving me childhood flashbacks...and I LOVE it!!! Rainbow Brite was one of my favorite shows as a kid, along with Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake!
Great video! I'm really old, so I remember playing with Shrinky Dinks in the 70's and we had to trace the images (they weren't pre-printed on the plastic). And I still have the colored pencils!
I was born in 1980, so even if I never played with these character toys... I have an older sister, so I have seen them before. Total plast from the past. I used to watch The Muppet Show in the mornings when dropped of at my babysitter's house, but love Fraggle Rock and The Snorks as Muppet series went on.
My aunt had a lot of toys from the 80s that she outgrew, so I got to play with them in the 90s. I remember watching Muppet Babies (I even have one episode on VHS). And Fraggle Rock was on tv before I went to school in the morning, if I recall correctly.
I was OBSESSED with Rainbow Brite as a kid!!! I loved this toy as a child! It was so much fun watching you play with it. It brought back so many happy memories!!!
Cool, I was a kid in the 80's and I loved Rainbow Brite. And I still love shrinky dinks. I just made some of my own yesterday. 😊
That looks like so much fun. I am a 70s baby. So I grew up in the 80s when all that came out. I love shrinky dinks. Now a days you don't need a kit to do shrinky dinks. Just the right clear plastic colored pencils and a light box. If you keep the plastic you get when you goto the grocery store that your DIY salads come in. Or plastic like that works fine.
Love Rainbow Brite. So cool the the product still worked so well
Boy does this ever bring back my childhood memories! I was 7 for most of 1983 and loved Shrinky Dinks!
I'm so glad that a channel like this actually exist because now I'm watching this like 24/7. Tysm
Loved this! Rainbow Brite rocked my world as a kid! Lol I had this as a gift one year and remember how much young me loved it! 😁
OMG I loved rainbow brite as a kid! I wasn't the generation who had her but I had old tapes of her and stuffies from my big sis! This whole vid brings me back! ❤💛💚💙💜
You can still buy the shrinks sheets at craft and hobby stores. They come in white, clear and frosted sheets. I used the white sheets in my printer then shrunk the image. It came out great! Oh and I use sharpie permanent pens for best results and don’t forget to seal your projects.
Yes, I probably should have mentioned that blank sheets & other kits are still sold today for those who may want some. I have a few packs sitting with my scrapbook paper stash. I did not know Sharpie could be used. Thanks for the tip! There's plenty of Mod Podge in my supply collection for sealing too.
Had the kit when I was little!!! Oops just hinted about my age! Lol! My dad would take the scraps of shrinky paper and make key chains for me!!! I would attend elementary with my custom made name key chain on my backpack!! Loved rainbow brite!!! Total blast from the past!! Brought back tons of memories!!!
Loved the vid! Shrinky Dink’s were one of my favorite things to do as a little kid! Lol I’m 13 but absolutely to do crafts and drawing and stuff
I feel like Sarah is the only craft ytber who still manages to keep that 2015- ish crafty vibe
Oh my goodness, Rainbow Bright was my childhood 😂❤️!
This video just made me feel real old LOL I was born in the 80's and grew up with Rainbow Bright and the Care Bears and everything. But to hear you use terms like "vintage" and "so old" made me cry just a little inside 🤣
Come for the crafts, stay for the smush sightings!
We need more of your fuzzy child! Can you do a craft of maybe a bowtie (because bowties are cool) or a cape? The flealion is adorable!!
OMG! I'M SO HAPPY! Rainbow Brite os my absolute favourite!
This is actually so cute. I freaking love rainbow bright. And lady lovely locks and punky brooster. Haha I wish I had this set
Good job. Turned out cute. I loved Rainbow Bright when I was younger, I had the doll and horse too!!
I'm glad you got footage of them shrinking! My favorite part by far! You're awesome
Loved the video. Rainbow bright was my fav when I was little. And I still love her
Ahh I had this kit as a kid in the 80s I actually remember being upset I didn't get brown or a dark blue. I also remember that I lost half of the shrinky dinks before they got colored. Also, my mom never wanted to turn on the oven to bake these (gotta love growing up in a desert). I do remember using the punish out background with my dolls though. Thanks for the trip down memory lane
PLEASE DO ANOTHER CRAFT KIT!!! I’ve been waiting for the crayola one for so long!!
