BEFORE opening it, Why not put a cheep basic painter's drop-sheet/plastic sheet, or clean shower curtain, or a bed sheet that's easy to shake outside the car, and/or wash, in order to catch the debris that comes out? Sure beats spreading the dust & pollen & bugs, or needing to vacuum the carpet/upholstery etc...
Not sure how I can get the new filter in without destroying it. Very flimsy & catches on the edge all the way around, and distorts. Been trying for 15 minutes, will probably end up tearing it.
