First of all, this shit was too damn funny. Second, I'm not a big fan of the new comercial sound, but I read in an interview that Sully gave, that they felt they are a bit too old to keep playing about how angry they are, the current state of mind and I think maturity are a little bit opposing. Somehow they evolved, and felt the need to play something that resonates with what they are now, something real at this time for them. Haters, real fans, whatever. Music is music, passion and work alltogheter. I will be killing this album because I love what Godsmack made all these years, I grew up listening to every single record, and this will not be an exception. If you really love a band, you also respect them, so I strongly advise you to stop bashing them around, and give the record a listen, you might be surprised - I'm so ready for tommorow.
Good reply. They trashed Chris Cornell when he put out his solo work. He was older, had a family and settled down. People mellow with age. That did not mean he still did could not rock out. It is the same with Godsmack. I love their music but also love Sully's solo albums. I think they sound great.

That doesn't surprise me. Sully always was a loose goose when he danced. When he played Whatever back in the day, I couldn't believe it. He could shake his head so hard the cameras couldn't follow while moving his body in a different direction. That is crazy.

I just can't get enough of this video and Mr. Pasquale's dance moves! :D Being able to approach your own experience after so many years on stage, with all the good and the bad stuff, with so much humor is priceless. A lot of people can learn something about not taking themselves too serious from Godsmack, while still evoling and doing stuff from the heart.
The first 3 Godsmack albums were absolutely awesome. The longer bands stay and play together, making millions, the anger Wich I believe is the heart of hard rock , now there just making music commercially. The anger and passionate delivery is usually washed away by success and money. Not just godsmack , happens to alot of bands. Its hard to fake the anger that drives a good band. Godsmack became mainstream when I was in middle school, so their evolution coincided with mine so I can go back and reminisce and rock out to their new stuff just fine. They're one of the few bands that haven't changed so much they're unrecognizable, but have continued to be marketable as well as stay true to the fans. The only ones that were forsaken by the band are the ones who have changed the most.

Godsmack are still here giving their all and entertaining us. They are genius, still entertaining their original fans whilst still having the magnetism that attracts new fans every day.
