Looking good Jay , can’t wait to follow along with these bricks they look smart 👌🏼. I don’t think any water will be getting past all that plastic 😳😆🧱👍🏼. If you haven’t already give Rob Songer a watch . He is the UK s best and builds some stunning creations 🤩👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Morning , I sure know rob I believe the first brickvideos I watched on yt was from rob songer, the last staircase was a beauty there omg... Thanks guys 🙏
Excellent work Jay 👍. Wow serious DPC action! Looks very good, most I see in UK is normally just one layer of DPC at finished floor level on inner and outer skin. Still amazes me how building a house can vary from country to country. I wonder why we don't install DPC like that here in the UK? To me that DPC install looks far superior. 👍👍👍🍺
Holy flip, that dpc is some crazy stuff. Here in america we only have one dpc, and it’s the one that comes from under the framing and through the brick. At least one course under top of foundation. love the vids bro!
Its not surprising you were sounding a bit tired and stressed out at the end there, Jay! So much detail to get your head round when it's a one off build like that.
The Dutch were the best bricklayers when thousands of UK b/layers worked in Germany, late 70's and 80's.Going off Jay's vids, the Belgians are top lads too.
Proper job with the DPC. The vast majority of UK Brickies haven't a clue when it comes to DPC locations, not surprising really when they have butchered their apprenticeship training schemes so much.
Hiya Jay, as ever another really interesting video mate 👍. Massive amount of work in that dpc, you can see that it takes ages. Those bricks will give a really unusual look once finished, can't wait 😀 Glad to see that you're ok, heard on the radio that Belgium had rising rates & thought of you 😱. Definitely agree with Steve and Alex- if you're not watching already - you should check out Rob Songer. Truly inspirational fella 👍👍 Are you on Instagram ?, quite a few of us in the UK are on it 👍. Hope you have a good one mate. Regards Tim
Morning Tim yup it's a lot of work that dpc will be glad when that's done .. Planning to do it all around the house first before building the wall up . Yup I do know rob it's a master and no don't have Instagram I must be one of the few people not using it 😅, lol am I a dinosaur? Thanks a lot mate have a good weekend 🙏
Glad to see Belgium has caught up with the UK with using ridiculous amounts of unnecessary DPC😀 when I worked in Holland in the 70s I don't ever remember using it.
@@JayKTS I’ve watched all your videos. Keep them coming mate. The step by step detail you share with us is excellent. I start metsalar school January in the Netherlands and your giving me plenty of good tips
@@JayKTS Hey bro. I’m from Dublin, Ireland. The school is in Bergen op zoom. With Bouwmensen. They have a agency called Vakmasters that trains guys the pick and dip method which is a lot better and faster than the Irish/English way. So I’m going to train up there and eventually go ZZP when I’m confident enough. You far from there

nothing worse then the feeling of rubbing your fingers against the dpc when laying
plaats je altijd nog DPC onderaan de eerste laag? Heb dit nog nooit gezien
Bedoel je de dpc dat de eerste lagen inpakt? Of de roofing ?
@@JayKTS de laag DPC op de roofing
I need Trowell like yours
You can get it here they are cheap www.eurafco.com/eng/jung-65319000-brick-trowel-floreffe-190-x-142-mm-4010496653200.html
