  • ECCO BIOM C4 END OF TERM REVIEW
Ecco's Biom C4 is a great looking shoe but how does it measure up now I've been wearing it for over a year. In this video I give you a thorough report on all aspects of owning this shoe and how it compares to it's obvious rival the Ecco S Three.

I own Ecco golf and casual and in my Biom, the heel liners wears out too quick. Reason being Ecco are using a cloth trainer type heel rather rather suede or leather which longer lasting.
Just to bear in mind if your purchase Ecco as they are towards to top end price wise!

Have to say haven't noticed that, will have to check other models to see how they're constructed. It is crucial you get the right size, as slightly too big will wear out virtually any heel liner. I did it on original Footjoy Classics which were chiselled from granite.

currently considering these. In the store the S3 felt great at first but then felt flatter/lower in the heel which seemed to stretch my Achilles. The C4 seemed a little higher in the heel, perhaps with more drop from heel to toe. Also, the front half of the C4 seemed to turn inward a bit, which seemed more likely to work with that odd bend i have in my feet, which i see changing the shape of my shoes over time. Has anyone else experienced either issue with these shoes? At this price I don’t want to make a mistake.

Everything you say about the C4 seems to make sense. It's the Biom last which is different to the S3 and does have a slight bend in it. S3 is softer and lighter, C4 is more stable and potentially more breathable.

On my third pair of Ecco golf shoes and can’t see me getting any other make. I’ve had Footjoy, Adidas and Nike and IMO they are not in the same league. (Saying that, I’m currently using Adidas winter golf boots and they’re brilliant in the wet and mud and at c.£80, I don’t mind trashing them)
In the summer, Ecco are excellent.

Yes, I'm the same now, when I pick up some of the other shoes now, they just seem like bits of plastic. There's just a completely different feel about Eccos from the minute you pick them up.

S3, softer, but still supportive, better looking I think

@@golffm6924 thank u. I’m so excited to finally own some Ecco’s and Im about to order some S3’s. Boa or no Boa?

The H4’s felt great but I like the S3 look a lot. And since it’s more comfortable and stable then thanks

Just got the C4 in lace up system, the boa didn’t still well on the top of my foot. I could feel it while walking. Same thing for H4 and S3. The single boa is never suited me, both my bike shoes have double. Ecco‘s side Boa is better but still I wasn’t comfortable with it. S3 has a massive opening and is much softer, this the heel and ankle slide up while walking even on the flat ground, thus creating an unusual bend in the front of the shoe. The creasing that I felt with every step. I tried 9 shoes before I confirmed C4. Pretty penny as compared to others on offer. Let’s hope they work with high torque shots. Thanks!

@@teteatale I got 2 pairs of S3’s now and haven’t gone to the course with them because it’s rained a week straight. Both are BOA laced. How did u like how the S3’s felt in the soles compared to the H4 and C4? Thanks

I spoke to Ecco about this a while ago, I'll try to find and re-post what they said