PLZ DO CREATE THIS BOOK I LOVE THEM!!!! YOU ARE RLLY TALENTED!!!
Thank you! Episode #4 came out last Friday. :)
Omg I want this kit SO BAD. This is beyond adorable!!!
Oh my gosh that was so cute! Thank you for sharing. Oddly enough I never had shrinky dink’s when I was a kid...
I use to love Rainbow Brite, what a great idea and so lovely memories. Greatings from Argentina
I loved rainbow brite when I was younger I remember having a book that I would read all the time all the characters are just so cute! I’d love to see you try out the sticker making kit
I will love to see another craft kit by your honest reviews
This kit is actually so adorable! I would totally keep it on display 🌈
I'd love to see the Crayola Sticker Kit next!
I loved rainbow brite growing up! I’m excited to see the rest of the characters! Don’t forget to add some modpodge or dimension magic to your shrinky dink characters to make them last longer and add some shine! I can’t wait to see more Create this book!!
You are so talented! You should be an illustrator (if you’re not already!) You would make the cutest characters!
I'm glad I waited. I was at the dollar store and had decided I was going to start doing some colouring. I thought what the heck I'll just pick up the cheap colouring pencils I'm sure they'll be just fine. I'm glad I waited. The adult colouring books takes so much time to complete a picture that using faded out cheap pencil crayons would just be a waste of time.
do create this book
Please

CREATE THIS BOOK
Oh gosh, I just got a wave of nostalgia.
I love shrinky dinks. When I was younger I would make my cats/dog tags out of them because they were lighter and smaller. If you look up how to clean between oven glass on youtube you will find very helpful tutorials.
I remember doing these so well!! That was a major flash back!
This was the first of your videos I’ve ever seen, and I admit I was a bit nervous you wouldn’t do the beloved Rainbow Brite characters of my childhood justice. I’ve seen other YT videos using the wrong colors on certain characters, or coloring things haphazardly to hasten things along, or cutting the pieces all cattywampus,...
... I was all twitchy for no reason. You’ve got serious skills when it comes to coloring and it could be argued that your colors were even spiffier than the examples shown on the box art. You’re über talented!
🌈💕
Yay! I thought this was a new post but it’s not obviously but I’m still happy as I love vintage craft posts.
can you plz do the Crayola silly scents sticker maker
She did
please do create this book!
Turning that into a board game would be amazing!
That’s so cool! I could have sworn they were called shrinky dinkys in the UK, but I was only young so meh?!? I remember cereal packets giving them away as gifts. Also everyone used to shrink crisp packets and make jewellery or key rings out of them
My mom got us a Shrinky Dink kit in... '72 or '73, when I was 9 or 10, somewhere in there. Back then, the shrink-stuff wasn't any kind of paper -- it was clear plastic. And you had to draw/color on it with felt pens. IIRC, they had to be permanent markers, too. We were making ornaments for the tree (there were some patterns to trace, but nothing came printed on the shrink-plastic) so only having a few colors wasn't a huge deal. And yeah, a couple of dollars was a lot more back then than it is now. :) That was a time when if you were a kid and got a birthday card with a dollar in it, you were pretty pleased by that. I could get 4 or 5 comic books for a dollar, back in the day. Boo inflation. :P
i love watching crafting channels but i can never find any without the mind numbing royalty free music loud in the background so thank you for sparingly putting in good music when you arent talking!
When I was a kid, I loved Rainbow Brite (or as it was called in Germany "Regina Regenbogen").
I'm a new subscriber going through some of the older vids so you may never see this. If you do, I remember what was so cool about these was they were 2 tier. You got to make the Shrinky Dinks but it also gave you a whole world to put them in and play afterward. I had the He-Man set and it came with a 3D castle Greyskull made of the same thick cardboard. I played with that for years after I lost the Shrinky Dinks. Kids toys are still super cool and more advanced, but the play value on these old things were pretty cool and well thought out.
