Great video! I'm waiting for this laptop. Just order one (i7 with 4K). I use the dell precision 5530 (4K) now, so I go for 4K with the X1C. Another reason is that some reviews show the quality of the 1920*1200 panel is not good. If possible, could you check if we can put a 5G wwan into this laptop? And how can we insert the sim card into it? Also, where could we get the 5G module? Thanks!
I did take a quick look at that and it’s not good news (at least in the U.K.) the nano sim slot is missing in the chassis and there is no antennas installed (unlike older models) this makes adding it yourself pretty much a no go. The sim tray is on the motherboard though so you could possibly remove the motherboard and add the sim but you would still need to buy antennas and the wwan card (you can pick these up on eBay)
@@MashITTech I just checked, but they don't have the X1C 5G wwan. Only some 5G wwan from HP. I'm thinking put the 5G wwan from X1 nano into X1C to see if it works. And I guess we have to take the motherboard out to insert the sim card.

Hi Daniel, as soon as I have a little more hands on time I will come back with more information but so far.. the 1200p seems very clear and I am currently running at 125% scaling. It is obviously not as crisp as the nano but 1200p on a 14" seems a good option and text looks really crisp. We just got the Nano and our Carbon gen9 will arrive in a couple of days. The Nano is as light as a feather. And super-thin. If you look on the internet about keyboard design on super-thin laptops you will see the issues they have with trying to design mechanical keys for such thin form factors. It is quite a difficult problem to solve, apparently. So it is true - the Nano keyboard is not quite as nice as the X13 or older models. However, for such a tiny machine the size of the keyboard is quite good. It is responsive and is easy to type on. Just not quite as nice as the older Lenovo laptops - but still very good considering how tiny this machine is.
