  • Stains on stone counters can be a real pain. While we do our best to avoid them, inevitably, we'll find a way to stain these heavily trafficked surfaces. In this video, I show you how to effectively remove stains from stone countertops using just a few ingredients you likely already have around the house. This stain removal tip is perfect for natural stone countertops like granite, marble, and limestone. Remember-always test in a hidden area first, and also be sure to check any manufacturer instructions which you were provided upon installation. #stainremoval #naturalstone #counters

    This worked for me! I had a ring from a laundry detergent cup sitting by my sink overnight. My granite is a very light creamy beige. The only reason I can see this ring now is because I knew where it was. No one else will ever know. Thank you so much for the tip. I thought I had ruined the whole slab.

    Before I found this video I used baking soda on a fresh stain and it got it up nicely! Let it set for 5 mins and then scrubbed with brush and it came up. Now I will go ahead and get the sealer because I know my granite was not sealed by the builder on a new home I purchased a 6 weeks ago!

    Hi there! I noticed a faint yellow stain on my mom's wall (painted with a semi gloss light mint colored paint) next to where she had a high intensity lamp. Not using that light anymore. Any hope of getting rid of this stain? Not even sure it was the lamp.

    I need help! We have a quartzite counter top that is NOT polished. It's the natural matte finish. For the first time I sealed it with 511 impregnator and everything went fine except there are a few spots now that are grey in appearance and noticeable. It's almost as if the sealer soaked too far into the stone in just those spots. I have no idea how to remove these discolorations. Does anyone have any advice??

    💌 I am going to give the DIY solution a try. My counter isn't marble or stone but the stain wouldn't remove with Cleaning Vinegar and you can't even see it but it's some kind of a grainy stain, you can feel it but you can't see it. Any other tips,? Thanks.

    So my cleaning lady used a window cleaner on my cultured stone countertop and now is I see spots all over the top like it is wet, yet it really is dry. Apparently something in the cleaner leeched it’s way into the top surface. Do you think I should try baking soda on the surface to see if it will pull up whatever soaked into that top?

    Why do my clothes come out of the dryer with oil-like stains. My tops are mainly 100% polyester. They have spots on them that look like oil and the spots were not there prior to cleaning. I must be doing something wrong. Have you heard of this before?

    In reading the comments, my question is should the hydrogen peroxide be of a certain strength? Another question is I have seen instructions where you cover the poultice with wrap and tape it down. Why don’t you do that? Thanks.

    What's the concoction for a rust stain?

    • @MakersClean
      @MakersClean  Месяц назад

      Great question! You can mix one part baking soda with one part water, until it forms a paste. Apply it to the affected area and let sit for 10-15 minutes. After the time has passed, you can use a microfiber cloth to wipe away the paste. If the stain hasn't come out, try again but let it sit overnight before wiping away. As always, be sure to test in an inconspicuous spot first!

    So I ruined my natural stone windowsills with waterstains but also with cleaning products that worked themselves in the stone and leave a couple of ugly big visible stains. I tried everything to get rid of them, none of them worked. Now I bought some kind kind of natural stone remover powder from Ali express but would like to try this baking soda method as well. I hope it works!

    Later Edit: it actually works... but after I did your steps, I also had to cover it with a soft paper tissue and a plastic wrap and keep it for ~24h , so that the baking soda doesn't solidify. It was much more effective. :) thanks