That reminds me of strawberry shortcake! I love it , I used to watch it when I was like 4-7 , now I am 11! I am not that old but I watched a lot of old school shows like , pink panther , Care Bears , strawberry shortcake , Tom and jerry , ScoobyDo , popples , And like a bunch of other shows! I love vintage.
Create this book
Ah i loved this video i think all of those characters are just SO cute!!!!
I loved shrinky dinks when i was a kid!
Hiya Sarah, wow these brought back some pretty fond memories, thanks for those :)
I used to love Shrinkie Dinks and I still love to have a little trip down memory lane with the modern day supplies of them I have now lol. My kids however never had the chance to enjoy these as I don't recall seeing them available when they were younger, which is a shame as I think they may have enjoyed crafts more if they had played with them. I am intrigued as to what else you have installed for us. All the best, Diane xx
Had no idea there's vintage craft kits! Thank you for sharing x
I was an 80s kid this brought me back 🥰😍
My grandma has the rainbow bright game. It is really fun,but really hard at the same time
I would love to see the craft kit review! specifically the Crayola silly senses sticker maker
Create this book! Great job coloring these too!
I love Rainbow Brite! This is awesome! I may have to go on ebay and find one of these! :)
That was sooo cute!!! I adored it!
Ugh I felt the word "vintage" in my heart. I remember the commercials for this so vividly. XD This was a fun video to watch! =)
Oh my, I always wanted to do those when I was a kid. Thank you for sharing. 🙂🙂
It would be super cool to frame or shadowbox the cardboard pieces with the characters
Rainbow brite! I have her doll, and her little rainbow horse. I didn’t grow up In the 80s but she was still around.
Create this book next please!!💞

Create this Book! Also, 1 video a week is not enough...I need more of your face!!!
One of my most cherished possessions is my Rainbow Brite doll with her little white Sprite. I would never part with them. I’m not mentioning my age lol!
I think you should do create this book.😋
I had this!...ok now I'm gonna watch.
I love your channel so much!
Cute
I’d love to see you test out an old Spirograph set.
Create this book
And next time you can try making a poll that way you don’t have to count out all the comments. Love you Sarah ❤️
I grew up in the early 2000’s and I would say I got all the good parts of the 80’s and 90’s. Shrinky dinks is the main example. I still buy shrinky dink paper to this day. I like making necklaces and keychains in my free time lol. I made one where I traced spongebob out of one of my grab-n-go coloring books and it pretty much looked exactly like spongebob. I have made many pairs of earrings with shrinky dinks. I would say the 80’s and 90’s were better in that sense. Huge red boom boxes. VHS tapes. Burning some real cool cd’s. My dad burned me a cd of just Christmas music quite a while ago. Every Wednesday (I live with my mom they aren’t together and Wednesday was his day to see me each week) he would pick me up from day care where I rode the bus to after school. And when we got to the car which was like twenty years old at that point (I always loved his older cars. When he kept them around I always imagined driving them one day) he would ask me what I wanted to listen to and I would always say my Christmas music. Frosty the snowman and jingle bells are pretty fun to hear on a hot summer evening. Thank you for making this Sarah lol I appreciate the nostalgic feels. Lol but anyways I wanna make a toast 🥂 (pours champagne even though is underage) I hear by want to say that the 80’s and 90’s toys should get more recognition. Thank you for reading and thank you for all the hard work that you put into your videos Sarah. Thanks for reading and thanks for the nostalgia. Have a great one 😁😁😁
Yay! This was SSOOOO cute!! Happy Valentine’s Day! Love your videos so much!!!
Thank you! And I hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day as well. ^-^
More craft kits!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps I have the exact same pot holder 👍
Craig's mom got two of them for us! Because we had both burnt ourself on the oven in the past. 😣
@@SoCraftastic that's basically why we got that one as well. The 2 we had before started to wear down. One night I went to pull a heavy pan of lasagna out of the oven, got burnt and dropped the whole pan!! It was awful!! Needless to say the new oven mitt is amazing!
They turned out really good 🙃👍
I love shrinky dinks and I love your channel won loved this video! Also watching you color in the unicorn was soooo satisfying great job!!!!!!! also you should try out the sticker maker it looks pretty cool! #runawaysprite 😂😂🤣
I love shrink dinks!
