    Mr. Unix Guy, just saw your video (just released 1 hour ago) and again, how informative with your step-by-step process that you map out for this career! You without a doubt Sir, are the best of the best! I love your knowledge, experience and tenacity! Keep those videos going as I always take away a chunk of knowledge from them that I didn't have before. The videos also provide motivation and determination to succeed as in my case! Just as simple as follow the path you provide and NEVER QUIT!!! Never listen to the toxic garbage, just keep going! Great video as always, I am doing exactly that, I scaled a lot of things down and have leaned heavy into more hands on in AWS for solutions architect with a specialty in security, so much so I've paid and will for the next 3-6 months for Cloud Quest which is amazing by the way for cloud hands on experience. I do plan on getting more into security automation after I become proficient in AWS. I am also still trucking through the last few 6 classes at WGU and I still do some coding here and there in python to keep me familiar until I can deep dive into it.

    Hi, I completed your Cyber Security GRC course and added it to my resume. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the world. I do hold IBM and Google cyber security Certs, however, it's been hard to find a job since I am transitioning from a healthcare career. Most jobs require CompTIA + Certs, and I am planning to take the exam soon.

    • @UnixGuy
      @UnixGuy  3 месяца назад

      Hi E. Blake, I emailed you today because you are the first person to complete the course so I wanted to hear your thoughts!
      Since you’ve just completed the course, it’s a good time to update the CV and start applying to jobs every single day (even if they ask for comptia, apply anyway). With your healthcare background and your recently acquired GRC knowledge, you will be an asset. I strongly believe you are very close to reaching your goal!

    *Resume Advice Pls*
    Thank you for always providing such useful advice and insights. I have been following your channel for a while now and have completed a majority of the guided projects and certifications you have recommended. I would like to know if I could put these certifications as experience on my CV or just projects? I have put the skills obtained in the skills section but Im having a dilemma if I should put the labs in the professional experience section. I have created a github and started putting my projects and certifications there. Coming from a non tech background, the only relevant experience that comes to my mind would be the Blue team level 1 exam. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
