Yeah I thought the same. The chess that Hikaru plays this way is not linked with opening preparation already at first moves and this show us how is important to understand the positions. Ironically this disrespect speedrun turns to be a Great lessons serie
What amazes me the most is the way you play the openings. The first 12 moves or so you have the perfect understanding of how to gain a positional advantage at the beginning and it’s so satisfying
It works when the opponent is either 1. In a mood to play opening theory and by playing those, you shock and/or annoy them 2. Tilted and they get more annoyed when you play those. It usually does not work very often against me if I'm in a stoic mood so I would assume it generally is the case. Even when I lose, I think the game is pretty much played okay by me, not melted. Unless of course if the opponent's chess is significantly better.
I can kind of relate to this speed run. Today 2 opponent tried to play a Caro Kann and forcibly trapped their own queens by move 10 and resigned. I guess they didn't get the memo that the Caro Kann is all pawns and no hope.
You have 3 goals in the opening. Develop your pieces, castle, and connect the rooks. Don't start an attack until your done opening. Pawn moves are only good if they allow development. The center large center are where you must focus your pieces, so don't develop knights to d2 or e2 if you can help it and certainly not to h3 or a3.
Get stronger in the game in general... That's it. The stronger your foundations are, the less you blunder and play inaccuracies in general. In other words, play principled chess.
@Memes shorts I haven't played rated chess in over a decade. I'd estimate my current playing strength probably around an A player with a master's understanding of the fundamentals. I usually find best moves close to 80% when I put my games through a chess engine. It's the other 20% that gets me into trouble.
Vampire fangs opening that is a new one. I'm tryng to get to 1600, this makes me want to keep going. Could you disrespect 2000s? Hopefully they would not blunder too much but can they wreck the novelty openings? 2000 might be doable but it could take me a while.
When a pawn has advanced to the fifth row on the board and an opposing pawn moves out two spaces in an adjacent column, the first pawn can then declare an "en passant" capture and move diagonally behind the opposing pawn. The captured pawn is then removed as if captured normally.
Bro when I heard one of the comments say he's not smart bro if he isn't smart who is like he can play chess without looking thats insane and he is like the funniest chess player much love to you Hikaru 😂 ❤️
Hikaru after 3 moves: "everything is winning "
Currently this is my favorite series on youtube
this honestly beats most guess the elo these days

Hikaru: g4 is too much
Also Hikaru: *plays kf2*
Well, g4 actually looks much riskier
This is hikaru's way of trash talking, It's godly, yet he rates himself 75 out of 100 on trash talking...
What is godly about it
@@enioteme5933 being non existent maybe? :))
Nice reference
Hikaru trashed talked himself
There's a difference between trash talking in your room and talking to someone else OTB

14:40 "no you don't get to take the pawn"
Brutal 😂
the deeper he gets into the ratings the more mistakes are made it makes absolutely no sense
Definitely untrue
yea it makes no sense because you make no sense lol
Lower rated players are used to playing against goofy moves but higher rated players are caught off guard and mess up.
because when you play in 700 rating you blunder, Hikaru doesn't
So disrespectful 😂
You know, I’ve just randomly played h6 and a6 against fellow 1000s and they melt because they are immediately out of theory
I play a modified nimzo-larsen (1. b3) when I play in open tournaments. It's funny to see them looking around not sure what is going on.

I am 1750 on lichess and I randomly play h5 and my fellow 1700-1800’s dont know what to do and they loose 😂
big difference, being out of theory in move 1 instead of move 3
Love when he laughs at his opponent’s
👉🧠
😶🌫️👅🥸👾🫦
“Checkmate, better luck next time” had me rolling
Hikaru talking about his "big black center" has a completely new meaning for me after his BWC video-title.
Lost it just before to that when he said “the ohio gambit”
You’re the Brad Pitt of chess in my eyes.
The guy who makes these intros is a legend

10:51 "Lets target the bee shop".
Imagine being good enough that you just sacrifice material for no reason.
“I dont have to sacrifice here, but whatever. Who cares.”
Been enjoying your content and ive been playing chess alot more. Thank you!
It is so refreshing to see some real disrespect. These days the worlds just too full of participation trophies😂
how many openings can you play?
Hikaru: yes
Players above 1600 be like: "Take and take and if takes I take and if takes takes takes queen e2?"
bro i just search up the disrespect speedrun to see if you posted a new one and there it was 1 minute old
This is just outrageous. There are levels
11:38 Worst Thing that Hikaru has seen 😂🤣
14:42 no you dont get to take a pawn
Just absolutely cracked me xD
Bro has the most evil laugh in the begining
The intro gets me every time
“I take and I take he takes I take”
If Hikaru wins, I lose. If Hikaru loses, I lose. If Hikaru breathes, I breathe. If Hikaru blinks, I blink.
Hikaru is peace,
Hikaru is life.
"Momentum. Development. Violence."
Brother doing a Disrespect Speedrun, while he had another Speedrun sacing his Queen, is there more disrespect?😂
Your editor is so damn good.
The more vitriolic the disrespect, the more I'm laughing.
Bro this shit has helped me improve lol it’s so funny the beginning u said the game looked to normal so u moved your king lol
3:39 intro moment
"the mods don't dictate my schedule... to that degree." But they do dictate it?🤣
i swear the 800s i play would roll this dude
@Chain NVSTR He thinks the 800s he plays would roll the 1600
@GmHikaru678 haha
@@chainnvstr4034 no..
It's wild how he just strolls out of awful positions.
The outro jump scared me
11.40 the most disrespectful i have ever seen😂😂😂😂
please teach us how to understand openings when it's not something you're familiar with
The same way you evaluate other positions lol
Control the center... don't take bait because it's a trap

And now there is a super bongcloud? It's getting challenging to keep up for us older folks. Subbed.
Opponent gives check out of check and he be like look at my pawn structure what a legend 🤟
"16 year old morons"- Something a 17 or 18 year old would write lmfao
The Great Wall of pawn was disrespectful
What has Hikaru been up to these days, doing all sorts of chess speedruns
Yeah pretty much same shit. He won Fischer Random Event.
"take and take and if takes I take if takes takes takes, Qe2... come onnnnnn!!!!"
Hikaru makes a disrespect session and calls it a speedrun. but for for me, every session is a disrespect session
How can I use this color for my chessboard 1:05? Is this another extension?
@gtplus6216 ??
The disrespect layout is amazing but did you know if you zoom to fill on an iphone it fits so perfectly
Hikaru leaning into being the chess heel
Thats entertainment! :D Hopefully youll make the same kind of stream this year end too?! :D
The one after Gandolf was 👏 👏 👏
11:17 Song?
We are hitting levels of disrespect that shouldn't even be possible...
What playlist is he listening to?
My first rating was 1631 when I was in 3rd Grade. I think that was around 1962 or 1963.
Who?

SAME. Utter disrespect.
Does anyone else think that the intro to all of hikarus speedruns are similar to serial killer documentaries 😭
3:18 Knights on the rim are Tim 🐴
Win with mate on F3 speed run
Or select a square to mate before you play.
I see it hard but I think for super GM could be easier!
The Ohio gambit is so powerful even Hikaru can't counter it
