Mossy is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time - this track is up there with the best of Eric Clapton
Love it. Even in 2023

Speechless
Absolutely loooove this!! Love Mossy…best guitarist ever!!!
Saw him at the Kings Arms Tavern in Auckland in 2001 where it felt like he played to about 20 people! I'm sure he had Phil Small on bass & David the harmonica player with him. After gig we went "backstage" where, seated on a beer crate (might've been a really old office chair), Mossy signed my newly purchased CD (Petrolhead? Purchased at the gig)! How privileged was I? The king of Australasian guitar & melody right there in a tiny room at the back of an Auckland bar!
Sadly I never had a chance to see Chisel in their heyday as I was too young. I was just beginning to discover their music when they disbanded. They did tour North Qld, where I live, in 1980 and 1982, I was a young teenager then and simply did not have the wherewithal to attend. I did see Barnesy in 1986 and again in the 90's, fantastic concerts.
Mossy's album Matchbook is a classic in my opinion and it got a workout on my car stereo back in 1989 when it was released. Now some 35 years after he released that album I am finally going to get to see him on his River's Run Dry acoustic tour. I still live in Nth Qld so my wife and I have to travel to Bundaberg to see him as that's as far north as he's touring. That's a small price to pay to see this Australian guitar legend. When you watch him play it just looks so effortless, which tells you just how good he is, he's world class. And at 68 years of age his voice has lost nothing. It'll be an awesome weekend and I can't wait.
Powerful track, probably this, Such a beautiful thing & Telephone Booth are my fave's from the LP. Oh and I'll remember you also great.
