Godsmack and disturbed the best 2 bands of all time in my opinion! They brought me back from the dead when I was down. Thank you guys! Forever your #1 fan!
1000% agree. I have loved these 2 bands since I was a teen, 34 now and still love them. Don't enjoy every song, but each album as a whole has never stopped being awesome. Not legendary as metallica, led zeppelin, etc. But also not the new crap millennials like today. I think it's bands like this that you have to know since the beginning to enjoy their journeys and changing sounds.

They sure as heck don't sound like Nickleback, but one thing I will say....even though I don't like Nickelback, one thing they have in common with Godsmack is the amazing "Wall Of Sound" that they create live. Strictly from a power live standpoint....Nickelback and Godsmack can hold their own with ANY band out there.

Seen Godsmack and shinedown. Godsmack's sound was puuuuuurfect.
Shinedown came on and it was to freakin loud. Stayed for 2 songs and exited the arena. Very much enjoyed the drum duel.

I know some Godsmack fans don't like the change. It's more commercial than some of the past music. But osn't that their job? To appeal to and BUILD their fan base??? Not to mention they haven't released an album in a while so in order to fund a tour you have to be radio friendly to a certain extent. I love these guys! For those saying they don't sound like themselves...that's stupid. Yes I wish they had laid the guitar and base on a bit heavier but they still have their sound.

I like the album. My fav since Faceless. Bands need to diverse their sounds more and while Linkin Park did so, I hated most of what they did. But still, bands can’t please everybody.

Bob from Connecticut the last thing I thought I'd ever heard my life would hear in my life you sound like Nickelback right no one sounds like Nickelback I don't even hear that name anymore I don't even think I hear their music on the radio anymore I don't even think I listen to the radio anymore oh yeah I do once in a great while when I'm driving when I'm not listening to the home of the home of the VA in the vet okay now I know the problem Nickelback was a one hit wonder no they weren't they had a couple good songs and I seen him in concert during all right band I can't get down on them my wife really likes her music I think he's she's got their CDs later from Connecticut Connecticut leaving the house

Best album they done was IV in my opinion. Legends Rise doesn't even scrape that album.
Still feel Awake and The Oracle were their best albums. When Legends Rise is good as I like Unforgettable, Just One Time, and Someday but a few of the songs sound like Metallica (ugh!)

I definitely can agree this album was some of their best work since the first album. The brand new one isn’t the usual Godsmack sound and it failed pretty badly

Even on the godsmack's worst days they are gonna sound different and better than nickelback... And I don't say this to offend anybody or nickelback itself (even I like some of their songs) but is ridiculous to compare... godsmack is a very powerful machine.

Dont like what they've done with this new album, thought it was 3 doors down when I heard bulletproof. It's sad but these bands do need to evolve to appeal to the newer younger crowd
