When played Qh5 both player kew it was over because there is no way black can defend the Horse and the rook at the same time. Because the rook already has one defender but needs two. The only piece that can do that is the Queen, and that is already defending the knight. So a loss of a pice is immanent. and then its just easy for a Gm.

On the day after xmas though, you just decide to give rating away like some kind of ELO santa claus? It's unlikely that you were hungover. You acknowledged that you were missing things, you knew you were playing slowly. Does that ever happen on a good day? It happened constantly here, still you kept going as if you're suffering from alexithymia. Next time you're on tilt, quit for the day. "That was bad, whatever"? "I just have to win anyway somehow"? Against 3000's? You even expressed this delusion that your opponent was a specific famous nemesis, one of the best players in the world, and "knew this" based on an extremely bad play the guy made? What kind of pathetic analysis is that? I can't believe you're 3350 while you haven't even conquered a pitfall as common as chasing losses. For your elo's sake, hang it up for the day after losing a game to a guy rated 400 points lower than you, man. This tells me you can reach 3400 easily, probably 3500. This is an EASY hole in your game to patch up b/c it's not even in your game. Don't let ego get in the way of your elo. You're way, way better than this.
I feel like Hikaru is the worst great athlete ive ever watched in any sport. His skill puts him in front of almost anyone in the sport of chess but he can be so inconsistent
I think because the King had to be activated in any case, and wanted to trade the Rooks to play the end game which will be in his favor. Whereas if he had played Rxf7, the Rooks wouldn't have been traded with an active king.

Black will lose his knight and struggle to defend the king who will be checkmated. If not black would be checkmated sooner.
